Avatar f tn Lol no not spamming you. I was in shock. I have Ucare. It's a minnesota insurance with great rates and apparently benefits we didn't even know about. I am so excited because it's going to save us about $500.
Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
280369 tn?1316702041 If it is solely a cost factor, you might consider vision insurance. Most vision plans replace lens every year, frames every 2 years. It certainly is a cost saver for me in purchasing my glasses.
387294 tn?1207620185 With this impact her chances to get health insurance on her own? Will it impact our ability to continue her insurance after the cobra period is over on our insurance?
Avatar f tn made all payments, through 4/27/08, when the Cobra was due to end. On 4/29/08, I received a letter from my Cobra Insurance Co., saying that they were refunding my payments, from 7/1/07, as I was eligible for Medicare at that time. Of course, a huge stack of bills, totaling over 170,000 was included with the check. I am 64. After researching, I find out that I had to elect Medicare B? I was never told this, and therefor I have no paperwork on it.
763297 tn?1281379425 Hi everyone I just went to my doctor who referred me to a fertility specialist. I need to get insurance that will help me pay for some of this because it looks like it's going to be very expensive. Can someone please tell me what some good companies are that aren't too expensive.
Avatar f tn This will be covered under your health insurance - not your vision plan because you are not being see for glasses but rather for a medical problem - blurred vision and sore, tired, dry eyes. Again this should be covered under your medical insurance just as if you went to your primary care doctor for a cold. It's a medical problem. Again, your story does not suggest optic neuritis to me.
Avatar n tn Your script has no astigmatism correction, if that's what you need. Since you don't need readers, why bother remaking the glasses? I predict that you'll never wear those $450 readers. Go for a full refund, and use your insurance benefits to get some nice sunglasses (at a different optical shop.) Maybe you'd do better seeing an ophthalmologist, or at least find an experienced optometrist who doesn't push Scientology literature.
Avatar m tn I am freaking out because my husband carries our health insurance and all the benefits for the household. IF he loses his job, we lose benefits and everything.....
Avatar f tn I'm currently covered under my parents insurance. They cover all my maternity expenses and they'll cover the labor and deliver, but not the baby once it's born. My boyfriend has very bare insurance because of obamacare that he has to pay for because his work doesn't provide benefits. What options are there for us?
1365830 tn?1277997291 If your pregnant you are already covered with your health benefits, but some insurance companies refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have pre-existing condition.
Avatar f tn I started my new job in the last week of Feb and my benefits were supposed to start March 1st (my benefits from my old job lasted until Feb 29th so in theory I should have been fine). It is now April 22nd and the HR director just gave me my benefits orientation yesterday and promised me she would have my info in the system and I would be able to sign up on-line by 8 pm last night. Well 8 pm came and went and alas no active files.
Avatar f tn If drug treatment is covered by your health insurance- can it be denied as a "pre-existing condition" if you were getting treatment and paying out of pocket before you got the insurance??? Anybody know? Someone told my son that because of ADA it cannot be denied. Anybody know?
1016618 tn?1420553262 gov/health Go to that link, they have to give you benefits if your a vet but you may have to do a co pay. Your insurance may pick that co pay up. I did a quick read but it seems the co pay is rather low 5% if I read it correctly.
Avatar f tn That means no copays, deductibles or coinsurance for people whose health insurance plans are covered by the new requirements. The Obama administration estimates that 41 million Americans will benefit initially, with the number projected to rise to 88 million by 2013. Many large company plans, which usually offer solid preventive benefits, will be exempt from the requirements for the time being.
Avatar n tn First of all, get health insurance!! Find whatever you can. Work benefits? Does your state offer any assistance. I live in Ma and its mandatory to have health insurance, you get fined if you don't and employers must offer it. The state helps to get you health insurance with consideration of your income. If I were you I'd be concerned. You almost had a seizure in the shower! What if you hit or head on the tub or when you were trying to get out?
Avatar f tn I live in NY and they have to keep me on medicaid till after the baby is born because weake to much to be on it bit my husbands work doesn't offer insurance so its kinda hard to afford other insurance right now .....
Avatar m tn ok about 2 months ago i just apply for medicaid health insurance and i am moving next to Pennsylvania will my insurance still work out there?
Avatar f tn My job doesn't afford any maternity leave benefits and since I don't have short term disability they told me I can only take a leave of absence. Is there any other way to see if I can get some type of maternity benefit? Someone had mention check with my unemployment offices. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn What are the best health insurance sites/companies/agents? When you search health insurance you get ehealthinsurance.com, and healthinsurance.org, and http://www.HealthPlanOne.com as the top 3 but I want to know if you have found better ones than these ones.
Avatar n tn I have been a type 1 diabetic for 19 years and have resently found myself without insurance. My family income is just over the acceptable level for medicaid and I cannot pay for my insulin or the doctor vistits or the needed labs. Does any one have information that might help me?
Avatar f tn my mother has a pseudo tumor in the left eye. She has previously had a UNC Chapel Hill Dr. do a biopsy and has had radiation treatment to no avail. She doesn't have health insurance so the Dr. won't continue with any treatment and are baffled as to the cause and solution. So we (I) are lookin' for a Dr. that would be willin' to use her as a ginea pig to figure out the problem. The tumor is startin' to grow and now extends out to her glasses.
620877 tn?1282764097 I work for a small company and I do not have those benefits, medical, dental, etc. I am fortunate that my husbands medical insurance is so comprehensive. I spoke to an insurance broker about my situation: not diagnosed, but being investigated and that my neuro is highly suspicious that I have MS.
Avatar f tn Almost 12 weeks pregnant with no health insurance! I need to go to the doctor ASAP but idk what to do!
1222635 tn?1366396286 does anyone have any suggestions on getting insurance to cover tmj problems? i have a bad overbite and it is what has caused my TMJ..but my insurance plan booklet says TMJ treatment is excluded from the benefits. is anyone aware of any companies that DO cover the treatment? my husband and i are newly married and there is no way that i can afford phase 1 or 2 treatment. we live in alabama..i am assuming that it is not required by law for insurance companies to cover TMJ, as BCBS of AL does not.
Avatar f tn Please get another opinion before proceeding. You will never regret doing this. It's possible that a clear lens exchange will improve your vision, but it's also possible that it will offer you no benefits and a lot of frustration.
Avatar f tn Hello everyone. I need some suggestion on an affordable health insurance that doesn't look at pre existing conditions. I've had svt for 20 yrs now and would like to get an ablation. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank u.
