Avatar f tn Don't waste time, go to your doc now! Or look up your neighborhood for the nearest free clinic and set up an appointment asap! (posting about this on the forum was like me posting about shingles on above my hip) No one could guess that because my age. (shocker it can occur in young adults too), and nobdy could make it go away either. I had to wait for 4+ hours at a free clinic but it was worth getting the right meds.
Avatar f tn If you're vomiting up blood on any occasion, run not walk to your doctor or nearest health clinic. This may be an emergency! (or at least a sign of cancer) Vomiting blood on any occasion is a serious concern (especially with the variables you express). There should be free services available for your area to check out. Here's some things to look up: http://www.mayoclinic.
Avatar f tn I just wanted to have an expert advice that one time blood while vomiting is a symptom of Cirhosis or any other severe disease. Or i am going through any serious illness or something else is happened to me. In morning as well as in evening a pale yellow stool with some redishness is been passed in liquid state. As i am very much worried and panaroid about this so would be looking out for the experts advice on my case that would could have resulted me to puke blood while vomitting.
Avatar f tn So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!
1105389 tn?1258003525 my girlfriend has just passed the first trimester and has been vomiting some blood on 5 ocations what does this mean?
Avatar n tn I would stop shoving your fingers down your throat. Hopefully the blood is just from that or as you said a popped blood vessel.
Avatar m tn The ER MD can evaluate her and draw some blood work to determine what is wrong and what the best treatment should be. After she is stabilized, then she does need an oral med like Zofran to keep her from getting nauseated. (I take 8 mg Zofran every 8 hours.) The other factor is that if she cannot keep anything down, she may also be vomiting her meds and an interuption of these meds is not a good thing if one wants to attain SVR. If I was you I would take her to the emergency room now.
1289093 tn?1309361078 For years my husband has been getting up in the morning and vomiting profusely but the only thing that comes up is clear, white or somtimes yellowish liquid. After he goes through that his stomach knots up and he feels drained, weak and just generallly bad. He has had a colonoscopy, upper GI, X-ray, CT scan and ultra sound. They did find he had H.Pylori when they did the upper GI and treated him for that.
Avatar f tn He needs complete evaluation and investigations like complete blood count, blood chemistries, blood clotting tests, and liver function tests. Other tests like esophagogastroduodenoscopy may help. Treatment involves treating the cause and symptomatic treatment. I hope it helps. Best of luck and regards!

1722607 tn?1335747858 I wanted to know the names of different medications that might be prescribed during treatment. Names of rescue drugs, anti nausea drugs, or any others that may be given during treatment. I want to look them up thru my insurance to see how much they will cost me if needed. Just trying to budget how much treatment could end up costing.

Avatar n tn My wife has breast cancer and is currently undergoing the TAC (Taxotere, Adriamycin, Cytoxan) treatment once every 3 weeks for 6 cycles. She just had her 2nd treatment last Friday. The day after the chemo treatment (monday) she receives a shot of Nuelasta that works to boost the white blood cell count during the next 7-10 days of chemo when chemo patients are at their lowest white blood cell count. The major side effect of Nuelasta thus far has been soreness in the bones.
Avatar m tn Six days ago I suffered a severe case of diarrhea with blood and spent two days in the hospital. It came on out of nowhere and was not accompanied by vomiting. They performed a CT which showed diverticular disease and inflammation of the colon. They treated with Cipro and Flagyl and I am still taking the Flagyl. I am still experiencing a burning sensation in my colon and dark (purple) sticky stools but no diarrhea. I have a follow-up with my internist on Tuesday.
Avatar m tn 1. anti-emetics (anti-nausea medication) such as Reglan, Cerenia, or equivalent; 2. appetite stimulants, such as Mirtazapine (Remeron), Cyproheptadine (Periactin), or equivalent; 3. steroids either given orally or by injection and IV fluid therapy; 4. antiparasitics and antibiotics should also be given, including Metronidazole or others. If your dog does not improve he may sadly have something very difficult or impossible to cure such as cancer.
Avatar m tn Give your vet a call for advice. I applaud you for rescuing your little guy, but if you can't afford medical care for him, you'll need to try to find him another home. I hate saying that, but providing care is a necessary responsibility of pet ownership. Here is some info I found on another site: What to Watch For Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, loss of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, melena (black, tarry stools), abdominal pain and ulceration of the stomach.
Avatar f tn Treatment with Avastin can result in the development of a potentially serious side effect called GI perforation. In clinical trials, these events occurred throughout the course of treatment and in some cases resulted in fatality. Avastin therapy should be permanently stopped in people with GI perforation. Wound healing complication: Treatment with Avastin can lead to slow or incomplete wound healing (for example, when a surgical incision has trouble healing or staying closed).
Avatar n tn A little over two years ago on new years eve i woke up feeling very nauseus as I stood up the feeling intensified, I ran to the bathroom and vomited. Now two years later this problem is still going on for me I have been to several doctors about it but their answers never seem to be right to me. Every couple weeks I vomit. Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day.
Avatar f tn Vomiting blood is never good. Pregnant or not. I'd call your doctor or go to the ER if I were you.
