505521 tn?1211929241 What is this timeline thing you discuss? Is that like, Hey I had optic neuritis in April of 2000? Don't my records reflect this? Are you telling me to keep my own medical diary and copy it for the appropriate docs?
Avatar n tn I looked and only found the health page about preparing for your doctor visit - it has some very useful tips. I could swear there is a page somewhere about constructing your timeline. Here's my timeline that I took for my first neuro vist, as well as a list of my doctors, dates of health events and tests, and what drugs I am on. Maybe between Rena's and mine you can get inspired to think about what had led up to this point. Good luck.
1142230 tn?1268675666 I'm interested in preparing a timeline. Is there a thread about this somewhere? Thanks for any help!
Avatar n tn I'm trying to get a timeline ready for my new neuro appointment next week. My problem is that I can't remember what happened when from July 2006-early 2008. I had a horrible episode that started July 2006 and was in an out of ERs, dr's offices and on so much medication for so many things that I really can't remember when the episode ended, when the next one started, what symptoms appeared when and when I had what tests. It's all run together.
Avatar f tn We are just so confused and have compeletly exhausted our family medical leave at work. Do you change your timeline if you are faced with an illness of one of your loved ones? We will not talk to our mother about this since the word timeline suggests that she has limited time and she eneds to be optomistic. We just want to be with her so bad......Thoughts?
Avatar n tn I had a DVT that went through my heart and into my lungs(PE). A valve was damaged, also one chanber of my heart. My problem is that I wasn't diagnosed as a "heart attack", but rather a "pulmonary embolism", and the lawyers representing me in my vioxx lawsuit say it has to be a heart attack, not a PE. Isn't a heart attack part of a PE? Rather, did I suffer a heart attack as well as a pulmonary embolism?
Avatar f tn There was no money exchanged or special consideration given to get Vioxx on the market. However, Vioxx is a good example of a study not digging deep enough into long term effects of a new drug. Vioxx was introduced in 1999 and was originally thought of as a treatment for polyps in the intestinal track.
Avatar n tn [2] A series of small-scale studies completed in Germany found that H. procumbens was indistinguishable from Vioxx in the treatment of chronic low back pain,[3] and was well-tolerated after more than four years of treatment of H. procumbens alone.[4] H. procumbens also seems efficacious in the treatment of arthritis-caused hip and knee pain.
1166523 tn?1264364643 I have put together a timeline that begins in 2000. I have been suffering for many years now and still no diagnosis. I was wondering if anyone might be able to tell me if this could be MS? or maybe something else? I apologize that it is so long. 2000: This episode happened during the summer and was a Mild episode that included loss of concentration, brain fog, muscle weakness and pain and severe fatigue.
Avatar f tn I've just done a timeline for a neuro appt. this past week, so here's what I did. And I know Rena posted one too, so ask her what her technique was? Each time I thought of something, I'd put it on a post-it note, or scrap of paper. After a few days I had quite the stack. Then I'd enter it into my word document and cut & paste it into order. Even while doing this typing part of what I thought was my final document, other things kept being put on post-it notes!
Avatar f tn m hoping quitting pills will be a similar experience. One of the things that helped me was the timeline of how my body was recovering from quitting smoking. Does anyone know of a similar timeline for quitting opiates, specifically hydrocodone? I know it depends on age, dose, and how long using, but a generalized timeline would be great. Again, I'm not talking about the wd symptoms, but how the body recovers. Thanks!
