voltaren gel cream

Lately I have been putting Voltaren gel on my forehead. I'm doing this to soothe pain from inflammation caused by increased circulation from running a lot. Is this ok? I know it takes away pain, reduces inflammation, and increases blood circulation. Also I got the blood flowing through some decadent veins and arteries on my skull. It is really annoying but gets better everyday. What do you think?

Despite these horrible side effects, dicoflenac gel remains on the market.

ve never tried it, but I have tried Voltaren gel, a prescription, which I thought did make a difference. It is very expensive. I also get a compounding gel from a special pharmacy (not a chain). They combine a bunch of things like lidocaine, ketamine and I don't know what else. That actually works pretty well. Any chance you could try either of those?

I have a shoulder problem and used to be on strong pain killers, but my doctor told me to change to heat rubs!

A nurse friend gave me a sample of Voltaren gel and it worked great. I asked my surgeon about it and they gave me some samples and a prescription. (It' expensive, around $200 a tube. Now I use a compounded cream prescribed by my PM nurse practitioner. It has about seven different things in it. I know 2 of the ingredients are ketamine and lidocaine but I can't remember the rest. (This also runs around $200.) I find this works a bit better than the Voltaren.

I would love to hear feedback from anyone who has been taking Voltaren...I have been thru the mill with Suprytz knee injections, full series of epidural spinal injections, many trials of anti inflams, physial therapy etc. etc (all to no avail)... Two days ago my rheumatologist stared me on Voltaren and I am pain free for the first time in one year....I am afaid to get my hopes up as this seems too good to be true....

Before that, they had me using Voltaren gel, which I did get a little relief from. I find this new compounding cream to be more effective than the Voltaren. I'd be interested in hearing about anyone using ketamine in any fashion.

You might ask your dr for Voltaren Gel. It's a TOPICAL non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. I used it for the nerve pain in the tops of my feet with good results.

Hi folks! Have any of you used Diclofenac or Voltarin Gel for relief from general pain on thighs, etc.(and other large areas ... LOL? What was your experience? Did it actually relieve any of your pain? I've used the tablet form, but it made me sick to my stomach. Is this likely to do the same? Thanks for your help.

So I've had hip pain for about 7 months. I went to her after months of voltaren, metsal, Celebrex etc and she says it's bursitis and that I'll need steroid injections. If it is muscle how come it only got worse the next day when I stretched? And the voltaren didn't help. Also when I'm working or doing physical activity it kinda becomes numb but the pain comes later on. In the cold it's a focused sharp pain rather than all over. Is this signs of bursitis?

I went to my Internist who prescriped 2 creams. Voltaren Gel 1% is 1 of the creams and the other cream is Triamcinolone Acetonide 0.025% After using the creams for 1 1/2 days my neck and face is worse. The burning got worse and I have big round red blotches on my cheeks with scaling rough skin with patches. It still itches and I reuse to use the creams again. I am supposed to use these creams a few times a day. I did that the first 2 days.

Yes I have this itchy scrotum. I'm on a medication that causes eczema. I can't stop taking the medication or else I won't have any place to live. The itching is in fact all over my body; but I learned that certain foods causes me to break out in hives in conjuction with the medication. The itching on my scrotum is forever constant. I've tried all kinds of anti-itch medication as well as 1% hydrocortizones. Nothing works on this itch. I mean no oils,lotions,body wash.

Lidoderm Patches (they are generic now) and Voltaren Gel. The Lidoderm works by letting small amounts of the same numbing agent they give you when they work on your teeth. You can wear 12 hours on/12 hours off. The 12 hour off the Voltaren Gel would work also. Hope that helps!

I was just given Voltaren Gel(diclofenac sodium topical get 1%) for my neck pain(spinal cord nerve damage) and muscle spasms in my shoulders. I've been using it for the past few days and it has worked wonders for the pain in my shoulders. It comes in pill form too and it is geared for arthritis and pain. I was surprised how quickly it reduced my shoulder pain.

I also use Lidoderm patches, which are a prescription. Voltaren gel is another prescription and I alternate that with the lidoderm parches. My doctor also wrote a prescription for a compounding cream. I getit for the RSD but use it for the arthritis as well. Mine has Fentanyl, Baclofan, gabapentin and a few other drugs. I am sensitive to a lot of medications so this is a good alternative. I have also done a bunch of procedures and some physical therapy and occupational therapy.

I have been taking nsaids for along time now. and nothing has helped. I have also used Voltaren gel, Lyrica, topamax nothing has helped the pain I am having in my wrist.
