So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?

I would stop shoving your fingers down your throat. Hopefully the blood is just from that or as you said a popped blood vessel.

If it both eyes at the same time it might be more likely to be related to trauma, severe coughing or vomiting, blood disorders that make the blood too thim, bleeding in the orbits, or blood way too think from warfarin or thinning medications.

i've never heard of that before... the only thing i can think of would be the pressure from the force of vomiting or blood rushing to your face (but i wouldn't think that would last that long or be that bad) or an allergic reaction to the chips you were eating.

Have you had your eyes checked? Have you checked to see if it is one eye that is effected and not both? (Cover one eye-make sure you are not pressing on the surface of the eye, then switch to the other) I'm asking this, because sometimes only one eye is having the symptom, but a person feels like it is both eyes until they isolate each eye and test. It is possible that the inside of the eye may have experienced some trauma during hard vomiting.

These are most likely burst blood vessels. It is not uncommon for this to happen after vomiting, as the pressure causes tiny blood vessels to burst. This should not be a serious issue and should go away in a day or so.

I am now beginning to worry. The GP has scheduled her for blood tests. Her eyes are often irritated and again the doctor can find no reasons for this. Vomiting blood is never good. Pregnant or not. I'd call your doctor or go to the ER if I were you.

I just wanted to have an expert advice that one time blood while vomiting is a symptom of Cirhosis or any other severe disease.
