649848 tn?1534633700 I know that there were some people posting a couple of weeks ago, who live in Florida and were in need of an affordable insurance plan. As I was driving to work this morning, I heard an advertisement on the radio about a plan that is apparently run by the State of Florida. It's called Cover Florida. I know very little about it - just what I heard in the ad, but it sounded like it might be worth looking into.
Avatar f tn There are lots of detox centers in florida...sometimes you have to go where your insurance directs you..if you have your choice I would google it...
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with an ocular migraine that effected the vision in my right eye...the blurriness is going away, but not completely...I'm nervous 'cause I'm afraid the blurry vision in that eye will stay like this forever...the vision isn't as sharp in the right eye as it is in the left.... Is there some type of eye drops I can take that will get the eye back to normal?
Avatar m tn I was bitten by a tick nearly 6 years ago. I live in central Florida and was out with some friends adventuring in the forests that surround central Florida. The next morning I woke up and there was a small black tick attached to my upper leg right where the leg meets the groin. Knowing nothing about Ticks at the time I just removed it (probably incorrectly) and went on with my life. For the next few months to nearly a year after the tick bite would continue to itch.

8216878 tn?1403882912 I dont know about tennessee, but here in Florida, I've been told that none of our insurances cover circumcisions... I would call your insurance and ask them.
Avatar f tn Hi. Sorry you're hurting. There are members who live in Florida but I'm not one of them. Hopefully one of them will be on later to answer your question.
Avatar m tn I would get into an opthamologist to have it checked out. While we were on vacation in Florida in May I woke up the 2nd day with a black dot in the bottom of my left eye--figuring I had just spent too much time in the sun and didn't think a whole lot about it. I had no problems with my vision, etc. 3 days later we went to Disney World and while we were there about 80% went black--I had not ridden on any rides--just all of a sudden I noticed things looked different.
Avatar f tn It appears to me that I have run into a new practice similiar to the "pill" mills here in Florida. "Cataract" mills where the doctors recommend surgery & say it will correct all your vision problems. I went to 1 ophthamologist who recommended I get both eyes done, although I have only lost vision, which is uncorrectable in my left eye. This was after he had spent @ 5 minutes with me. He said after surgery, I would only need glasses to read.
Avatar m tn His doctor told him that even with a new prescription his vision cannot be corrected (in the bad eye) to better than 20-50. He has trouble driving during the day (always thought the problem was night driving) because of glare, and cannot read signs.
Avatar f tn well im about 9 weeks pregnant kinda in a mess with not having insurance and i probably wont get medicaid for a while so what do i do? i cant go months without being seen :/ I want to see if my little one is ok any ideas or help??
Avatar f tn t sign up for the vision plan because I have plenty of contacts, so decided to sign up during enrollment in January, but I did sign up for Medica health insurance. Now I have a growth in the corner of my eye. Not on the eyeball but in the way corner next to the nose. It is red, doesn't hurt or itch, is just super annoying because it touches by eye sometimes and feels like some eye boogers and I constantly want to rub it away.

Avatar n tn You are young enough hopefully not to be on any other meds, so you can find out once and for all what is causing them. Shands and Cleveland Clinic and Mayo have hospitals now in Florida. Not knowing where you are, I suggest you look them up online and go to the one nearest you. And try to forgive the other docs. Their expenses are above what they can handle now because of insurance companies so they are getting caught up in the results of basically socialized medicine.
1031264 tn?1318524241 Hi there, I read your post and I know that in South Florida, IVF of Florida Reproductive Associates have a program called Step Ahead where they will give you up to 50% of the cost of IVF. I hope that was helpful if your in Florida. Good Luck!!
Avatar f tn I'm 25 & live in Florida. I applied for pregnancy Medicaid last week. I just faxed in my pay stubs this morning to see if I am even eligible for them to open a file so I can be considered for assistance.. I do have insurance thru my job but I can't afford it now.. Anyone else in Florida going thru or went through this process?
Avatar f tn Do you have health departments in Florida or pregnancy crisis centers. Look around for those because they help women who are low income and have no insurance. I hope this helps.
Avatar f tn Thank you. I will look into it tomorrow. Since they wanted to charge me for my pregnancy test I figured they would charge me for any tests I need til my insurance came through. I recently moved to Florida so I'm not sure how they operate down here.
Avatar f tn s car fell into a Utah sinkhole, according to media accounts. But the holes are enormously costly. Insurance claims submitted in Florida alone between 2006 and 2010 totaled $1.4 billion, according the Florida Senate report.
Avatar f tn I chucked it up to my anxiety as I had a bad bout of it at that time. Now I feel as though the vision in that eye is not as good, almost like I lost some peripheral vision. Does this sound serious or just a coincidence? Is my anxiety perhaps triggering the visual disturbance as well? My insurance for eye care kicks in on the 1st of the Year so I will be getting an eye exam. Any insight (no pun here ) would be appreciated.
Avatar f tn It differs from a PPO in that for most services it only covers in-network. With a PPO you can see anyone in-network or not with less coverage out-of-network. With the United plan, for instance, for the basic and catastrophic, either individual or group, the average monthly premium is about $100 for basic and $300 for catastrophic.

Avatar n tn We have sent my glasses back five times. My double vision in one on top of the other as in road signs, etc. We tried different strengths of prisims to no avail. Can you help? He suggested I see a neuro-opthomologists. I live in central Florida. Do you have any suggestions on what this could possibly be? Should I see my regular Dr. for scans and further testing?
