Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting blood gas

vomiting

Avatar f tn The past 2 years I have had jelly like material on every bowl movement. Sometimes the jelly mucus is blood streaked. There is no blood on the toilet paper and the water is never bloody. It is not painful when I go, no rectal pain or anything. My stool is normal otherwise, no diarrhea, its soft normal consistancy. No constipation. About 6 months ago I did have horrible stomach cramping for about 48 hours.
Avatar n tn If you're vomiting blood, you need to be seen by a good GI doc and have some testing done. The reason for the presence of blood needs to be investigated.
Avatar f tn And when I was a kid I automatically related this with getting sick because soon after the burps came the farts and then the diarrhea... Sometimes vomiting. And if it came to vomiting most times I would feel better after vomiting once. Now that I'm older I know what symptoms of heartburn AND acid reflux can be and have been able to combat those times with tums or something. But that doesn't always help.
Avatar n tn It is this gas to be solved. Gas is produced by bacteria, probably from Helycobacter pylori in the stomach. Blood or breath test is for diagnosis. Treatment is with antibiotics. If the bloating occurs deeper down in abdomen (in intestine), this is again from bacteria (from harmless, but overgrown bacteria). Diagnosis and treatment are the same as above. The cause may be this artificial food itself.

Avatar f tn I am 29 year old male. I have a problem of frequent bloating. I spend lot of time to clear my bowel. I don't feel constipated but I feel as if gas is causing obstruction. When gas is out the motion is good and in sometime it stops and I need to wait for another pocket of gas to be out. This way I need to spend a lot of time to clear my bowel. In some days when am unable to clear my bowel completely i feel bloated and uncomfortable with flatulence.
Avatar m tn The next day I felt weak, but slowly recovered through the day. I had quite a bit of gas, mostly very foul smelling flatulence, but no diarrhea or vomiting. The following day I felt better and ate normal again. I passed stool twice, both times it was soft and very green in color. That night I went through the same series of events, only without vomiting. My stomach got uncomfortable and I had bad gas. I then had awful diarrhea several times through the night.
Avatar f tn So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!
Avatar f tn If you're vomiting up blood on any occasion, run not walk to your doctor or nearest health clinic. This may be an emergency! (or at least a sign of cancer) Vomiting blood on any occasion is a serious concern (especially with the variables you express). There should be free services available for your area to check out. Avatar n tn I would stop shoving your fingers down your throat. Hopefully the blood is just from that or as you said a popped blood vessel.
Avatar f tn When your pregnant your muscles relax internally also. It allows extra things to pass through that you could normally hold. That's why vomiting and gas is so easy. Not stress we are all doing it. Diet can help but your still going to have a tendency to.
Avatar n tn Is the pain relieved with lying down? Have you tried a gas reliever like Gas-Ex or Phazyme (simethicone)? Have you had normal bowel movements? Is there blood in your stool? Is it an odd color? Do you have diarrhea? Are you vomiting? Have an elevated temperature?
Avatar f tn I had intestenal surgery 5 years ago for divertculitis, diverticuloses and absesses. I had a colostomy bag for 8 weeks. Ever since I've experienced chronic diarrhea and vomiting. I have had 2 colonoscopy's and 2 endoscpy's along with cat-scans(5) along with countless blood test and ultra sounds. I was told they didn't know what was wrong with me.
Avatar n tn A little over two years ago on new years eve i woke up feeling very nauseus as I stood up the feeling intensified, I ran to the bathroom and vomited. Now two years later this problem is still going on for me I have been to several doctors about it but their answers never seem to be right to me. Every couple weeks I vomit. Its usually in the morning right after waking up but occasionally last all day.

Avatar m tn I realize that abdominal bloating and gas are very common complaints. But am very concerned, somewhat anxious and getting depressed, so am seeking any guidance or information that anyone in this forum has to offer. Developed abdominal bloating, gas, and burning sensation in the navel area about 3.5 weeks ago. No nausea, fever, vomiting, but constipation. Went to ER a few days later. Abdominal and chest xrays, urinalysis, blood work, abdominal ultrasound were all normal at that time.
