vomiting

My 10yr grandaughter has been vomiting and has has 103.8 fever for 4 days. We have taken to the dr.and he says treat the fever with tylenol and motrin alternate every 3 hrs to no avail. So I gave her a cool bath and let her sit in it about 15 mins, seems to have brought fever down some about 100 now but she's still vomiting. She has been drinking gatorade but has only drank about 6 oz in 2 days . I'm afraid she's getting dehydrated, she complainig of headaches and won't eat.
I am supposed to start my period this coming weekend and this past Saturday I had some very light pink discharge. No pain or anything to make me thik it would be a bladder infection or a UTI. I also have had extremely sore breasts. The nipple doesn't hurt but right under it hurts really bad. My face is breaking out which is never a problem for me. I have had heavy discharge (clear, mucus-like) for the past 4 days.
My female cat has always had a very sensitive tummy- she has a tendency to vomit in the cat food bowl as she is eating and it's not as if she overeats- she is a muncher- lot's of little meals a day. I saw an ad for the Iams sensitive stomach (the pink bag) and she has been doing wonderful on it and refuses to eat the other dry food unless she has to. You might try that. Oh- doesn't grass make cat's vomit? At least that's what mine usually do- brats.
If his eyes are not white and his gums and inner ear are nto a healthy pink or off pink coloration and have a yellow coloration to them, then take them to the vet as soon as possible. Also, how are his poops and pee's? Are his poos a good normal consitstancy no diarreah? not grey or yellow? And are his pee's a good healthy yellow? If his urine is orange and cloudy/Dark orange, then he is becomming dehydrated which ties into the vomiting.
With the overpopulation we have in the world, it's best to get them fixed. She will be a happier cat too. She will be calmer. Just give her time to heal. I had a couple of cats fixed. Don't worry, she'll bounce back. Just remember, she just had surgery! If you just had surgery, you wouldn't want to play right away either! It's normal for them to not want to eat right away either. I know I didn't want to eat the day after I had surgery. I wouldn't worry about cleaning her right now either.
Once it was brought under control, they did CAT scans, x-rays and sonograms of my abdominal region. They checked everything! They found nothing. My appendix, galbladder, intestines and stomach appeared normal. They gave me two bags of iv antibiotics and lots of fluids via the iv. I just figured it was viral. The next day I checked out and went home having missed a day of work.
It may be an excellent back up plan for future vet bills for you, since you will eventually have to take your cat to the vet for vaccines, spay (if she is not already spayed), and emergencies. Pet insurance is also very helpful and an excellent tool in your veterinary arsenal. Pet insurance may seem costly when your pet is young but it will pay for itself as the cat becomes middle age or a senior citizen. ASPCA and VPI are two well known pet insurance companies among many out there.
My sister's cat Daisy is about 8 years old and she just got her rabies vaccination on 5/24/12 which was a thursday and has been throwing up a few times a day for almost a week so she decided to take her back to the vet to get a blood test done and keep her there for 3 nights to get her supervised. While there he gave her a Penicillin and Cerenia injection, anesthesia (isoflurane)- he said she was aggresive, he did a Complete blood test and a blood profile major.
The latter is common in males and can be fatal. Immediate veterinary care is critical. Vomiting - vomiting several times within the hour, especially if blood appears in the vomitus, the cat is lethargic, or refuses to eat. Possible causes include ingestion of a foreign object, liver and kidney disease, gastrointestinal problems, and poisoning. Diarrhea - diarrhea is a symptom of many conditions or diseases.
My female cat has started licking off her hair on her paws and legs and possibly is starting on her belly - they are long hair and it's kinda hard to tell until a definite bald patch appears. This has been happening since before Christmas. At first I thought it was due to the loss of her beloved "Cat tree" but I got her a replacement - although I'm not sure she likes it near as much.
They should be a healthy pink color, not a muddy brownish pink color. You also want to watch for him going through the motions of vomiting without producing any vomit. If you see him doing this, put him in the car and head for the nearest vet. If it's during the night, head for the emergency vet. This action could mean that he is bloating, and that because of the large amount of food in it, his stomach has flipped over on itself and has choked off the entrance and exit to the stomach.
The whole reason i was in the hospital was for lower abdominal pain, nasuea, and vomiting. They passed it off as possibly just passinh kidney stoneys but they werent sure of it. so now my nasuea is still continuing but the vomiting has stopped. I am currently 5days late for my period, and mine is pretty regular. i did however, have a little bit of spotting. Im talking about maybe 2 or 3 drops at the most and very light pink.
Just as an additional bit of info, Zylo is a predominately white cat with pink skin, so his skin around his eyes have always looked a bit pink. I didn't explain that very well in my first post, it isn't the eyes itself that are red, but the skin area immediately surrounding the eyes. It may be that his fur is thinning a bit so more of his skin in showing through in certain areas. I have been watching the lump closely ever since we noticed it several months ago.
Needless to say, we were freaked out. Oh and her eye was a little pink yesterday (thought it was pink eye) but not really today. Don't know if this matters but, during pregnancy she had a 2 vessel cord and was induced 2 weeks early due to Oligohydramnios. She weighed 6lbs 2oz. Other than this episode, she has been a healthy kid. They did a CAT scan and thankfully it came back normal. The Dr. thinks it may have been a seizure and we have to go to a neurologist and get an EEG.
The same day as the spaying she was given all her shots since I've never been able to get her into a cat carrier to take her to the vet. I'm worried that this experience has been so traumatic for her that her personality has changed. Is it normal for her to be acting this way?
, such as a snowing owl that hovered above my bed and had wings of a hummingbird, seeing my outside cat hanging onto a chandelier in the hallway, etc. These "seeings" only occured at night after taking the med. My MD cut the dose to 20mg which stopped the halucinations, but now I see splotches of color, only at night. The splotches are sometimes pink like raindrops, darker at the circumference and lighter in the center. I have also seen squares of bright yellow.
He is now having severe lower abdominal pain.Had cat scan which showed nothing wrong. Is anyone having this type of pain? His APN felt it was not due to meds.
a sudden onset of an episode of excruciating pain on right side of abdomen, accompanied by nausea and vomiting and bloody (pink) urine. Percodan + Zofran help. March 8: The severe pain disappears and has never come back. (thought I passed the kidney stone.) Internist finds blood in my urine (not visible to the naked eye). and I am almost always aware of it. They did a CAT-scan, which came back fine. The doctor said that it might be an irritated nerve? He put me on Vioxx. ALso put me on Clariton D for my red face. But it doesnt seem to be helping. (The Cat-scan also showed some "incidental sinuitis" around my cheek). I have been feeling weak..and have nausea..but never any vomiting. My temperature has been lower than I have ever had..and seems to keep getting lower!
The fur looks fine, no bare patches. No other allergy type symptoms like vomiting. The scratching seems due to increased flea activity biting them. What should I do? I thought this stuff would kick in and kill the fleas, not make them worse? I am flea bombing my house today in addition to the advantage.. Should I give them something else? Give it time?
Fortunately, God was on her side because she was smart enough to stop the Topamax and go to the emergency room before she developed an attack of acute narrow angle glaucoma (symptoms severe eye pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, almost complete vision loss.) Her ocular pressure was actually only slightly elevated and with cessation of the Topamax, her pressure returned to normal in a day, while it took over a week for her vison to return to normal.
The only dog we ever had contracted parvo virus and the vet had us spoon feeding him pepto bismol hourly. The pink mess was horrible to clean up. Thelma becomes quite the picky eater when she is here - will only consume canned lamb/rice, She stops eating until DH gives in and feeds her what she wants. She is one of 4 dogs in their house - his parents take the older two. We get Thelma, who still doesn't realize she is a dog.
My cat has been diagnosed with plasma cell pododermatitis by two vets. The first one wanted to put her on cortisone indefinitely, I didn't want her to have cortisone as the first option. The second recommended a 6 month course of antibiotics which helped but didn't completely get rid of the problem. After stopping the antibiotics the problem is slowly returning to it's previous state. Does anyone have information and treating this problem in cats? Anything helpful?
After things got more advanced, surgeons started working on alleged herniated discs and x-rays made things look suspicious. Then CAT and MRI scans showed up and they could look at all the arthritic bones of the spine better and it looked interesting. They could see bulges, arthritis, etc. and the "old idea of herniated discs" held on and so more surgery was done, again and again, but it is only rarely that people get better a short time after surgery.
However, she came down with the stomach flu in the middle of the 2nd grade, and she was out of school for around 11 days, vomiting every time she would move. Ever since then she has not been able to run with her friends for more than a few minutes, because she gets extremely tired quickly. She also has severe joint pain, especially in her knees. She also has said it feels like she can not get a deep breath.
other than that nothing major has happened... ah someone else is on the pink team.. ryjer or something...
I'm assuming it's a bite of sorts, but it could be an infected blister from friction, or even an infected sliver. Have you gotten scratched by a cat or any clawed animal? Does it hurt?
