Avatar f tn I just found out that I'm pregnant I'm 6 weeks and 3 days but I'm a college student. I don't have a job because I was in school full time and I don't have support from my mother anymore. I don't know how to get insurance for myself and I'm scared I won't be able to get any. I need help.
1530342 tn?1405016490 Even as congressional committees continued their hearings on the website debacle, and opponents hammered the president for his past misstatements on the cancellation of insurance plans, voters in Virginia elected an Obamacare enthusiast, Democrat Terry McAuliffe, as governor. McAuliffe’s close victory over tea partier Ken Cuccinelli greatly improves the odds that 400,000 low-income Virginians will gain access to Medicaid next year.

Avatar m tn Retina is OK now but I have a large floater which is always visible and blurs my vision several times a minute sometimes for a fraction of a second, sometimes for several seconds (possible Weiss Ring? although my eye surgeon said they don't call it that anymore). He had me wait several months to see if it went away or I got use to it (it did not) and now suggests a vitrectomy. I am looking for a less invasive alternative. Is use of a laser to dissolve occulsions approved.

Avatar n tn Great decision to ditch the Opiates now. You are at a good place for help and encouragement Dean. Welcome to the forum. Please share more of your story and read some of the other posts. Avatar n tn Hagan, I read with interest on line about patients with myopia/presbyopia who sometimes see all three distances with just monofocal surgery, no adjustments of any kind afterward, no mono or mini vision, etc. I heard that this sometimes happens, but it is unusual. Unfortunately, I accidently lost the site as I was reading the article, and couldn't find it again.
Avatar f tn t take insurance either, but I pay the LLMD, get a receipt, and then file with my insurance company and get some reimbursement. Yes, getting treatment for Lyme can be expensive. But in my view, the only thing more expensive than treating Lyme is not treating Lyme. Money vs health. I'd rather be broke and healthy than have Lyme forever. Personal choice thing. Everybody's different that way.
Avatar m tn I had my Percocet RX filled on the 10th of this month in West Virginia, where I have just moved. How soon can I get another Percocet RX filled? In my last state there was a three day rul. So I could get the RX filled on the 7th! It's been a bad month and I'm going to need it sooner than the 10th, so what's the guideline or rule in West Virginia?

317787 tn?1473358451 Hello I live in Virginia, my spouse is on pain management. Due to an insurance snafu 5 years ago, one day our ins said they would not pay for his medication. The cost was $1,000, I could not pay for it. I asked him to please get a pain medicine that we could pay for in case the insurance would not pay. So...he got on methadone, it is pretty inexpensive and I thought it would work. It has...for over 5 years, no problems, until today. We went to CVS which is where he always goes...

Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.

Avatar f tn I have a friend who had a reversal in a military hospital that was no cost to her. I believe it's only certain ones that will do it. I think she was in Califoria at the time. I had a reversal as well but we are not military so it wasn't covered by any insurance.
Avatar n tn Hey!! I don't know alot about IVF or suffogacy but I have been reasearching it a little lately b/c my sis offered to do it for us. I have found out that it depends on the state (U.S.) you live in and that states laws. Every state is different. In Virginia, You have to be court approved for surrogacy and have to be diagnosed as to the exact reason you cannot conceive and/or carry to term. I am unexplained so I don't have a diagnosis.

Avatar m tn My complaints of poor vision, night driving, contrast vision led to first catatact surgery, am awaiting the second. Some central vision loss was attributable to glaucoma, which I thought had been managed well. I have been considering a second opinion (possibly at Wilmer eye); not sure who closer to home, ichmond/Williamsburg Virginia area would be good to see.
