Vomiting blood back pain

Common Questions and Answers about Vomiting blood back pain

vomiting

The pain may vary in intensity. Severe, constant pain may mean that your intestine's blood supply has been cut off or that you have a hole in your intestine. This is a medical emergency. Call your doctor immediately. Bloating. Generalized abdominal bloating usually occurs around the belly button and in the pelvic area . Diarrhea or constipation. Either of these symptoms may occur, depending on how complete the obstruction is. Your stools may be thin. Vomiting.
Cholecystitis usually presents with extreme discomfort and/or pain, but it very well may not be causing pain. Bile backing up into your liver and getting dispersed through your blood (way oversimplification, but you get the idea) can cause a funky tint to your skin. Also, if your stomach is not producing intrinsic factor, your body cannot absorb vitamin b. Which in turn can lead to a vitamin deficiency. Please make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
But now makes 3 times that I have started vomiting and not been able to stop. To the point of vomiting up stomach acid. One of those times I popped a blood vessel (capillary I guess) and was vomitng blood. This week has been 2 different times already. Of course we all know what wretching does to your head. The more you vomit the worse your head hurts. It just starts a vicious cycle of pain. Wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this.

For the past couple of years she has been having severe naseua, vomiting, and back pain. The episodes have been much more frequent lately. She was hospitalized on and off for six weeks. Her doctors are unable to help her. During these episodes IV therapy is the only thing that can help. She is down to skin and bones because most days she cannot eat or hold food down.
I've also passed out on one occasion which I think was from vomiting so much and being dehydrated. The pain is located on my right side below my rib cage and is sharp. It also feels like it radiates up my arm on my shoulder and back. The doctors have done an endoscopy showing only mild stomach irritation (I'm assuming from the non stop vomiting), a ct scan, an ultrasound, an X-ray, and a hida scan which all came back normal.
3 out of the last 4 nights, I have woken up in the middle of the night to EXTREME abdominal pain which lasted about an hour each time, followed by sweating, vomiting (including blood), and sharp pain in the neck. The pain was mostly in my upper abdominal area. I don't know what to make of it. I have never had this happen before. I find that in the last few weeks I have a loss of appetite, and when I do eat, it's about half the portion I normally eat. So any opinions as to what this could be?
- I assume they've already done alergy tests. If there is blood in the stool, she has low left abd. pain, and is not bloated, then she just have to think from ischemic colitis on. So, arteriography in this case.
Some of the other symptoms that I experience frequently are severe headaches, leg pain, mood swings, abdominal cramping/pain, restlessness/anxiety, pain in lower right side of abdomen...... after doing some research, I feel that some of my symptoms are similar to porphyria....I dread calling my doctor to find anything out about this, because he thinks I am perfectly fine, and that this is all in my head.....when I am positive that it is not! Is porphyria a possibility???
My son is 23 years old and has been dealing with severe abdominal pain and vomiting attacks for about four years. It starts when he gets up in the morning. His abdomen will start to hurt and sometimes it will stop. When he has a bad attack the back of his neck starts to hurt and he starts vomiting for hours. His abdomen pain will ease a little after he vomits but not for long. After about 24 hours of this he the pain and vomiting will stop.
I just now started taking pain pills again for back problems and my stomach is hurting and having black stools. Also do pain pills make you gain weight? Thank you for any of your own stories that might help.
I went to the dr the next day and they tried to draw blood but being dehydrated they were not able to get as much as they wanted to. I have not heard back from the labs as of yet. I am still feeling extremely weak and tired...have no appetite at all. with continued cramps and diarrhea.
Every test has come back negative. Her symptoms are chest pain, dizziness, occassional fainting spells, headache, abdominal pain, and of course constant vomiting. Doctors have no idea what is wrong with my daughter, and have discharged her although her symptoms are still as bad as ever. It is only 1 p.m. here, and she has already vomited 23 times. She has had no change in lifestyle , or any recent trauma, under no stress...
24 hours later, the anti-nausea medicine wore off and she was just back to throwing up. Took her back to the vet where she was checked for parasites (tested negative) and given more anti-nausea medicine as well as some prescription food that would be lighter on her stomach. Now on the new food, she's a bit better, but even with that, after she eats, she curls up and looks like she's in pain for about 10-20 minutes before going back to acting normal. And she still vomits.
Yes there are common areas in the back and neck which can cause pain, but I am not sure if they would induce vomiting. Do I think it's a bug, well, your blood test did reveal an elevated white cell count which certainly would suggest an infection of some kind. Most stomach bugs are short lived, and so if you still have the problem after 7 days I would ask your Doctor to perhaps consider further testing, but I personally don't believe it is your Heart.
Hi im 15, for the past 3 months i have been suffering from persistant vomiting after eating a meal and sometimes even a drink or small snack. It is very sudden and i get very dizzy and quite bad headaches a sore throat and stomach ache and the vomiting is quite violent. And i have lost quite a bit in weight. There is nothing to prevent me from being sick and i cannot keep any food down.
Keep him hydrated. Use an eye dropper or syringe and provide water. Vomiting causes dehydration which can lead to horrible consequences. I'd quit Fancy Feast for good and switch him to other foods. Try Wellness or Natural Balance, see what happens. These foods are grain free, which could be what's causing your cat to vomit. Could be.. Good Luck!

Within an hour of vomiting I was on the floor with excrusiating pain in my stomach and still vomiting although it was way more extreme. So extreme that I broke a blood vessel in my eye. This was 3 months ago. Since then I have had constant pain in my stomach and asophagus. I have been to the emergency room 3 times. Prescribed Prevacid, Nexium, and something for nausea as the doc thought it was GERD or severe acid reflux.. Nothing helps. I had a blood test for H.Pylori and it came back negative.
constant abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, not to mention this fever. It feels like this is draining the life out of me. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
This morning I woke up with horrible belly pain, from the rib cage down to the pelvis and around to the back on both sides. I began vomiting and couldn't stop, took a Zofran and that helped. I also broke out in a cold sweat. I called my oncologist and the oncology nurse spoke with him, he said it may be a virus, but didn't sound cancer related, my scan last month was clear. He said I should call my internist to be checked out. I have an appointment for Thurs.
16 months ago I went to the emergency room due to severe abdominal pain and vomiting, and several days ago, out of the blue and to my horror, it happened again. Both times it was sudden, beginning with something like heartburn and gas pains, then very rapidly becoming so extreme, extending from my chest to my pelvic region, that I could barely withstand the pain...truly just short of making me lose consciousness.
Sun a.m., March 8th I gave Sheba pres. meds(2 Benadryls & 1 Vitamin E UI200), but she threw up & refused to eat. She'd been on D/D Science dog food since Dec & taking Pilocarpine Hydrochloride 2% in her food twice a day. Mon. Sheba’s white blood cell count was 60,000, she had mild dehydration & huge infection. temp was 103.5. All organs appeared to be okay from X-Rays, & she was given anti-biotics intravenously.
