It sounds like bacterial or viral food poisoning. Did you eat out before this happened? Or, did you have a pot luck or have food that was left out? Can you drink fluids? You can get very dehydrated with that much diarrhea and the vomiting. If you can take sips of water try to keep it down. If you are having frequent diarrhea and a fever you should see you doctor. They may need to get a stool culture on you to see if it is bacterial.

For the past week I've been having vomiting spells after I've ate. It's like my body's saying it doesn't belong here, throw it up. It has happened to me 3 times, with different food. The first time I smelled some soap and vomited. About 5 days later I eating a big mac, and when I was about to finish it, I had to fight not to vomit, seeing how I was driving. If the nausea and vomiting continue and you can't hold anything down than I would go to the er. You don't want to become dehydrated. They can give you iv fluids and medicine to stop the vomiting.

Have any of you heard of other pregnant women who have come down with something and gone in to have a blood test to rule out lysteria? From what I googled today, that seems to be the recommendation. But I have not known anyone who has done this? On the other hand, I guess I never knew any pregnant ladies with the flu either. I will probably call the doc tomorrow to ask, but anyone have any insight?

Hello, I have a question that I THINK I know the answer to but I want to see if what has happened to me is common. I had a flu shot for the last time 12 years ago. I am a type I diabetic (since I was a child, diagnosed 33 years ago), under tight control, and work in an ambulatory surgery center so it was HIGHLY recommended. I had the shot and the next day experienced projectile vomiting immediately after eating breakfast.

It felt like something was extremely wrong with me. However I did not experience vomiting, diarhea, fever, cough, night sweat (I slept fine), any sharp pains (just dull soreness in back and legs). The part that scared me is that I never felt like this before it wasn't a regular stomach flu where you throw up for 2 days and feel sick in stomach. It was just complete uneasy feeling, and no apetite, and sore muscles.

So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!

my vomit was first yellow, then turned yellow-reddish and at the end was a small amount of bright red blood. Is there something wrong with me or was this related to the drinking.

If it's just diarrhea with vomiting and nothing else, I would have him see his doctor to be on the safe side. We're at that age when things start to go south and we need to stay one step ahead of it all. I once got the flu back to back, but with other symtoms. Did he start getting his colonoscopies at 50, this is imperative. It's harder to stay hydrated when you are going at both ends, which in itself is dangerous.

Is he vomiting and have diarreha?Make sure he is hydrated with pedialite and continue to breast feed you perhaps can leave any solid food till the symptoms cease.
