Avatar f tn Mine have been cracking too, my knees are especially loud and I take more than the recommended dose of vitamins B, C, and Folic acid along w my prenatal and my dr said I was doing great nutrition wise. It's probably since our ligaments are loosening up already, I know my back has already started up.
Avatar f tn I have seen several specialists, had an MRI and nothing really untoward is seen. The pain now travels from lower back through buttock and sometimes down the outer thigh. I go for regular physio and he says that all the fascia, muscles and tendons are being affected because so many parts pass over this bursa. I think I have tried every home treatment possible, some seem to work for a while and then the pains are as bad again.
Avatar f tn Yeah joint pain is normal. The hormones that loosen the ligaments in your pelvis also loosen the ligaments in the rest of your body causing them to ache. It is not fun to endure!
Avatar m tn Your doctor is right in saying that low testosterione levels could cause fatigue, low sexual drive, etc but not loose joints and ligaments and muscle loss. you need to consult a neurologist if you havenot already to investigate a myopathy cause. Serum vitamin D and calcium levels are required to rule out osteomalacia. An endocrinologist consult is also required to check various hormones levels if they are causing these musculoskeletal symptoms. Take care.
5938418 tn?1377023589 Right now she just uses OTC NSAIDs, ice, Rx antacid and exercises to strengthen ligaments. Thanks for any info! Oh, in researching for her I came to realization I have some form of it too - mitral valve prolapse and a lot of the above issues growing up though not as bad as hers. So a doc who treats teens first, but someone familiar with how this manifests in adults as well would be terrific.
Avatar n tn It is the baby's joints popping :-) this happened at a doctor's appt a few weeks back.
Avatar m tn About 3 days ago, I’ve noticed that when I move my toe forward it feels like it pops out of place and then locks forward. When I move it backwards it pops again and goes back to its previous position. It doesn’t really hurt, but it is very uncomfortable. It seems similar to how people with double joints can pop their joints, but mine locks up.

Avatar f tn Hi, I received a neurology report that refers to my constant headaches as post-traumatic migraine headaches, and cervicogenic headaches resulting from damage to the C1-3 facet joints, periosteum, and ligaments or trauma to the greater occipital nerves. Unfortunately, I don't have the opportunity to discuss this report with the doctor who wrote it. Can someone please interpret this for me...I don't understand all the medical terms.
Avatar m tn so I need to know how I can help my joints, lose weight, and get healthier than the average person without damaging anything
Avatar m tn The next day there was swelling and bruising present at the impact sites, and both thumb joints were sore. My hands were stiff, and I had weird tingling sensations in both forearms. I went to an orthopedic surgeon after a week and told him what had happened. He took Xrays and said no bones were broken, maybe stretched ligaments, and completely disregarded that I told him the bones had undeniably shifted immediately upon impact.
Avatar n tn Yes. During pregnancy your body releases relaxin a hormone to loosen you joints and ligaments particularly in your pelvis to prepare for labor. Not to mention all the everything the baby takes out of your body like calcium. Both pregnancies I had issues with ligaments in my arms and neck moving out of place and snapping back it's really painful. As above ask your DE if there's anything you should do and be careful it's easier to injure yourself right now.
Avatar n tn It's ur pelvic area spreading and ur joints relaxing in preparation for birth. I'm 36 weeks and my left hip makes the noise. And causes me to b clumsy cuz of it.
Avatar f tn I asked the doctor on Monday about the same thing cause I was getting the pain as well and he said its normal and the ligaments and muscle are stretching so good luck hope you feel better soon but i would advise you to ask ur doc if it persists
Avatar m tn What is the most common procedure to remove a bone spur in the C-2 and is it common for them to grow back?
Avatar f tn You could just be sore from the added weight and pressure and your ligaments moving down around hour pelvis. It is a little early to feel that baby is low, but just because they're low doesn't mean they'll come soon, you could still have weeks and weeks to go. But you should call your doctor and ask them about if, and in the meantime try to relax as much as you can.
Avatar f tn I was sent to a pain management doctor for chronic pain and was told that i have si joint dysfunction or facet joint pain on the left side. i am scheduled to get an injection tuesday however this afternoon i started feeling leg and foot tingling again on the same side that i had all the pain on before. the doctor seems to think that it is caused from the facet or si joint. I dont believe that i re herniated my disc but at this point no one will give me another mri to make sure or anything.
Avatar f tn This was me last night. I am 26 weeks and I've had SPD since 13 weeks due to already having bad joints/ligaments (EDS). I've been having really uncomfortable braxton hicks for the last four weeks and I am having them more and more to where it's now around 4 hrs a day. I rang the maternity unit last night to speak to one of the sisters as I was breathless from the strength of them. The first thing she asked me was did I have SPD?
1291594 tn?1272295421 The swelling of your joints is not associated with MS - the MS is in your central nervous system and does not affect the joints and tissues and ligaments this way. Have you been checked for some of those other autoimmune diseases like arthritis or lupus? Just because we have MS doesn't mean we can't have other things going on too. Welcome again!
1832712 tn?1318066236 Cranial instability is when ur ligaments r very lax ad do not hold ur joints stable...and ur joints can over extend...some r called double jointed...joints can pop in and out of the socket.... When we have the decompression and they do the laminectomey of the vertebrae the head tends to become like a bobble head in that the head is not well supported...car rides etc...
