Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting every morning

vomiting

For years my husband has been getting up in the morning and vomiting profusely but the only thing that comes up is clear, white or somtimes yellowish liquid. After he goes through that his stomach knots up and he feels drained, weak and just generallly bad. He has had a colonoscopy, upper GI, X-ray, CT scan and ultra sound. They did find he had H.Pylori when they did the upper GI and treated him for that.
Hi there! I'm pregnant with my first and am 16w4d. I did not experience any morning sickness or really anything other than fatigue and being very thirsty until about a week ago. Now I find that some smells bother me and cause me gag and vomit. I get easily 'grossed out' and have thrown up twice in the past two days. I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through this?
Morning sickness. I had it until 20 weeks. I literally drank gaterade all day every day for the first half of my pregnancy.
I'm 9weeks pregnant and i don't know if its healthy or normal to be vomiting every morning when i try and brush my teeth and i vomit yellow since i don't have anything in my stomach?????????

Hello, about a week ago I was diagnosed with a sinus infection and they gave my medicine for it. I am feeling better, but every morning now I wake up and my stomach is upset. I eventually end up vomiting like 10-15 minutes later. Is that normal?
Oh okay. I was sick every morning for the first couple months. It went away and the last past couple days I've been getting sick. Ugh! And I'm so hungry!
Im 10 weeks 3 days ans vomiting like CRAZY! Im a FTM and had no idea pregnancy would be anything like this. Ive talked to my OB and feel like ahes brushing it off as common morning sickness. She finally prescribed 8mg of zofran every 12 hours. It wears off after 6. Anyone else dealing with all day sickness and extreme vomiting? PS I've tried everthing from crackers, lemons, ginger ale etc.
Does this happen multiple times a day, every day, for months or years? Post nasal drainage down the back of the throat can cause itching and coughing. In some people, the coughing leads to vomiting, though this is not a common problem.
My 5 year old daughter is also vomiting about every month for the past 5 or so months. It wakes her early in the morning and then will vomit one to three times and then is fine. She has a stomachache right before it, but no other recurring symptom consistently goes along with it. She has a congenital heart defect and the genetic condition called HHT. She has in the past had seizure looking episodes that have never been diagnosed as anything because she has had clean EEGs.

Our 8 year old son has been vomiting after every meal. This is not like vomiting with the flu-it just stays in his mouth until he gets to the toilet. We are not sure how long this has been going on because he hid it because he thought he would get in trouble or other kids would pick on him. When asked he said it has been happening for a long time. We noticed that he would go to the bathroom right after meals but thought it was due to IBS because his father has that.
I am a healthy 24 year old female but for about 2 months now I have been vomiting what I think is bright yellow bile every couple of days and am very nauseous for most of the day. I don't have insurance so I am trying to get some answers any way that I can. I know this is a very broad symptom, but it normally happens in the mornings and evenings. I am not pregnant and have been eating healthy. Any advice??

Now two years later this problem is still going on for me I have been to several doctors about it but their answers never seem to be right to me. Every couple weeks I vomit. Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day. It is very painful because the vomit is usually dry and I have to cough it out unless it is bile. My stomach will feel like it is on fire occasionally also. Sometimes there is bright red steaks but I am not sure if it is blood or not.
Besides vomiting, I also s*** my pants yesterday morning (thank G I was home alone). I feel much better today and I'm taking large doses of immodium... I'm just scared to leave my house incase it comes back. I just remembered that I have an anti-nausua medicine from when I got a concussion a few months ago. Its called reaglan (sp?) I believe. Is this similiar to Phenergan? Thank You to everyone who responded to my post. This forum has been SOOOooo helpful!
Ya learn something every day. I had no idea that frozen OJ was boiled to pasteurize and of course, if they do this, the enzymes would be destroyed. Thanks for that tip.!! Nurse told hubby to get drinking orange juice when his blood pressure goes down a little because the slight drop makes him feel dizzy. I bought the pure juice thank goodness. Hubby has one a Breville Juice maker which should arrive soon so will juice my own.

Every night when I go to sleep I feel fine, but every morning I wake up sick, feeling somewhat nauseas as if I'm toxic or have a hangover. It takes from 1-3 hours before the sickness dissipates and I feel good enough to go to work. If I get up with less than 5 hours of sleep then I'm okay (just tired). If I sleep for a total of 6 hours or more I get sick, even if I get up for an hour and then go back to sleep. My only other symptom is vivid nightmares. This has been going on for over a year.

This began again 2 weeks ago and I have lost 16 lbs with no appetite and inability to eat a whole meal.  I go to bed fearing that the cycle will return again every morning and sure enough it does.  I have considered going back on Lexapro or paxil so I can maybe eliminate the anxiety    It feels like I have awful epigastric pain that awakens me with the trembling usually around 3am.    Any suggestions?

I'm 11 weeks into my pregnancy what's good for morning sickness and for vomiting i cant seem to keep really anything down
So I am wondering if I am pregnant would my stomach be weaker in the morning if I drank the night before? Becuase I have been vomiting for a few days every morning. My friend thinks I am, but she says if I am not pregnant I might have an ulser. I dont have much pains except my back & having nausea & lower abdominal pains. I have been REALLY stressed out & depressed lately so that could be true too...but I think I would be experiencing the pain from it not just the nausea.
Abdominal symptoms can be hard to diagnose. When I was vomiting every morning, I put off going to the doctor for 6 months, thinking it was pancreatic cancer. Mine turned out to be from gallbladder stones. All I needed to get mine diagnosed was an abdominal ultrasound.
When I wake up for school and I brush my teeth and scrub my tongue (not too far back at all), I vomit for some reason. Then I still feel sick in my throat so would end up retching and vomiting a few more times until its all out. Then I suffer from a very sore throat for a few hours due to the acid. This has happened around 5 times in the last 2 weeks and every time it happens I get really worried as to why, and more importantly how to stop it because its really unpleasant.
and above average weight is also experiencing daily morning vomiting with occasionally vomiting after lunch or dinner. He has had a low grade fever. It all started about 3 weeks ago with a severe sore throat, headache and cold symptoms/seasonal allergies. I took him to the dr. thinking he had strep but he does not. Figured he had bug, but after 3 weeks, ultrasound, blood work, we went to the GI.
Since then, I've been vomiting every morning when I get up. The vomit seems as though it is slime, but pro-longed vomiting yiels a yellow fluid which I've been told is acid by my MD. I have yet to go for the camera swallow procedure, but I'm almost certain this is a case of stress. My work also puts a lot of strain on me, along with the post break up stress. Is there anything I can do about this besides going the camera way?
