Avatar n tn I completely understand! Unfortunately, over the years I haven't found the miracle cure to lessen the appearance of those small capillaries just under the skin that lead to the dark circles. And the puffiness goes away only temporarily. I've resumed to a vitamin e eye cream (the body shop), a cucumber eye gel, and a really good two-toned undereye concealer (susan posnick). Let me know if you find the permanent miracle cure!

Avatar m tn I have read on a lot of forums that under eye circles can be caused by dehydration, malnutrition, vitamin deficiencies, sleep deprivation, etc. For the record, I would like to say that I drink quite a bit of water daily and eat pretty good, I hardly eat out and I take a centrum multivitamin each day. I also workout about 5 times a week doing a little bit of something whether its running, pushups etc.
1403795 tn?1282567667 Hello, Yes it is true that microdermabrasion is expensive but laser treatment is much more expensive that that. Regarding the dark eye circles, Dark circles under the eyes can be hereditary and thus if it runs in the family, very little can be done. Vitamin B6 (Niacin) & folic acid deficiency can also lead to this problem and thus can be taken. Some allergens can also give rise to the same and thus need to be avoided.

I have tried so many different eye creams (even the ridiculously expensive ones) and have had very little success. What creams, concealers and natural remedies do you recommend?

Avatar m tn I have had dark circles under my eyes for about 2 years now and it seems to have started after I began college. So maybe I'm not getting enough sleep due to my schedule and everything. But its summer now and I have been getting plenty of sleep but there has been no change. Maybe there is some other reason that the dark circles are there, not having to do with sleep depression. Any suggestions?

Avatar f tn ve found that vitamin c eye gel from the body shop does wonders for under eye circles. Avatar n tn I have major dark under eye circles. I don't know what I should do about them? I get at least 8 to 10 hours sleep every night and drink plenty of water. I have tried a few eye cremes that claim to get rid of dark circles but to no avail and I really don't want to have to spend hundreds of dollars on any more eye cremes that are probably just making the problem worse.
Avatar m tn I also posted this in the dermatology and neurology forums, but I also wanted opinions from here because my situation kind of straddles a few medical fields. I figure the widest range of feedback is the best idea. About 2.5 months ago I was involved in a fight that broke out at a bar. During the fight, I was hit in the face with either a bottle or cocktail glass (I couldn't tell which due to poor lighting and the fact that it came from somewhere out of my peripheral vision).
Avatar n tn Unfortunately, in the past couple weeks whiteness appeared under my other eye! I have never taken a multi-vitamin, nor do I exercise, so I am hoping when I made those two changes, the whiteness might disappear.
Avatar m tn For instance, since it works by being a vitamin K antagonist, foods that contain vitamin K (like leafy greens) can lower your INR. Taking vitamin E or fish oil or aspirin could raise it, and make bleeding more likely.
