941766 tn?1257796601 Like the person above me replied the Vitamin B family is great for anxiety and depression. I also have used 5HTP, L-Thenine, and Ashwandha with pretty decent success. I have heard that st Johns Wort is good for the depression side but it never really did anything for me. Oh, I also tried Valerian Root but that just made me tired. I'm glad you are looking to go natural too.
1381186 tn?1280202029 Does anyone have advice/a preference for the best type of b complex for anxiety? Ideas on how to keep the magnesium from making me nauseated would be appreciated as well. Thanks all.
Avatar n tn I take a med for my stomach that can cause B-12 deficiency so I have had those levels checked. They were normal.I have extreme anxiety. I do believe that anytime our bodies deviate from the norm, and b/c people who experience anxiety are so in tune with their bodies, that we can tell when something may be a little off.
774268 tn?1236432951 a good multi vitamin B is also a good choice, often Vitamin b Deficiancys symptoms are anxietys, chest pains, and the whole deal.
1486478 tn?1307462997 It wouldn't hurt for you to take good vitamins scrupulously when you are not eating regularly. Whether anxiety depletes vitamins or not (and it wouldn't be surprising if it does erode especially the Bs) the fact of eating irregularly is not good for your vitamin flow.

669255 tn?1240456907 Do they randomly test for vitamin B in any blood work up?
Avatar m tn ve struggled with anxiety for 7 years now and when I get anxious about something, even subconsciously, I get this internal shaking and my brain will get foggy for a while. It's like the inside of my body is freezing and trembling, even my teeth chatter... But I'm not actually cold.
Avatar m tn I had been waking up two hours early with severe anxiety every morning for months. The first morning after starting the B-6 I was able to sleep in, wake up feeling calm and relaxed and felt completely normal. This improvement lasted a week before the anxiety, depression and sleep disruption returned. I considered that the benefit of taking B-6 might be all in my head, but I did not experience any improvement after starting the magnesium or other supplements.
Avatar m tn Do you mind "newbies" here? I just stumbled on the Complementary Medicine Community - never knew about it before... I've recently become interested in B-complex and B-12, so this post caught my eye. I recently began taking a sublingual B-Complex, grasping at straws that it would help my energy level. Unlike the previous poster, I did NOT have nightmares fortunately. BUT I didn't take it for more than about 2 or 3 weeks.
Avatar f tn hi everyone could you please tell me if b complex vitamins help stress and anxiety allso vitamin c im trying the natural way instead of librium the doctor gave me i would be gratefull for any advice thank you all.
Avatar f tn Is it ok to take B-complex for a little energy while pregnant? I am 30 weeks along and dragging butt big time!
Avatar f tn Not sure if you're still checking this but vitamin deficiencies can absolutely cause these symptoms. It's most likely Vitamin B12, she would probably need injections. Her Vitamin D and magnesium may need to be raised as well.
784382 tn?1376931040 The Mag/Cal/Zinc one is best since they all work together. And no, they won't make you feel crazy, in fact, you won't feel anything at all, really. Something else, Turkee...I've been taking Valarian Root for a week and I feel EXCELLENT! I have severe anxiety, too and it's working like a miracle! I'm also taking Black Cohosh primarily for menopausal hot flashes but it's also good for mood and I am so pleased! I've seen your struggle honey and so sorry for you.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if anyone is taking vitamin D3 to help with their anxiety or depression? I have heard lots of good things about it. I know I personally do not get out into the sun enough. I did start on 1000iu per day, but my chiro says to do 5000iu. He thinks it will work wonders on my anxiety. He's never steered me wrong before. Love this forum.
Avatar f tn My doctor put me on Prozac and every other anti-depressant in his book. Nothing worked. Until I discovered vitamin B. The last seven years of taking vitamin B supplement have changed my life. The first couple of years I was on *** ***** B-100 Vitamin B-complex. The last few years I have found B-50 to be enough. The B's have wiped out the whole problem of depression. I have not taken an anti-depressant for years and years. I never go to see my doctor anymore. Thank you,...
689528 tn?1364135841 I haven't experienced morning sickness yet. (Fingers crossed I don't) At times I'll get like a hot spell and maybe feel a little nauseated but it never lasts longer than a minute. Anyway...was wondering if everyone takes extra vitamin B?! It's supposed to help and while TTC I started taking B50 complex and I am still continuing it. I think this may be why I don't feel sick.....LOL I'll keep ya updated though cuz I'll just be 5 weeks tomorrow!!
