1428481 tn?1340593131 I have the eye drops (Vigamox) on hand and was wandering if I could use them on my son. I have heard a lot about pink eye but never in infants so I'm not sure how to treat an infant with Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis). He has green mucus basically gluing his right eye together. I have had to wipe it clean multiple times with a wet cloth. The white of his eye is not red but I have heard of people having pink eye without it actually being red.
Avatar n tn Also, if it could be HSV-1, could I have passed it to my boyfriend? We had intercourse and oral sex this weekend, when I thought it was an eye injury and not pink eye or HSV-1.
Avatar f tn Only someone that has examined your eyes can tell you how it should be used. It's important to know that "bacterial keratitis" is a potentially serious problem that can lead to permanent eye damage.
Avatar m tn Within a day of getting off the medicated drops, there was a pink blur in my left eye. I continued using the medication thinking it was pink eye again. It worked for a week but now my eye is quite veiny. The doctor also had said that my eyes were very dry. Could this be the dryness that's making my eyes veiny? I've made an appointment to see the optometrist again, but it's not till another two weeks. I would like to have some sort of idea (and perhaps remedies I can do now).
Avatar m tn Last two weeks have been really bad and i have seen like mulitiple Doctor`s who have all said i had pink eye or this and that. I am using patanol and vigamox. Problem is i have like a white discharge on my eye and it does not like to come out. I use a hot compress twice a day then i try to rinse my eye and flush my eye as well. Nothing it just remains in my eye. Most of the time i go to bed and it still there.
Avatar f tn I am no Dr. but I believe in 3 years the Vigamox might lose it's effectiveness. If it were me, this is one area I wouldn't cut back on because Vigamox is CRITICAL for your eye health after eye procedures. You don't want to kick yourself if your eye heals with complications. I too am always tring to save money where I can, but I would do without a new pair of shoes, jeans, or something else instead...just my two cents.
1231260 tn?1267565314 Dr Yao. she is taking VIGAMOX SOL 0.5% THROUGH HER EYES. Is pink eyes disease or system is from playing with dirty people? 'or not wash hand, and touching her eyes? would this pink eyes return in the future? because I'll don't want her to play with this girl any more, she show my princess her legs, was bitten by bed bugs, of cause the mother of my princess, refuse to admit it was her neighbor daughter Hygene.
Avatar f tn t relieve the pink eye or excessive tears. Now I am putting Vigamox followed by Prednisolone drops. My pink eye appears to be gone, but not the tears. So, if after your long battle with this, have you found the answers you've been looking for? Are your eyes back to normal? And could you tell me your outcome? Did a Doctor finally test your tears? I appreciate any feedback you might give.
Avatar m tn I did this for about eight years and never had any problems until about a year and a half ago. In November 2009, I was diagnosed with pink eye and was given vigamox. About a day later I had to go to the emergency room because I was covered in a rash and having problems breathing. After that, my eye doctor took me off the vigamox and gave me a new prescription eye drop. It seemed to be working at first, but after a few weeks of the new drop it made my eye pressure skyrocket.
Avatar f tn I went back yesterday, no improvement so she send me to the eye doctor specialist. She told me to take Vigamox every 2h instead of 4. When I read the trial on Vigamox the patient took the drug 3x a day and see efficacy after 4-5days. For me it had been 5 now 6 days. I am kind of scare and I don't know if they know what I have exactly. Anyone on earth had a similar event or know what it could be please answer I will highly appreciate and have a better thanksgiving.
Avatar m tn I had unprotected oral from a sex worker, and about three weeks, later, got symptoms of burning, and a clear discharge etc, I was treated, before test results got back with doxy, 100x2 daily, and my GF was treated with 1 gram of Azithromycin in one treatment, in the last few hours, I have started to get symptoms of pink eye, I then treated it with vigamox x 3 daily, does this sound like a normal treatment, and result, my buring sensations have gone away, and my eye is slowly calming down.
Avatar m tn one more thing that my treated eye is now bigger then my second eye after the treatment which is easily noticeable.
Avatar f tn Nine days ago I woke up with an extremely mild case of pink eye in my left eye. My sister had been suffering from it, so it was pretty easy to guess where I'd caught it, and I went promptly into the doctor to get it checked out. She confirmed it was pink eye (but didn't say whether it was viral or bacterial) and prescribed me antibiotic eyedrops. Knowing that it usually spread to both eyes I started drops in both eyes.
Avatar f tn The pain backed off somewhat until one month later, when I used Vigamox for one day for an eye infection, when the pain recurred with fury about two hours after using the drops .. My tendinitis is concentrated in the supraspinatus and the long head of the biceps tendon, and now, almost ten months after the original whatever-it-was, I still must use light weights at the gym for curls, bench press, and flyes--and cannot do these exercises on successive days.
Avatar f tn I am in the middle of having cataract surgery (one eye is done and the other will be done tomorrow). The doctor gave me small samples of Nevanac & Vigamox to use before and after the surgeries. He also gave me a prescription for both. In checking with my health insurance plan, I see that each prescription will cost me $75 to fill. I saw in a previous question that Tobramycin might be substituted for Vigamox (which is MUCH cheaper). Can you suggest a cheaper substitute for Nevanac?
Avatar n tn My left eye was bothering me for about two weeks, off and on. I thought I had a simple eye infection and used previously Rx'd drops to self treat it ( I know, I know ), then it became very apparent when I could not focus my eyes while driving that something was wrong. I saw my Doctor he put numbing drops in my eyes and did a slit light test, then prescribed me acular and vigamox, directed me to two different OTC drops ( one which is almost gel like ).
Avatar m tn About two weeks ago I randomly woke up with very very foggy vision in my right eye. I have never had this problem before. I do wear contacts but I do not sleep in them at night-to me the vision looked like it would if I put my contact in and there was a smudge on it. So I immediately went to my eye doctor who told me that I have swelling in my edema and there were folds that aren't very common so he sent me to an Opthamologist.
1415174 tn?1453243103 He gave me Vigamox drops every two hours and Bacitracin ointment for night time. I am having a lot of side effects from the Vigamox (irritation, watery eye, itcy, pain etc. and very red eye). But that is not the biggest problem. I tried the Bacitracin for two nights. Last night I up and saw that my eye was very swollen.
Avatar f tn I went to see a fam md and he gave me vigamox eye drops is that med good, my eye lid is still swollen, the doctor said it was a stye. what do you know about this medicine. thanks.

Avatar n tn i have shown my condition to 3 doctyors and have taken different eye drops begining with VIGAMOX and more recently ZEDATIN and FML forte. my left eye appears smaller than the right eye, it is very red in the lower part of the eye as well as in the sides. these symptoms are present in the left eye as well but are not as severe. i also experience itching and irritation in both eyes from time to time. SHOULD I START LOTEMAX? will it be effective?
203342 tn?1328737207 Vigamox is an antibiotic NOT a steroid. This will not treat episcleritis. I suggest you see an ophthalmologist. Dr. O.
Avatar f tn He constantly was rubbing it. I took him to his pediatrician and he ruled out pink eye and an object in his eye. He gave us a prescription for the eye called vigamox, which is a strong antibiotic, and said he had some kind of allergic reaction to something. The swollen eye went down after a day and the redness was slowing disappearing. I also took him to an eye specialist the other day and he ruled out anything serious and said he may simply have allergies.
