For patients on antibiotic, antiviral or oxygen therapy, it is recommend that antioxidant vitamins be taken at least 4 hr before or after each therapy dose. The suggested doses of vitamins can vary dramatically among patients; consult with your physician or nutritionist for appropriate dosage.

Avatar m tn One thing worth noting is I recently stopped taking Vitamins A, B, E, along with Chromium and Zinc. I stopped taking these about 1-2 days before the shortness of breath problem started to occur. I still take Vitamins C and D daily. I have never experienced this before and the symptom usually comes on while sitting down, sometimes standing up, and not being very busy mentally. Maybe I should just be more patient and try and wait this out? It's very annoying though.

Avatar f tn You should not exceed 400mcg (that's MICROGRAMS) per day, including what you get in your diet naturally. The minimum daily requirement is 55mcg. The maximum suggested for safety concerns is 400mcg per day, total. More than 400mcg a day leaves you at risk for developping Selenosis. There is a thread on Dr. Lupo's thyroid board about this, and I am assuming that is where you read about the upper limit being 1,000mcg.
