Avatar n tn I will begin by admitting how terrified I am that I have a brain tumour! I have had a continuous dull headache for two weeks now and no amount of medication seems to shift it. It seems to be worse in the morning, and I have a really stiff neck. Its there all day and worse when I do exercise or bend over. Im also pretty sure my vision is getting worse, although I went to the opticians who seem to think my eye sight is virtually perfect.
Avatar n tn Most lesions that occupy space in brain like a tumor or clot or cancer cause severe headache or vomiting or dizziness. Depending on the site, they can cause either whole body or part of body to have loss of sensation or abnormal sensation or loss of movement etc. Paralysis is also a possibility.
Avatar f tn every time I would get to the point of falling asleep I would get a HORRIBLE brain electrocution. It would start in the ears then go all the way through the brain. It was like I was having electroshock treatments. It happened throughout the night at least 10 times. My mom took me to the emergency room and they gave me African. I slept a few hours after coming home and when woke I was getting the electrical(milder) shocks in the ears.

Avatar f tn From the past 2 years I had been suffering from headache which crops up suddenly but does not remain for long. The pain accelerates when I am studying but slowly decreases when i am not. I don't have any problem in watching TV or using computers. With the headache I often feel like vomiting (but not always). My eyelids often becomes swollen and starts paining after I wake up. I cannot find a solution to my problem and I had been running after doctors who come up with almost no solutions.

Avatar n tn Hello, In mild traumatic brain injuries, the patient often has headache, mental confusion, dizziness, blurred vision and fatigue and lethargy. In moderate to severe brain injuries, there is loss of consciousness, a severe, persistent, or worsening headache, repeated vomiting or nausea, seizures, dilatation of the pupils, slurred speech and weakness or numbness in the extremities.
Avatar m tn A macroadenoma is a large tumor which presents as headache, lethargy, nasal drainage, nausea and vomiting, problems with sense of smell, visual changes like double vision, drooping eye lids and visual field loss. Avatar f tn Initially they said no sports for 3 days but a week later he would come home from baseball crying about a headache and vomiting. I took him back and they said the initial diagnosis (in the ER) of a mild concussion was wrong and that it was more severe. He had to stop sports for two weeks. My symptoms after the accident lasted over two weeks. I had severe headaches and I felt "off." I had some trouble word finding, couldn't keep my train of thought, etc.
671285 tn?1292660161 I posted a similar question in the Neurology sight and I have yet to get a responese. I will keep my eye on your post. I had three MRI's and two CT's which brought back no resluts for brain tumors. I was told by one doctor that brain tumors do not hurt and another told me they can be bothersome. I have relatives on my both parents side who have passed on from brain tumors, one younger than me, so I also asked on my post is they are genetic.
Avatar n tn I suspected that I could be experiencing migraines, but when searching my symptoms on the internet (headache, blurred vision, vomiting) I found that my symptoms resulted in matches for brain aneurysm and stroke. Needless to say I am very worried and wonder if I should seek medical help at this point. Are there any doctors that could offer their expertise/advice?
1482898 tn?1295809886 Hi, Thanks for the update. Brain tumors usually present with pain that progressively worsens, projectile vomiting, possible visual disturbances speech or personality changes; problems with equilibrium, gait, or coordination; and seizures. It is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation and to ease any worries, Imaging studies such as CT scan or MRI will help rule this out. Take care always.
Avatar n tn I have a pretty good knot on my head still and know I had a concussion (dizziness, fatigue, nausea/vomiting and headache). Well.. today my head still hurts, but I am noticing pain in my ear as well still. That began last night. Since I do not have insurance, I am wondering if I should be concerned and seek treatment. Please advise!
Avatar m tn I show all but one sign of having brain swelling. I have: Headache; Neck pain or stiffness; Nausea or vomiting; Dizziness; Irregular breathing; Vision loss or changes; Memory loss; Inability to walk; Difficulty speaking; Stupor; Loss of consciousness. The only one I dont have is seizures and I hope I never do. This pain has been constant since I was 11 years old. I was hit by a car and got a concussion, broke my collar bone and bad road-rash.

Avatar f tn I've had a constant headache on the top of my head for 10 weeks now. I've tried all sorts of pain drugs and nothing has helped. I've had a CT, MRI, MRA, blood tests, hormone tests, 2 spinal taps, IV drugs.... and they found nothing. 4 weeks into the headache I was in the hospital for two days. While there i saw a neurologist. He said he didnt know what was wrong. The Psycologist said when he was working under a different doctor he saw him do a trick.
670780 tn?1225733635 I have had constant headaches for awhile now. Sometimes the pain is behind my left eye, sometimes behind my right eye. The pain moves to different parts of my head always feeling like "pressure" at that location. I started feeling dizzy yesterday and all of a sudden got nauseous and threw up. I have taken pain pills and it doesn't seem to make the headache go away. My vision has been going down for the last few months.
Avatar n tn As she is old chances of brain hemorrhage are high, MRI brain should be done. Features like vomiting, hypertension, low pulse, and headache are quite suggestive of brain pathology. Try drugs like ranitidine, omeprazole for gastritis related vomiting. What about history of hypertension and diabetes?
Avatar n tn myself a medical student was approached by my friend complaining of headache and vomiting. His mri is normal..opthalmologic studies were normal.. still he has severe headache and vomiting.. wat can be this suggesting. Avatar m tn your episodes brought three possibilities instantly to mind--1)migraine-which easily explains the headache and vomiting, but would fit the vibrating sensation better if that was only occurring on one side of your body. 2)chiari malformation type I is a birth defect in the region of the cerebellum and foramen magnum (the hole that the brain nerve tracts converge through to form the spinal cord) which typically is silent until middle age. a brain scan is needed to diagnose it.
Avatar f tn And how can it be considered not the cause of my headaches when the main symptom of these cyst is headache? My other symptoms are nausea, vomiting, double vision, loss of coordination during the intense headaches.
Avatar n tn Typical symptoms of an arachnoid cyst around the brain include headache, nausea and vomiting, seizures, hearing and visual disturbances, vertigo, and difficulties with balance and walking. The weakness of extremities could be due to pressure over the spinal cord.A MRI should be done to rule out the presence of another cyst in the spine.
