Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting symptoms child

vomiting

Avatar n tn Having her gallbladder removed fixed about 75% of her extreme symptoms, of first feeling hot and flushed then came the vomiting. Based on her symptoms, I'd say her gallbladder has NEVER functioned properly. Even as a baby we were constantly changing formulas due to vomiting. They just don't usually think of it being the gallbladder in a child. Worth asking the doctor about and gettting tested for food allergies - and keep a diary of what foods preceded an event.
Avatar n tn Can you be more specific about the symptoms here? And is your child 41 years old or is that a typo?
Avatar n tn The vomiting only occurs every few days but the other symptoms are daily. He dispalys a few other symptoms but these are the most extreme.

Avatar f tn s been vomiting for two weeks. Every few days at first, now daily. It smells terrible. She wont eat, but is drinking some. She's had a minimal amount of diarrhea with no normal bowel movements. Stomach is distended and she complains of pain. She is playful when not vomiting. I'm terrified. Time for a 3rd opinion?
Avatar f tn She does not run a fever, have diarrhea or a headache or any other symptoms associated with a virus. She also can eat during these times, but if she moves too much she throws up again. The first time that I took notice of it happing (I think there may be other times that I have written off to a kid being a kid) I thought it was viral....the second time coincidence....the third time I'm concerned.
Avatar f tn Hi I just found out that I'm having my 3rd child I'm due april 4th. But I'm not sure how I'm feeling about it I'm very confused. Avatar f tn Mealtimes can be a battlefield when children do not have an interest to eating healthy or eat very little. It becomes the battle of the wits between the child and the parents. Slowly introduce new foods, and if he does not want it, do not make a fuss over it. Let it go and enjoy your meal. Try again in a few months. So relax and enjoy your mealtimes and let him enjoy his meals, too. Joyous meals are a better choice than a battleground when a child does not want to eat certain foods.
Avatar m tn m interested in the outcome of your daughters symptoms. My girlfriends daughter is also 7 and dealing with the same symptoms and even the same 3am time when they vomit. They ruled out a brain tumor and are now looking at food allergies. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Avatar f tn nausea and dizziness in the middle of the night, vomiting, light sensitivity, etc.: she was finally diagnosed with cyclic vomiting syndrome which is a form of abdominal migraine. Because she was not having extreme headaches with it, no one thought of migraines until much later. There is nothing the doctors can do for her other than treat the symptoms, but it was such a relief to finally figure out what was wrong with her.
Avatar n tn my son has been vomiting alot lately and not sure why. He doesnt have a fever.
1105389 tn?1258003525 i had this when carrying my first child and worst of it started at 4 weeks pregnant, it peaked at 12-17 weeks pregnant where i was sick 30 -50 times a day, this led to me vomiting some blood in small amounts, due to bursting blood vessels when retching, and the stomach lining being irritated due to volumes and frequency of vomiting, if your girlfriend has similar symptoms it may be worth seeing your gp/ or maternity consultant as this condition can lead to dehydration, if it not these symptoms
Avatar f tn This is my first child, 12 weeks and the smell of everything literally tears my stomach up. I can't keep anything down (solids and liquids) i know everyone is different in their pregnancy, but what was the few things that you could eat and not get sick from?
Avatar n tn m 6 weeks and let me tell you its not easy! i have been vomiting and cannot keep food down at all. we are all different. but my symptoms are really showing this week. i had this bad cramps. i stilll have them but not so much. it just means your uterus is stretching.
Avatar f tn I have my first dr appt tomorrow, but I am a little nervous because of the lack of symptoms. With my first, I had symptoms way earlier. I just hope everything is okay, anyone else experience no symptoms at this stage?
Avatar f tn I am a 25 year old caucasian female, married with an 8 month old child. After having an ongoing sinus infection for more than a month, I have developed a sudden alcohol intolerebce. Just one drink will give me severe nausea, vomiting and loose stools. I now have sulfur tasting burps, increased gas and continuing nausea. Food does sound appealing at all. What could be causing this? I have been diagnosed with IBS in the past, but this is totally different.
Avatar f tn If it were my child, I would wait. Most stomach viruses last 24-72 hours. Let his stomach rest. He needs to get to the point where he is eating again and food is staying down.
Avatar f tn She has experienced several years of recurring loss of consciousness, but revives in a few minutes. Most times she had episodes while vomiting. She always lies down to prevent falls. After taking milk out of her diet, the frequent vomiting stopped and the fainting episodes seemed to stop.....for awhile. Then, four weeks ago she was in her bedroom and cut herself accidentally with a pair of scissors...she went out. She doesn't know how long she was out. She was confused and pale.
Avatar f tn Lol I got it all.
Avatar f tn I have had almost no symptoms others than having to pee all the time. I am 6w 4d.
Avatar f tn Sometimes this is severe enough to require readmission and IV fluids. If your child develops vomiting it would be best to return to the hospital. The low grade fevers are also to be expected as the inflammation resolves. Temps of 99-100 are very common but spiking fevers to over 101.5 need to be reported to your surgeon.
Avatar m tn Try cutting out the milk and if the child is still vomiting try another food he eats , are there other symptoms ?
