Avatar f tn So each time the urine tries to pass through the obstruction it causes severe pain. It can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, sweating and sometimes blood in the urine.
Avatar n tn The first time she was given herceptin and vinorelbine she experienced severe back pain and was given a concoction of very strong pain killers. Ever since that treatment she has been having lower back pains. She is currently not on any continuous medication except for the chemotherapy drugs and the occasional pain killer. Currently she also has 2 ureteral stents in place for slight hydronephrosis. However the urine did not contain any traces of blood or wbc.

Avatar m tn The following maybe of help to you ladies. Small-bowel obstruction Abdominal pain. Most small-bowel obstructions cause waves of cramping abdominal pain. The pain occurs around the belly button (periumbilical area ). If an obstruction goes on for a while, the pain may decrease because the bowel stops contracting. Continuous severe pain in one area can mean that the blockage has cut off the bowel's blood supply. This is called a bowel strangulation and requires emergency treatment. Vomiting.
Avatar f tn However I did not have severe stomach pain other than what one would associate with vomiting. The low back pain was extreme and as you describe like labor. There is also esophageal spasms that can cause the extreme epigastric pain (like labor also) and vomiting. Normally one does not have back pain but everyone is different. The important thing to do in my opinion is see you physician and discuss this with him/her. This can best be diagnosed when it occurs.
Avatar n tn It sounds a bit like the gallbladder pain I had. I had no appetite, nausea and vomiting. I had more pain in the back than the front, and I found a little relief by leaning my back against a wall. I was doubled over in pain at times when I was having an actual gallbladder attack after eating two bites of cheesecake at a party. The attack pain lasted 30 hours, but by that time I had already had the gallstones seen on an ultrasound.
Avatar f tn About 6 years ago I started to have on and off back/side pain. I went to several doctors all who told me everything was fine. I kept hounding a dr. telling them I was in pain and that everything was not fine - they finally did a laproscopty and said I had endometriosis but it was so slight that it shouldn't be causing me pain. For some reason the pain did pretty much disappear for about 4 years and has reappeared in the past 2 years. Last year I went to dr. after dr.

Avatar n tn Tests were run, blood-urine-EKG. Everything appears normal. He has back compression issues from being in military and wearing heavy equipment. No one seems to feel there is a concern, tests come back ok, but he continues to feel "off". What are we missing?
Avatar n tn This has got me going crazy. I returned from a vaction on the 1st of June with a horrible stomach ache that lasted for a week, once that got better, the head aches started. It's a dull, constant throbbing pain I can basically feel all over but the most "pain" is a the top back of my head ... sometimes I can feel it in my temples. I went to the ER and got a CT Scan (negative) and blood work (negative) ... and they kinda went away after that.
Avatar n tn my daughter had this and was vomiting blood and it turned out to be her galbladder, so you never can tell. But leaving these things for later can sometimes cause some severe damage. I wish you and your daughter lots of luck. Keep us posted!
Avatar f tn But I am worried about the blood, and am in fear my symptoms will come back as I have no answers to what is wrong! No anal pain either. Any help please!
Avatar f tn You need to get that checked out...not a good sign to be vomiting blood...alcoholics are prone to intestinal bleeds...go have it checked out....and I guess you already know drinking aggravates this condition..
Avatar f tn So I'll be 38 wks tomorrow. I luckily somehow made it up to this point in my pregnancy without morning sickness or anything. Today I woke up with a terrible stomach ache. I started to vomit around 3 pm and it was full of blood. I can taste blood in my mouth. The stomach ache hasn't subsided but hasn't gotten worse either. Is this ob related or more medical? Should I go to the hospital? Has anyone else experienced this?
Avatar f tn ve heard of girls having this happen and being fine, but it is always better to make sure with this. Coughing up blood can be a sign of a blood clot in the lung or something serious like that. Tell them everything. Stay calm and good luck!

Avatar n tn I would stop shoving your fingers down your throat. Hopefully the blood is just from that or as you said a popped blood vessel.
