1475202 tn?1536270977 Shouldn't I get a metal from the president or something? ha ha j/k Tell me, what does it mean to you and how do you celebrate besides going out and getting hammered? ha ha I remember when I first quit I use to think man, if I make it one year then i'm gonna go get hammered after a year. Then quit all over again. Now I think that would be just plain stupid to hurt my liver anymore. Quitting for me was easy, so I have no doubts I would and could do it again.
Avatar f tn I had my Gallbladder remove on April 24 2011. I had been having pain in the stomach area at least a year before. The surgeon said he did not find anything, so he checked my gallbladder and found stones. I expected to have pain from the surgery, but not experience pain all the time..I went to my doctor this week, and he said the pain could last up to a year or more. It hurts all the time, but if I eat any food or take any medication I can feel the pain as soon as I swallow.
Avatar n tn Thanks goodgardenpeas28, the only extent of professional treatment I've endured is a week in-patient hospitalization, and a few scatted appointments with group therapy and one on one sessions. Though they did deem some sort of help, I haven't been to anything of that caliber in about 9 months. Though since then, the frequency of my episodes has drastically declined. It used to be an everyday endeavor for me, now it's about one a twice a week, which is once or twice a week too much.
Avatar n tn Hello Doc, I get sometimes this feeling in my chest area that seems related with my heart but i don't know if it's a PVC or something else. The feeling is like gas or a that the muscle moved but i know that's not in the muscle. It seems that my heart beats fasten for like a second. I have a Holter last year and it turned out with 5 extra-systole, but in the day of the holter i didn't felt anything. I also did an EKG an Echo and a Stress Test and they all turn good.
Avatar f tn A year ago last month I started having headaches, first only a couple of times a week, then lasting for weeks at a time. These were severe, starting just where the neck meets the skull base, radiating to the front of the skull and have caused loss of urine and bowel control (mostly urine day to day), falling down and listing, esp to the left, and the pain in the neck is severe.
Avatar m tn It has a life span of a few minutes to a few hours. Vomiting and dizziness can be anything, including illness.
Avatar n tn He is now taking chemo treatments and radiation and after this next radiation treatment they are going to up the dose of chemo. He seems to be in good spirits and hasnt lost his appetite. He receives chemo treatments every tuesday and seems to feel great afterwards but towards the end of the week he seems to move a little slower. Does this mean that its working since he is feeling worse towards the end of the week? and what do you think his life expectancy is?

Avatar f tn They informed me it was a bowel infection. I have never been in so much pain in my life. A few weeks ago I was experiencing a lot of rumbling and discomfort, I had barely been eating, gagging but nothing would come up so I was admitted to the hospital. They thought my appendix was rupturing but they were unable to identify my appendix (?). They informed me that I had another bowel infection, they found some sort of mass on my kidney and discovered my bowels were twisted around my scar tissue.
Avatar n tn Having her gallbladder removed fixed about 75% of her extreme symptoms, of first feeling hot and flushed then came the vomiting. Based on her symptoms, I'd say her gallbladder has NEVER functioned properly. Even as a baby we were constantly changing formulas due to vomiting. They just don't usually think of it being the gallbladder in a child. Worth asking the doctor about and gettting tested for food allergies - and keep a diary of what foods preceded an event.
Avatar f tn He continued episodes through his life and is now free and clear of it as of the age of 20 . Now his girlfriend has it and has to drop out of college because of it.
479459 tn?1246742019 I overdosed on Vicodin and alcohol in January of this year, spent a week in the hospital and 28 days in inpatient treatment soon after. Ever since I've been actively working a 12-step program and trying to heal physically, mentally and spiritually. One thing that seems to just not go away is this constant state of exhaustion. I have never been like this in my life...I need naps constantly.
Avatar f tn Sickness generally occurs at night, he has bouts of severe vomiting even if there is nothing in his stomach. He looks very pale and needs loads of sleep, will sleep well into the afternoon if he can. Obviously losing weight, says he feels dizzy but no huge abdominal pain. We are really worried as the hospital seem as confused as we are. They prescribe medication to settle his stomach, it helps a bit but doesn't stop the problem.
Avatar f tn Now this week he has had exessive vomiting mostly flem but it has come and ago for most of his life now to where he has these vomiting episodes now my question for you moms is have any of you had an overly sick child or was there something more serious than just the common cold.
Avatar f tn My son is a year old. His father never wanted me to have him, & now is barely involved in my sons life. He only sees him when its convenient for him (which is rare) I've never heard him say he loves our son, doesn't even tell anyone about him, & doesn't try to see him on holidays or on his first bday!
676606 tn?1229937962 ll see that her symptoms fit the Common Variable Immune Deficiency Disorder which is caused by a deficiency in the IgA levels of her immune system. The other immune deficiency that could fit this could also be the deficiency of the IgG level, which is explained in that handbook as well. Anyway, I would definitely recommend having either an immunologist or an infectious disease doctor (if the pediatrician doesn't recommend doing it) take a look at her immunology profile. Best of luck!
Avatar m tn My 4 year old throws up when I leave her in the care of anyone. She throws up when its time to take a nap or when she comes home from school & I am not home. What or why can make her do this? I have to leave work sometimes because she is throwing up but when I get home she is fine. She has 2 older brothers & a younger sister.
Avatar n tn A bout an hour before bed have a drink or little snack something to make him sleepy not a sugar snack,If you have to lay with him , tell him upfront to look at the clock and you will lay there for 10mins then you are tired so you have to go to bed,If theres a Dad he can do the same, is Dad doing stuff with him Games and Guy things.I have heard of this before and had it in my life it does go away ,give him plenty of Love and extra time to get ready for sleep.
Avatar f tn The episodes tend to start at the same time of day, last the same length of time, and occur with the same symptoms and level of intensity. In children, it starts most often between the ages of 3 and 7. Rest and medications may help provide relief. Hope this helps. Take care and best regards.
Avatar n tn My 20 month old grandson has had vomiting for almost a week. He has had a history of reflux, but this past week he has had some projectile vomiting, no fever, and just can't keep anything down. What should we do? No fever, his pedi thinks it's a virus and lasts 7 to 10 days.
Avatar m tn Probably for about the past 2 years I have been experiencing nocturnal episodes of severe cold intolerance, nausea and vomiting, sweating and palpitations. I am a 49 year old female. I have not yet experienced any menstrual changes. I first thought I had a GI bug but it continued to occur every few months, very sporadically and the pattern was the same. It always lasts about 6 hours and stops as abruptly as it starts and it always occurs at night.
Avatar f tn Its hard and some times it only gets worse. I'm 28 weeks and just got over my nausea and vomiting not long ago, the loss of appetite is still there though. And now I'm experiencing other horrible things like my vajajay being swollen due to the baby sitting so low. Hang in there mommy. Ask your doctor to give you some thing for the vomiting and try eating small non heavy meals.
Avatar n tn Yes, you do have some of the characteristics of an eating disorder. But you also have some characteristics of other emotional problems in the difficulty you have coping with stress and life's ups and downs. Also, since you had some connected medical problems when you were little, that seems to play a part for you as well. What I disagree with is what your family is saying that you "just want attention" or "just don't know how to cope with things.
Avatar m tn He has been on phenobarb almost 2 weeks now. He had a lot of trouble getting around at first and has slowly gotten better in terms of strength and coordination but today has started having accidents in the house. He has pooped in the house 3 times today :( he had 3 seizures before being put on the Meds, we haven't done an MRI but fear it is a brain tumor. Would love to hear how hints went with your dog.

Avatar f tn I had a nasty flu over the weekend. Sore throat, fever for about 18 hours and vomiting all night. I tried to keep the fever down with tylenol, but it really didn't do much for me. I didn't have a thermometer but when my fever broke I was sweating profusely so I'm worried that maybe it was pretty high. I know it's not good to have a fever in the first trimester and now I'm a little nervous. Has anyone else been sick like this in the first trimester?
