Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting in toddlers

vomiting

Avatar n tn Hi, My daughter who has recently turned 2.5 years old recently grew the habit of forcefully vomit her breakfast and snacks without any physical disorder symptoms. The occurence is erratic which doesn't allow us or her pediatrician to associate with any disorder. Is this common for toddlers or something is wrong. I was recently reading one article on Autism and her vomiting symptoms seems familiar but other symptoms of autism never has appeared in her.
Avatar n tn I have a 2 year old that refuses to eat anything he may eat a cheese doodle here and there. We have started him on formula for toddlers because of his weight loss and when he does eat he says his belly hurts and this morning he was throwing up the formula but kept it down today. What do you do for a toddler that will not touch food?
Avatar n tn My son (aged 2) has 3 enlarged nodes in his neck, one over 2inch long and pretruding, and one in his groin. He has seen the pedritician and they have said that 2 in his neck and 1 in his groin are all within the normal limits (although the one is larger than a grape?) the one that is longer than two inches she said was larger than normal but felt ok to her. They did a blood count (normal) and test for glandular fever and told me to not worry.
Avatar f tn I am just looking for some opinions. I have been doing lots of research in hopes of helping him in the interim year that we are waiting for an appt. and we do have another appt with the ped next week. I have also gotten him into a clinic that is funded by the Autism Alliance for an evaluation by them...although it will not be an official diagnosis it will help sort some things out, I hope. Thanks so much for reading and giving any input.
Avatar n tn and yes I have terrible nausea with this pregnancy as well as intermittent vomiting. However, I work full-time and have 2 toddlers to take care of....I am extremely thankful for my live-in mother-in-law and an amazing husband! Enjoy the rest, if you can, cause when baby gets here it will all change! Hang in there!!!
1544053 tn?1328691992 Just watch her for about 48 hours, if nothing is amiss by that time you should be in the clear. If you see any signs that something is wrong, call your vet and make an appointment to have her evaluated.
Avatar f tn So my 7 1/2 week old son was in his car seat on the floor right next to our couch I was making food, my husband said that my 3 year old son had done a flip off the couch n kicked my 7 week old on the head he had shoes on. My baby doesn't have a lump but its a Lil red. He's still eating no vomiting. So I take him to be checked out or is he ok?
Avatar f tn So now I do but I also noticed that before I have a bowel movement I get a HORRIBLE cramp like pain in my lower abdomen that stops me dead in my tracks and sometimes makes me panic. It subsides after 10 seconds and I am trying to get to the bathroom as fast as possible. I have a normal BM but the pain beforehand is crazy. I HATE IT! I wonder if this is due to the higher fiber?
1214043 tn?1266316769 To make a VERY long story short, he would wake up in the middle of the night screaming in pain, he started to cry in the middle of something, then it would go away like nothing happened. It was either head hurting, knees or feet. It was hard to get a specific with a 2 year old. I kept bringing him to the dr's. I was told growing pains, too. I brought him to the ER at one point and he had a spinal tap and was admitted. But they couldn't find what was wrong.
Avatar m tn Chalazions in toddlers occur in two forms, the "internal" variety and the "external" variety. Your description is not totally clear, but it sounds like this bump is trying to drain on the skin side, which would make it an external chalazion. These do leave small skin scars when they drain which usually fade away to almost invisibility over time.

5609181 tn?1375332372 I'm so adduced to this show! And now that in having a little girl it makes me really think about putting a child through that. I would personally never do it with my child but I was wondering if anyone put ther little girls in pageants and what they thought? Or is anyone else just obsessed with this show?
Avatar m tn However, right now the most important thing is getting to the bottom of what is happening in these kids worlds right? You are a loving caring mom, and probably in shock right now. It is important though, to react and react appropriately. They are not going to just take your kids, but they will try to get to the bottom of what is happening. That is the most important thing.
Avatar n tn What age are the toddlers, it seems rather iunusual in a very small child I would look at what is happening in the childs life and who he or she is alone with, give more details for better answers.
Avatar f tn I wonder how life will be after having her baby brother . I am overly excited because, I will have a little helper in the house. But, I honestly am glad that I allowed my daughter to grow & be the baby before getting pregnant.
Avatar f tn My son (2 years old) had a head injury a month ago. He fell on his back and hit his head on a thick glass, that was on the floor (one can still see an arc on the back of his head). The glass didn't brake (thank God), it didn't even move, so i suppose that he landed exactly ON it! there was a lot of blood.
Avatar f tn m healthy and always on my feet with my two toddlers anyways.. Has anyone been thru this? Can some one give me some good advice.
Avatar f tn I had two babies each at 39 weeks with precipitous labor. I spoke to my dr about the fear of not getting to the hospital in time and getting an epidural especially since I have two toddlers at home and suggested it. once labor starts I have zero time to get to the hospital. I am already dilating and effaced at 36 weeks. Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this as induction isn't my ideal but having the baby in front of my toddlers would be worse lol.
Avatar n tn Hi.. actually my wife is 9 weeks n 3 days pregnant n today she had blood in vomiting.. is this common or anything serious.... Please suggest..
