Avatar f tn I went to CVS store, it cost 1000 USD to 30/300mg for Viread Tablet. is it too expensive? The staff there told me generic tablet is not available. But why I see it online as I said earlier? What happens if I take brand and then switch to generic like a year later? Will the generic medicine do the same? Thank you.
Avatar m tn viread is more realiable than generic tenofovir right? do you know any online site/store where viread is sold and guaranted to be delivered to you?
Avatar m tn Hi All, Does any one observed efficacy differences between original and generic medicines for HepB? (for ex: between Viread/Vemilidy vs any other generic). The reason why I'm asking is due to that I have started my HepB treatment with Viread and it did magic in bringing down my HBVDNA to UND, also HBsAG quant is reduced to 4400 from 16000 and also specifically my liver histology improved a lot in ultra sound scans.
Avatar f tn Hi! I would like to know which supplier is commonly used here for tenofovir (viread) generic? I have researched one by Cipla Limited from India...90days supply at usd$133.48. Is that supplier reliable? Also, it says prescription required. What kind of documents do they require from our Doctors? Thanks for replying!
Avatar n tn the generic in india is absolutely the same as brands, it is just cheap and easy chemicals.....so easy to do.
Avatar m tn My question is that are these generics equally potent as their branded counterparts i.e. Baraclude and Viread.?I heard that the colour of Viread is blue whereas the generic version Tenohep which i use is white....are they same or something is different?Due to monetary constraints most of us can't afford to go for the branded versions.....
Avatar m tn You can get generic viread (tenofovir) from a company in India called Cipla. It costs $30 US, though if you go through an intermediary site like pharmacychecker.com, those companies will charge you about $60 US for a 30 day supply. Still an excellent deal compared to what Viread costs here in the states.
Avatar m tn Anyone in the U.S. using Medicare Part D for Tenofovir (TDF, Viread) or Entecavir (ETV, Baraclude)? Currently, my aunt is on Adefovir (ADV, Hepsera) and she has Medicare Part D. After asking around this forum, I now realize that she should be on the above 2 medication only! I'm in the process of getting a new doctor, but I wanna see how costly getting on those 2 drugs will be. How much of a burden is Tenofovir or Entecavir, if you use Medicare Part D? From PharmacyChecker.
Avatar m tn My funding for Viread runs out in Aug, 2015. Gilead is under pressure to have the FDA stop the Generic form. Tenofovir is made by Cipla in Mumbai, India. This firm has been making drugs since 1935. All drugs are distributee in 130 countries. China has re written their F D A type regulation banning Viread because the earlier agreement stated that Viread was 300% higher in cost. China decided at that price, few people could afford the $12,000/yr and was not helping it's people.
Avatar m tn I am a healthy carrier of HBV and have been taking viread for more than 1 year. The latest blood test showed that HBV DNA was below the detection limit. I came to malaysia to work recently and after I came here, I tried to get viread and seems i could not find it anywhere. My doctor recommand that I can take Baraclude, but I am a little worried. I saw in the old post, that people take both, but for my case, by just pure change from one to another, will there be any side effect?
Avatar f tn it is a wrong name for drugs just to make more money for the first drug maker who did the drug generic is the same drug made from another drug maker, this is why the name generic is very wrong, generic sounds like the drug is different but only drug maker is different.
Avatar m tn fibroscan 2.3 kpa. Your liver is very good. No medication need. Just follow stef and his diet.
Avatar f tn org/ if it still too expensive go for generic tenofovir which is more potent and cheaper, about 98usd per month.
Avatar m tn I think the are same with respect to the primary composition. I noticed this cos i take Viread, but on 1 or 2 occasions i had to take a generic brand, and i would feel ill for several days once i start taking the generic. But fell absolutely fine taking viread.
Avatar m tn i wouldn t worry about that but just concentrate on combos of everything working on hbsag and take it down especially when not too high i would be wonderful to get data from india and china hospitals making the combos like reported from india, i am sure most get hbsag decrease on interferon+alinia+tenofovir continuous therapy
2006341 tn?1327831658 sold out of a Canadian Pharmacy? I take Baraclude and it is doing wonders but the cost is a killer. entecavir is the generic but wondering if anyone out there has had success using it instead of the brand name version baraclude.

Avatar f tn So Ive been taking viread before bed for the last 4 years. My hair has been receeding and falling out throughout those years. It is now getting really aggressive and noticable. I stopped taking viread for a month to see if it would reverse and sure enough it did. It came back full and thick. Yesterday I took viread again and half of what came back began falling out. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions? Im still young and my parents have good hair. What can I do to stop or prevent?

I had a liver biopsy and was told that my levels are very low (3000), that I'm lowlevel infectious and that I have no scarring. My doctor has prescribed Viread. I have read a little about the medication and learned that it contains lactose. I am lactose intolerant and am not sure what to do, I have not started taking the drug.
