Avatar f tn Both you and soggymoggy are right -- vitamin B12 as a weight loss method has no credible research -- in other words, vitamin B12 is not a weight loss aid. On the other hand, vitamin B12 is essential for energy, which might prompt you to exercise more.........but there's also controversy on that issue also. If your levels of B12 are in the normal range, it's not likely to make much difference.
Avatar m tn Of you do the same exact thing every week your body will go into pause mode cause its used to what made you lose weight so you can try a different exercise or one day with slightly higher calorie intake or more water amd try that. You can do it! Good luck!
Avatar f tn Pretty much in people that choose not to watch their diets yet want to take a pill to lose weight, taking a multi vitamin will be effective. Most namely making sure she is getting all of her daily required amounts of vitamin B If she is already tracking her calories, watching her nutrition, getting enough exercise, doesn't have pre existing cardiovascular issues, not competing in major athletic events, she could try the EAC stack.

Avatar f tn Do you have a thyroid issue? If you are trying to lose weight due to being hypo then you may need to adjust your thyroid medication if you are on any. If not on any, have you been tested for thyroid disorder? Using the L-canitine should be used in conjunction with good eating and excersise, not just on its own. B12 won't help you lose weight as such as it is a necessary vitamin for good function of the body.

Sounds like it could be a controversial issue. I think if you check out Alternative Weight Loss forum, you might find some stuff there about B-12 injections, along with some people who swear by it.
Avatar f tn You can take these together. Cayenne is unlikely by itself to make you lose weight, though it will help circulate energy and blood. Any hot herb does that. I don't know what's in your acai supplement, just remember it doesn't do all the things claimed for it. It's just a very nutritious berry, so don't expect the miracles claimed for it.
Avatar m tn hi, and welcome,you need to get some good nutrients back in you, not only to gain weight, but for your health, you need proteins, you could take the protein health drinks/shakes, also fresh fruit and veg, eating them raw is best, sugary stuff isnt much help, and not good for you, take a good vitamin supplement and some calcium/magnesium/zinc, b vitamins are also needed, these are what your body is depleted in with taking drug, i wish you well, take care, sudie

Yes, there are drugs to treat morbid obesity, which work more or less on similar principles but in a more scientific way, and are useful only in those really obese. Avatar f tn Suggest you do not take additional Vitamin B supplementation if you do not need them. Taking vitamin B12 will not help you lose weight. There are no adverse effects associated with excess Vitamin B12 intake from food and/ or supplementation, however, why take extra when there is no need too. If you want to lose weight suggest eating a Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet.
Avatar n tn If you try and lose weight too quickly, you usually just shut down you metabolism and after initial weight loss, you will start gaining. You need to find ways to relieve your stress and try and avoid being obsessive/compulsive about losing weight. Also, try varying your workouts and make sure you alternate between intensity training and endurance training. But I think the main culprit is stress. 5 htp was a big help for me in that department.

I was wondering if anyone know if it is safe to take these supplements? I am healthy but currently don't have insurance to go talk to a doctor. has anyone tried this way also. i refuse to do diet pills because they don't work. Or if you have any other ideas?
