viread

Avatar f tn You don't have to give up your baby, viread is safe for pregnancy according to my doc. I'm currently 18 wks preggo and will start viread after 24th wk. I will continue to take viread after the baby and I want another baby after this one. I asked my doc should I stop taking viread if i'm pregnant again? He said if I stop the virus might flare up even higher so I should continue to take viread even if i do get pregnant again.
1191262 tn?1366763021 I am taking Viread as well. Is it okay to take it during pregnancy? If so, did you start in the first trimester or later? Also, is it safe to take while breastfeeding? I know it's not a good idea to stop medication and that's why I'm wondering about Viread and pregnancy and breastfeeding.
1191262 tn?1366763021 Dr said it was ok to get pregnant and that Viread is a Category B drug which is safe during pregnancy. It has also been safely used by many HIV women since years. I gave birth to my baby boy on December 16 2010 and and baby is doing just fine. If some of you ladies are on Tnf treatment, it is ok to get pregnant when you take Tenofovir. By the way, I never missed a pill since I started the treatment and during all my pregnancy.
Avatar m tn Yes, Viread is considered to be safe for women during pregnancy. What I like to know is whether it is also okay for men to take Viread when they also want to father a child.
1303524 tn?1323140356 I understand how you feel...I feel the same right now and would like to stop Viread especially that I haven't been told that I can not stop it after...I hate taking this pill every morning knowing that there might be risks for baby inside...I have hope that after delivery I will treat with Viread + Alinia and stop both of them. Alinia seems to be giving more fast results and seroconversion on HBV. Yes, you can not stop Viread (Tenofovir) because there are risks of flares.

Avatar f tn viread is taken to have babies and dont infect them with hbv, you dont have to stop it on the contrary women not taking viread have to start it if they get pregnant with high hbvdna you can take viread during all pregnancy and also for breastfeeding, it makes no harm to the baby, many members here took it with no troubles as to liver damage, most patients have no liver damage from hbv only those with a stronger immune system/hbv specific mutations have damage from hbv if you want to stop it
Avatar f tn cabin, please start treatment now, your LFTS are very high, why you are putting yourself in danger, look at me i m pregnant and taking tdf, baby is growing, and one more thing,in my last pregnancy my viral load was o,and my lfts were normal always 22to 35 in my pregnancy, but after delivery my LFTS keep rising almost 3 years, but not more than 68,so your condition is very dangerous, after delivery your ALT and AST keep rising,

Avatar m tn Stefano and others, thanks for your help. As I posted before, 2 of my relatives are currently undergoing Hepsera monotherapy. I went to a new doctor for a second opinion and the Hepsera-prescribing current doctor for an explanation of treatment choice. The first doctor agreed that Baraclude and Viread are to be dispensed per current AASLD guidelines but, once you've started with Hepsera, there is no need to change. He felt that the resisitance rate for Hepsera (vs.
Avatar f tn ve done some research on Viread and it seems reasonable safe for pregnancy and my dr. Says that little traces are detected in the breast milk. My concern is the kidneys since that is one of the side effect. Can anyone even healthy person have complications with their kidneys? I'm due in two months and would like to see if I can avoid antivirals or is it useless to wait? And if I do go on viread, can I stop after delivery or when my levels are back to normal range?
Avatar f tn No don't stop viread and wait for a couple of month till taf arrives completely in market and then switch to it as is renosafe. Stopping viread will flush ur 8 years of virus control and chances to lose hbsag in future may go in vane.
Avatar m tn yhi i'm on combo viread + interferon i'm 27 yo and still eag+..
Avatar m tn Hello. This is my very first post. I'm so devastated about something. My sister-in-law is just above 10 years old. She takes Viread and Kaletra every day. My mother-in-law takes Videx EC and Ziagen. My mother-in-law is currently in Africa, and I've searched on the pills my sister-in-law is taking, and I found out that it was HIV treatment :'( I couldn't hold my tears, because I love her so much, and she is so young. I want to know what it means. Please tell me.
