Please, if anyone think I should go to the ER, let me know.
Avatar f tn I have very little appetite and when I do eat I am in pain and vomiting. I was admitted on New Years eve for sever pain and vomiting. They did a colonoscopy and the results were normal, I was released and told that I need to stopcoming to the hospital for my pain by the GI dr.
Avatar f tn Hello... I have been having dizzy spells since I can remember. In my teens was the first time I actually had a seizure and then vomited. It picked back up in my mid-20's around 2000 and was more fainting then throwing up with one time being escalating to a petit mal seizure. Originally, they thought it was neurological... years later they said it was a heart condition. I've had the EEG's, EKG's, MRI's, and a couple others I can't remember the names of...
Avatar f tn A TIA can and did cause me the following: felt dizzy, was vomiting, lost weight, headaches, felt as though he was on a boat and had sea sickness, no energy, sleeping a lot, couldn't concentrate, his vision was odd. At the time I was 28 years old and active duty army. Athletic ;) I do not know about hydrocephalus. I posted this in another community for you; hopefully, someone will answer for you.

Avatar f tn Hi ~ I had a TIA when I was on birth contol pills many years ago and was told back then that I should never go on birth control again due to the risk of having another TIA however my gynecologist suggested that I try Mirena which is an intra-uterine device that releases a low dose of hormone. She said the risk of stroke is minimal because of the type of hormone released. I am looking for a neurologists opinion on this.
Avatar f tn I have gone to the ER with one sided numbness and tingling w/ a bad headache the ER Dr. will say TIA but when I see neurolist I am told migraine. How can I tell if it is a migraine or a TIA?
Avatar n tn Hi i have been vomiting for around 12 days now. this came on suddenly. I am very active, and eat fairly healthily. I had to take to my bed for 4 days as was very weak. The doctor visited twice, and said ihad Malaria symptoms but test was negative. All blood tests have been negative so far. 7 days into 'illness' i had 2 fainting spells followed by a TIA (mini stroke). all tests so far have shown nothing abnormal, heart and chest scans etc are clear.

Avatar f tn It is best that you have this checked by your neurologist for proper diagnosis and to rule out other neurological issues such as TIA and stroke. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I am often nauseous. Twice in the last week I have suddenly started vomiting and each time I vomit large egg shaped ball ( half the size of an egg). I fished them out of the toilet each time and they are yellowish white in color. They are the consistency of a water balloon. I pinched them open and they contain white mashed potato like stuff inside. I smelled it and it smells like vomit. What could this be?
Avatar n tn i am not sure if the the A1AT heterozygosity is playing a role in any or all of your symptoms. I do not think that the hematological abnormalities are significant. i think seeing a hematologist is a reasonable next step, at least for peace of mind. I hope you feel better.

Avatar n tn s not residual damage as it was a TIA and that was all. I do not know how concerned I should be with my family history and my troubles in getting my BP and Cholesteral down. Please if you know anything that could calm my nerves, please comment.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm a 17 year old female. about 2 weeks ago, i was doing my makeup, and all of a sudden i had blurry vision. i hurried and went to my room and laid down and i don't remember anything. i just felt like the room was spinning. i tried to message my boyfriend, and couldn't at all. I then had double vision, and my speech was slurred. i knew what i wanted to say, but the words weren't coming out. I couldn't walk either. i was so disoriented.
4837124 tn?1359906493 I have done extensive research and the only conclusion, considering the symptoms, is a transient ischemic attack (TIA) .I hope someone can shed some light on my issue. Thank you!
Avatar f tn She described a feeling like someone putting pressure on the right side of her face and pulling down over. I thought it might have been a TIA/stroke and I am wondering if she should request to see a neurologist??

Avatar f tn Hi again, I asked about migraines both because migraineurs are more likely to experience TIA and/or stroke in their lifetime and because it is possible that you experienced a migraine w/o headache. I had an episode several months ago that included (all one sided symtoms) of loss of peripheral vision, facial numness, tingling/numbness/weakness in arm and difficulty speaking. My neurologist says it is either a TIA or migraine w/o headache.
Avatar n tn Depends on the cause. I know my grandmother and other elderly people I know had some TIA's and they were advised by their neurologist to take baby asprin as a preventative medication but you'd have to speak that over with a neurologist and see if they think that makes sense for you.
Avatar n tn This is a temporary blood flow restriction in the brain, not a permanent one. However, a TIA is usually a warning that a stroke could follow and the Doctor should try and establish what caused it, such as a diseased carotid artery.
Avatar f tn Hi Ladyjane1, I had my TIA in January 2021, I felt the same when I got home from hospital. My doctor put me on Paxil, and it helped me. I was told that a stroke does that.
Avatar f tn I have been experiencing muscle weakness and numbness/tingling to left side of body and I worry that it is another TIA but then consider that it could also be a side-effect of Lipitor. Is there a contraindication for taking all these drugs at the same time given my medical history? thanks for any info you can provide.
Avatar n tn Hi everyone, my mother is 80 and had what they think was a TIA 10 days ago, ct's mri's and various other tests failed to show any bleeds. She was ready to be discharged but suffered a stroke this morning. she has paralysis on her right side. the ct has again shown nothing. she has been on blood "thinners" for some time as she is atrial difib. Any thoughts as to why nothing is showing up in the pictures?
