vomiting

10286987 tn?1410261849 It sounds like bacterial or viral food poisoning. Did you eat out before this happened? Or, did you have a pot luck or have food that was left out? Can you drink fluids? You can get very dehydrated with that much diarrhea and the vomiting. If you can take sips of water try to keep it down. If you are having frequent diarrhea and a fever you should see you doctor. They may need to get a stool culture on you to see if it is bacterial.
Avatar f tn Its not the TSH that really gives a good indication of your thyroid levels. You need the FREE T# and FREE T4 done to get an accurate reading of your levels. Also ask your Doc to check for antibodies ..both Hashi and Graves disease.
Avatar f tn For the past week I've been having vomiting spells after I've ate. It's like my body's saying it doesn't belong here, throw it up. It has happened to me 3 times, with different food. The first time I smelled some soap and vomited. About 5 days later I eating a big mac, and when I was about to finish it, I had to fight not to vomit, seeing how I was driving. Then today it happened too, when I was putting my clothes n the washer.
907672 tn?1381025723 My 13 yr old son has been home sick all week with flu like symptoms (Fever, vomitting, sore throat, headache and chills). We took him to his pediatrician and he said it was probably a virus that he would just have to live through although he prescribed antibiotics just in case he didn't get well by the end of the week. This alone doesn't really worry me however he has been sick A LOT off and on over the last 6 months with very similar symptoms each time.
Avatar f tn Ketones are a byproduct from the use of fat as fuel. Fat breakdown increases as less glucose becomes available due to a lack of insulin. When someone's urine or blood shows large amounts of ketones, this can lead to Diabetic Ketoacidosis or DKA. This is a life-threatening emergency which occurs when blood sugars have been consistenly over 300.
Avatar f tn t want to take the time to go for the tests (I had the exact same symptoms (I can sympathize with your pain)). It took intolerable pain and severe flu-like symptoms (back pain, abdominal pain that traveled down my right leg, nausea, vomiting, severe headache, high fever) to finally get me to go to the hospital. They found the 100% blockage in my right ureter via CT Scan with contrast. Did you ever suggest this test to your doctor?
Avatar f tn if you feel like you are coming down with the flu i ould deff go to the doctor..
Avatar f tn Weird cause everything ive read says it may cause vomiting/diarrhea along with all that other stuff. Yeah I got it at my ob's office. But I will call my doc tomorrow if it doesnt get any better!
Avatar f tn If the nausea and vomiting continue and you can't hold anything down than I would go to the er. You don't want to become dehydrated. They can give you iv fluids and medicine to stop the vomiting.
1844410 tn?1322749080 Have any of you heard of other pregnant women who have come down with something and gone in to have a blood test to rule out lysteria? From what I googled today, that seems to be the recommendation. But I have not known anyone who has done this? On the other hand, I guess I never knew any pregnant ladies with the flu either. I will probably call the doc tomorrow to ask, but anyone have any insight?
Avatar f tn Hello, I have a question that I THINK I know the answer to but I want to see if what has happened to me is common. I had a flu shot for the last time 12 years ago. I am a type I diabetic (since I was a child, diagnosed 33 years ago), under tight control, and work in an ambulatory surgery center so it was HIGHLY recommended. I had the shot and the next day experienced projectile vomiting immediately after eating breakfast.
Avatar m tn It felt like something was extremely wrong with me. However I did not experience vomiting, diarhea, fever, cough, night sweat (I slept fine), any sharp pains (just dull soreness in back and legs). The part that scared me is that I never felt like this before it wasn't a regular stomach flu where you throw up for 2 days and feel sick in stomach. It was just complete uneasy feeling, and no apetite, and sore muscles.
Avatar f tn So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!
Avatar n tn my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.
942557 tn?1272694819 If he having problems breathing and vomiting do not wait. Take him immediately to the emergency since this flu is very dangerous for the little ones. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
Avatar n tn If it's just diarrhea with vomiting and nothing else, I would have him see his doctor to be on the safe side. We're at that age when things start to go south and we need to stay one step ahead of it all. I once got the flu back to back, but with other symtoms. Did he start getting his colonoscopies at 50, this is imperative. It's harder to stay hydrated when you are going at both ends, which in itself is dangerous.
11587059 tn?1427628263 Has anyone else gotten it? Fever, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, and the chills. How long did it last? I feel like death. Not to mention I'm in preterm labor so I think it may be making it worse!
Avatar n tn Is he vomiting and have diarreha?Make sure he is hydrated with pedialite and continue to breast feed you perhaps can leave any solid food till the symptoms cease.
