Avatar f tn I cannot enroll in a obamacare plan because of this; I need insurance coverage . I am a diagnosed case of Multiple Sclerosis. My hubbie is working but we are barely making it. What insurance options do I have? Is there any group that can provide assistance.
Avatar f tn s no telling how much if any of my vision will return. My vision corrected to 20/40 with glasses within 6 months of my first ON episode in September 2013, but I didn't lose as much vision that time either.
572651 tn?1530999357 I have more than a $8000 deductable with the State Workers Plan which is the largest insurance pool in NC. I will easily fork out $10,000 in out of pocket for 2010 and my MS is not that bad. I forked out over $3000 for gallbladder surgery and expect another $1000 for MRIs and my biannual visit to the Neurologist which will take 15 minutes. The NCHRP is a great plan for a friend of mine who pays $1000 a month premium and has a $20,000 a year deductible to even see a doctor.
Avatar n tn I unfortunatley am in the situation of not having health insurance and living in the asheville nc area there isnt alot in the way of "free" healthcare much less anything to begin with. any help figuring this eye problem out would be GREATLY appreciated. for medical history i am a 22 year old male non diabetic (as far as i know) who had perfect vision my whole life.
Avatar f tn You can get AIM even though you have insurance as long as your insurance does not cover pregnancy or your deductible is more than $500. They charge you based on an income scale and give you 12 months to pay it in monthly payments. I have to pay $792 with monthly payments of $66. Which is way better than 6500. Maybe your state has a program similar to it.
Avatar f tn No NC Insurance Covers It Anymore! ***** But They Don't..
Avatar n tn Im 7 weeks pregnant and my health insurance doesn't kick in until 3 months from now!! Is that too late to go in for a doctors visit?...and I dont think I will be approved for public assistance. Please help!
Avatar f tn Hey I live in NC too when I went to DSS I was told that if you bring proof of your pregnancy and due date that women with child are always excepted. The only part that ***** is they have a full 45 business day to get back to you it take for ever I still have not got my letter yet. I also applied for food stamps I was awarded in February and didn't get my card until May. Even though it may take time i would give it a try.
Avatar f tn My dr said to wait 3wks for insurance reasons as I wouldn't be able to press the pedals as hard if I was in an accident but I think it depends on your car insurance company here (in Australia).
Avatar f tn Does anyone know if Medicaid covers a free pump in NC? I exclusively breast fead my now three year inks until 22 months and plan to do the same with this one except I will be going back to work.
Avatar f tn Idk i heard bad things bout military men but i dont wana say theyre all the same . 921053 tn?1245180795 The Chiari Institute is something I have looked into but they don't take insurance!!! I am a single mom with 3 kids and out of work due to this miserable vertigo!!!! I can't afford that.
972476 tn?1249142683 Most insurance companies won't cover fertility meds. My primary only covers things that need to be done (u/s to make sure I don't have cancer, pap smears, etc) but it won't cover anything that has to do with getting pregnant. So my doctor has run a lot of my tests and filed it as basic women tests (i.e. a saline u/s to make sure I don't have cancer, etc). Luckily my husbands insurance covers up to $10,000 in infertility tests, meds, etc. His is with BCBS of NC.
Avatar f tn Any nc moms out there?? I asked my boss they other day how long fmla allows me to be out of work with the baby, he told me 6 weeks, i want to try to take off a week or two before baby comes so i can have everything ready but with only 6 weeks idk how im going to do that because i cant put her in daycare until she is 6 weeks. I always thought fmla was 12 weeks in north carolina... anyone know if its 6 or 12 weeks????
Avatar m tn Looks like you live in NC.
Avatar n tn are there any numbers i can call to get financial assistance for single mothers with no insurance? i found a lump in my armpit and got an ultrasound done, but now i need to get a biopsy done as well.

Avatar m tn HI, I have hep c but I dont have insurance. I live in Charlotte nc and if anyone out there knows of anyways i can be in a trial or study I would do so in order to get treatment. Can anyone come up with some ideas to get this started?
494656 tn?1209640771 I have used adipex(phentermine) and have had the B12 shots before and it was awesome. That was before I had kids and moved to NC and then to SC where I currently reside. I have had two kids and Im approximately 45 lbs overweight. My daughter is 7 months old and I know they say to give it the same amount of time it took to put it on. Well Im only 2 months shy of that date and I still have 45 lbs to lose.
Avatar n tn The doc has mentioned sinus node ablation and/or pacemaker several times and I am afraid that is what they are going to want to do at Duke or UNC and I have read that ablations and pacemakers can make POTS patients worse. My insurance is called medcost and only covers doctors in NC or SC, it is a preferred provider network, so if I were to go to Vanderbilt or Mayo Clinic (FLA), I would likely have to pay out of pocket.
Avatar f tn I have had several visual disturbances with double vision and blurred vision. I have not found a dr. that has even had a patient with syringomyelia. So what do they know? The drs. eyes seem to glaze over when you mention syringomyelia. I am at my wits end. I live in SC. Does anyone know a good dr. in SC, Ga.. NC, or FLA. I am not crazy. My MrI has also noted tethered spinal cord.
Avatar n tn It is just blank. I went to the eye doctors and had them evaluate my vision and was told my vision was perfect. I was reading about this lady who said she could not see the left column in the dmv vision test because of a condition called Amblyopia. You think I could have it too? If I did, would it go unnoticed if the doctor did not specifically test for the condition?
Avatar f tn I am just wanting to hear personal experiences with Dr Rosner, or other surgeons for this around the Charlotte, NC area. Thank you so much!
Avatar f tn You may only gain count fingers to 20/400 vision at best after all you have been through. Your retina and basically all the systems of the eye seem to have taken a hit from the severe problems you have been through. Please post again if you have more questions. Basically this rpe granularity issue is probable one of about 10 issues your eye has going on. Sorry for all your suffering.
1400141 tn?1284986069 i had an eye exam in may 2010 and told the doctor, he dismissed it all and was not concerned. my problems are that my vision has gotten worse since my last exam, my vision is very blurry and its hard to see a computer screen, tv, books, etc without squinting and even then, it's still blurry, my eyes water excessively. sometimes it looks like i am crying but it just won't stop. my eyes are also randomly very sensitive to light and it makes it hard when driving.
Avatar f tn I have been diagnosed with myopic degeneration and receive the intraocular injection which is very effective. My insurance carrier will not cover the cost of the injection (medicine and surgery). If I had a diagnosis of macular degeneration it would be fully covered. I am looking for suggestions as to how to make my case with the insurance carrier that this is not a one time event but a chronic condition that if not treated would result in a loss of vision.
