Avatar f tn Hi there. Hubby was taking several vitamins and supplements before treatment, which we felt were very important for him. We've both been seeing a Naturopathic doc for the past couple of years, which we believe has been crucial. Hubby was told to stop taking everything. We do understand that they don't want anything to interfere with treatment, but we're very aware that most docs have little understanding or interest in vitamins/supplements.

Avatar f tn In order to increase my levels my OB has me on iron supplements in addition to my prenatal vitamins (which also have iron). It in no way is impacting my pregnancy, and right now the plan is for me to deliver naturally, unless something unforseen happens. They will watch for blood loss as for us anemics minimal blood loss can be a bit more serious, but other then that, no problem. I am certain your Dr. will just add an iron supplement to your daily vitamins, that will probably be all.
1994124 tn?1422574099 I would like to know if there are any mothers here take spirulina supplements during pregnancy/breastfeeding? Cant really find a good source of info about it on Google...
Avatar m tn but many docs have found that improving our diets (veggies, fruits, low in sugar, white starches, no smokind/drinking, etc) can strengthen the body..like taking vitamin C for colds/folic acid during pregnancy. Unfortunately, a large amount of medical doctors don't recognize the validity of "natural"medicine and there isn't money/profit for drug companies. My gyn recommended folic acid and L-lysine..
1129232 tn?1360800358 s safe to take vitamin C and vitamin E and flaxseed oil when pregnant? I have not even confirmed my pregnancy yet but i take these supplements every day along with my prenatal and i just noticed today that it says consult your physician if pregnant...

1150573 tn?1261964987 Hi, I've been told and read that you should start taking prenatals 3 months before you ttc and keep on them until you decide not to have any more children. Its never too late to start ! Folic too - before and during pregnancy - helps prevent neural tube defects and you don't want to start after you conceive.
Avatar n tn Time is going to tell you what is going on. Are you taking new vitamins or supplements, sometimes they change the color of urine.
