The brighter red the blood is, the lower the bleed. If your were bleeding higher up, your stool would be very dark, black and/or tarry. Since you've been thoroughly checked out, I think the blood is coming from hemmorhoids. They tend to put blood "on" the stool, tissue or in the water. Having said this, I'm concerned that your GI hasn't explained all this to you, and I would opt for a second opinion anyway.

Small-bowel obstruction
Abdominal pain. Most small-bowel obstructions cause waves of cramping abdominal pain. The pain occurs around the belly button (periumbilical area ). If an obstruction goes on for a while, the pain may decrease because the bowel stops contracting. Continuous severe pain in one area can mean that the blockage has cut off the bowel's blood supply. This is called a bowel strangulation and requires emergency treatment.
Vomiting.
It's now 5 days since I've had loose stool with fresh blood. I have had some stomach pain but not a lot - I've had no vomiting or any headaches. I seem to have a good appetite, in fact at times I crave for food.
The blood looks very fresh and some of it comes out like tiny strips. Also with my stool I get some gelly-like stuff and at times it looks a bit reddish.
I am a bit fearful to go to see a Doctor so I thought I shall post my problem here first.
Did the vet perform a CPLI test to see if your dog had pancreatitis? The causes of vomiting and diarrhea can be many things, such ingestion of a foreign body, ingestion of something toxic, pancreatitis, gastroenteritis, parasites, organic causes and more.
Missy dog vomits when she eats or drinks. She can only keep down white rice and small amounts of water at a time. Her stool is normal and stomach isn't hard. I am concerned at she can't continue to just eat rice. I tried boiling hamburer and putting a little in the rice but she vomited that too.
If your stool is black the cause is other than internal hemorrhoids. If the black is due to blood, it's blood that's being put out somewhere just past the stomach. The 'red' will turn black as it travels through the digestive system. Make sure that the doc does further tests to find out why you're experiencing black stools. Work with a doc, not the ER. The ER isn't going to do much except to tell you to see your doctor.
I am passing solid stools now, there is no blood that I can see IN my stools, however, there is blood on the tissue after I pass the stool, not coming from my butthole or my vagina, clearly coming out as blood fluid from my rectum. I just got off antibiotics for a bacterial infection in my vagina, and I was not taking those properly, is it possible my infection could have spread to my rectum or colon area? Is it possible my new birth control could be a cause?
I have stopped taking it 2 weeks ago, when I started noticing mucus and blood in my stoll.(Blood in stool is one of Chamix sidefects) Last week I went to see my doctor and he told me that it is not hemarroids, but I need to do some tests. He wanted me to do occult blood test and barium enema. I'm not sure if I want to do barium enema as my husband and I are trying to have a baby. I'm afraid that radiation from barium enema could harm the fetus. Otherwise, I feel good.
The past 6 months in every bowel movement I have had bright red blood clots on my stool. The past 2 years I have had jelly like material on every bowl movement. Sometimes the jelly mucus is blood streaked. There is no blood on the toilet paper and the water is never bloody. It is not painful when I go, no rectal pain or anything. My stool is normal otherwise, no diarrhea, its soft normal consistancy. No constipation.
Is your urine dark? Does your skin itch? Do the whites of your eyes look yellow? Clay-colored stool can point to serious liver damage. If the liver can not remove bilirubin from the blood and produce bile, stool becomes "whitish". Nausea and vomiting can also indicate that your liver doesn't work well.
Considering your long history of hepatitis C, you need to see the doctor soon, check these symptoms out, and get labs and some imaging tests done. Do not put this off.

Her pediatrician thinks it will get better. Finally they took stool, blood and urine samples. Her blood was normal, urine showed dehydration and ketosis, no salmonella in stool, but waiting for parasite results. All blood tests come back normal (white counts, amylase, liver panel, metabolic panel, etc), upper GI showed no abnormalities. X-rays show she has some stool but not enough to cause this vomiting. Her blood pressure is now beginning to fluctuate to higher levels (from 90/70 -130/125) and her pulse becomes tachycardic during a vomiting episode (not before) to 220bpm. She tends to vomit more if moved. She is not tolerating full feeds and is beginning to lose weight. We are desperate for ideas.
Poor kitty. I hope the vet figured out what was wrong. It's obvious to me that the surgery is the cause of the blood in her stool and the vomiting. I'd ask them if it's possible that they accidentally cut the colon during the spay.

I have a 4 month old min pin and he got his shots the other day 2 days ago and all the sudden he has blood in his stool and its not normal poop. This started today and now he ate and he has puked 4 times in the last hour. He sits there and whines and then pukes. The puke was food but now its froth... its gross... any ideas?
