Vomiting in first trimester

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting in first trimester

vomiting

Avatar f tn I had a nasty flu over the weekend. Sore throat, fever for about 18 hours and vomiting all night. I tried to keep the fever down with tylenol, but it really didn't do much for me. I didn't have a thermometer but when my fever broke I was sweating profusely so I'm worried that maybe it was pretty high. I know it's not good to have a fever in the first trimester and now I'm a little nervous. Has anyone else been sick like this in the first trimester?

Avatar f tn Last night though, I ended up throwing up for what was probably the first time in 2 weeks. Is it normal to still throw up after the first trimester? Besides sore breasts, my symptoms have mostly stopped, although I do get some cramps, but only when I'm laying down. I just want to make sure everything is still ok, most of what I've read has said that nausea usually goes away by the second trimester.
Avatar f tn thanks dear atleast I know that I am not alone...it is so strange because I wasnt sick at all in the first trimester and for this to be happening just alarmed me. Hormones that is the reason for everything...no contraction just this sudden sickness kylesmom-thanks for your response...I think I will just give the nurse a call tomorrow to just to see...I appreciate it. This is driving me crazy though...
Avatar f tn Yes in your third trimester your morning sickness can come back.
Avatar f tn 13 weeks is the beginning of your second trimester. Go speak with your doc because there are great meds for pregnant women for nausea and vomiting. Don't put yourself through misery when you have options!! I've had vomiting for weeks, got meds, worked like a charm!! and now that I'm in second trimester I've been able to go days wth no meds and no sickness!
Avatar f tn 30 this morning and threw up 5 times in the matter of 3 hours. Should I go to the hospital? Im a first timer and im a bit shaken up and worried.
Avatar f tn It is normal. I experienced that same thing in my first trimester. It can be low iron or low blood pressure. Just be careful moving around and especially driving. Take it easy and drink plenty of water. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I'm in the same boat mama. I pray that food stays when I eat.. If it comes up I have to wait at least an hour before I eat again.
Avatar f tn with all four of my pregnancies I list weight in the first trimester. My doctore said that if I gained no weight at all but the baby was healthy was all that mattered.
Avatar n tn I spent my whole first trimester in and out of the hospital and stuck in bed. I couldn't eat/drink and had to just have an IV. I lost my job. Second trimester will be much better for you. If you are having trouble managing your symptoms (like constant vomiting, fatigue, etc.) be sure to talk to your doctor about it. They can help.
Avatar n tn m just wondering the typical symptoms people get in the 1st trimester? What have you guys noticed, is there anything I should know?
377412 tn?1283809646 This is a post mainly for those in their first trimester to drop a line for the lovely ladies all on the verge of giving birth to answer. (Get ready 3rd trimester girls!!!) Does anyone have any unusual symptoms? I am a tearful nut bag the last 10 days or so and Im 10 wks. Ive cried over 2 really dumb dumb things. And while I usually keep my hubby in stiches laughing lately he stares at me like I am possessed (which I am by his child growing in my stretching womb).
Avatar f tn I am terribly sorry y'all are going through this ladies. I'm in my first trimester and I don't have any of that except really bad fatigue. Just remember this in the long run it'll be worth it when the baby comes.
Avatar f tn I'm just now getting morning sickness and I'm 34 almost 35 weeks lol it's bad..
1105389 tn?1258003525 my girlfriend has just passed the first trimester and has been vomiting some blood on 5 ocations what does this mean?
Avatar f tn So I did spend the 1st trimester being nauseous but it was never to the point of vomiting. Today, at 21 weeks, I was feeling dizzy, world spinning, and in the evening found myself throwing up in the bathroom. Is this normal? After vomiting my system felt relieved but here and there I still get dizzy spells. Any clues?
Avatar f tn Try sucking on mints or talking to your doctor about anti-nausea medication! It's normal to have sickness during your first trimester or so, so talk to your doctor.
Avatar f tn Did you lose weight because of nausea and vomiting? @Yessi808 Have you stopped vomiting? I'm so curious because I'll be in my second trimester in 2 weeks and I hope the vomiting will cease. I lost 7lbs already.
