voltaren gel tendonitis

Lately I have been putting Voltaren gel on my forehead. I'm doing this to soothe pain from inflammation caused by increased circulation from running a lot. Is this ok? I know it takes away pain, reduces inflammation, and increases blood circulation. Also I got the blood flowing through some decadent veins and arteries on my skull. It is really annoying but gets better everyday. What do you think?

The FDA just announced that dicoflenac gel (brand name Voltaren Gel) often prescribed for arthritis pain is linked to severe liver damage and it can happen within the first month of use According to the FDA, this topical gel has been reported to cause liver necrosis (death of liver cells), jaundice, and liver failure some cases of which have required liver transplant and some that have been fatal! Despite these horrible side effects, dicoflenac gel remains on the market.

History of IBD with surgery so NSAIDs hurt my stomach plus I have asthma which it exacerbates. Even the voltaren gel bothers my asthma and stomach. Today headache/neck pain/facial swelling/nausea/arm pain/fatigue, when will it end? Plan to talk to pcp about seeing a rheumatologist. I see second opinion ortho in November. Feel like I'm crashing, its getting so difficult to hide how bad I feel and I'm scared.

ve never tried it, but I have tried Voltaren gel, a prescription, which I thought did make a difference. It is very expensive. I also get a compounding gel from a special pharmacy (not a chain). They combine a bunch of things like lidocaine, ketamine and I don't know what else. That actually works pretty well. Any chance you could try either of those?

I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has been taking Voltaren...I have been thru the mill with Suprytz knee injections, full series of epidural spinal injections, many trials of anti inflams, physial therapy etc. etc (all to no avail)... Two days ago my rheumatologist stared me on Voltaren and I am pain free for the first time in one year....I am afaid to get my hopes up as this seems too good to be true....

Mobic 15mgs has worked very well for my severe ankle tibial tendonitis and moderate arthritis coupled with physical therapy which helped restore my range of motion which was 60% lost at the time of therapy. However, the tendonitis can not be helped any furthe (I wear orthotics _ high top sneakrs and a splint brace to sleep at night) The mobic helps the arthritis alot for me & I've been on it 1.5yrs with normal blood labs.

does an orthopaedic boot support both knee and ankle? I use Voltaren gel and take Tramadol twice a day.

Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.

do I ever understand what you are feeling. Have you checked with your Dr. about getting Lidoderm Patches and Voltaren Gel? I think I suggested this to you before but the pain has been so bad for me the last week I'm not sure if I did or not. Those patches are a godsend....12 hours on and 12 hours off. During the off I use the Gel. The Lidoderm was originally created to help Shingles patients but now they use them for arthritis issues and other pain issues.

There was even a tingling sensation from above the knee cap down to the shin (left lateral). My GP diagnosed it as tendonitis and bursitis of the quadriceps tendon. He prescribed voltaren and told me to avoid jogging, walking extensively, walking up the stairs or slopes. But now, I have this burning sensation in my left big toe which also feels icy cold at more or less the same time. However, when I touch my left and right big toes they are about the same warmth.

So I've had hip pain for about 7 months. I went to her after months of voltaren, metsal, Celebrex etc and she says it's bursitis and that I'll need steroid injections. If it is muscle how come it only got worse the next day when I stretched? And the voltaren didn't help. I had a mri done that showed I have tendonitis in my left shoulder. I can't raise my left arm up very high which makes washing my hair or brushing it extremely hard. I know I have bulging disc in c5 and c6 with nerve root damage in both. I could raise my arm before they found the tendonitis tho. I can't reach behind me with it either. It just won't move. This has added to the severe pain I already had. I am currently taking hydrocodone apap and zoloft as my meds.

I have been suffering from (R) elbow tendonitis for at least 6 months. I have tried Naproxyn, rest, heat, ice, pain relieving gel, Tyl#3, and it is just not going away. The pain is now radiating down my forearm and into my hand. I had similiar episode 3 years ago with (L) that eventually required surgery and has never bothered me since. I was just given Voltaren Gel(diclofenac sodium topical get 1%) for my neck pain(spinal cord nerve damage) and muscle spasms in my shoulders. I've been using it for the past few days and it has worked wonders for the pain in my shoulders. It comes in pill form too and it is geared for arthritis and pain. I was surprised how quickly it reduced my shoulder pain.

I have been taking nsaids for along time now. and nothing has helped. I have also used Voltaren gel, Lyrica, topamax nothing has helped the pain I am having in my wrist.

well, he didnt say anything at al he just gaveme the voltare, i took a glucose and insulin test and they all came back great. one other thing is that, ther was a time i went to the gym, and it as the firs time after a long time so i think i pulled a hampstring but i got better and then foot started. mt last two toes were the ones inflamed.

t then they gave me custom made innersoles that were supposed to correct my feet they were very uncomfortable for the first week or so but i got used to them and after using them for 3 or 4 months i started to develop burning pain under both my feet i am not 100% sure that it was the custom made innersoles but thats what i think it was that caused the burning pain i try not to use anti inflammatory pills instead i use cream voltaren emu-gel or if iam at home i use bucket with cold water or wit
