Vigamox how often

Common Questions and Answers about Vigamox how often

avelox

Avatar f tn If it is the usual types of bacteria, it should respond to the Vigamox but it must be watched often and possibly cultured in case it is a bacteria resistant to Vigamox. Also, you must be very careful to follow all the directions you have been given regarding your contact lens care. Often a lapse in this care starts these problems. Also, once a patient gets one of these, I never allow them to wear lenses on an extended overnight basis.
Avatar m tn Often after I rise in the morning my eyes burn and water. Wiping them with a tissue does a good job of relieving the discomfort, and I'm generally good for the rest of the day. My concern is that I'm going to have cataract surgery this coming Wednesday, and I know that rubbing the eyes afterward is a bad idea. I'm hoping for suggestions as to how best to relieve the discomfort and not compromise the incisions by rubbing my eyes.
Avatar m tn hy, 2 weeks ago i had cxl treatment for keratoconus. my doctor prescribed me to use vigamox and tobradax 4 times a day for 5 days and after flu she prescribed me to take these drops for 1 week.
Avatar f tn I am in the middle of having cataract surgery (one eye is done and the other will be done tomorrow). The doctor gave me small samples of Nevanac & Vigamox to use before and after the surgeries. He also gave me a prescription for both. In checking with my health insurance plan, I see that each prescription will cost me $75 to fill. I saw in a previous question that Tobramycin might be substituted for Vigamox (which is MUCH cheaper). Can you suggest a cheaper substitute for Nevanac?
Avatar f tn Now I am scheduled for cataract surgery, and in the presurgical packet I received this weekend, there is an rx for Vigamox, even though I requested that a note about the Cipro/Vigamox problem be placed in my file. I know the fluoroquinolones are appealing to docs because they are so tremendously effective, but for people who cannot tolerate them, are there acceptable substitutes?

1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi, my corneal specialist (opthamologist) said I have a marginal corneal ulcer bacterial in nature and was thought be caused by rosacea. He gave me Vigamox drops every two hours and Bacitracin ointment for night time. I am having a lot of side effects from the Vigamox (irritation, watery eye, itcy, pain etc. and very red eye). But that is not the biggest problem. I tried the Bacitracin for two nights. Last night I up and saw that my eye was very swollen.
Avatar m tn Please avoid washing the eyes out since it will cause further irritation and more discharge. I am unclear if you still need to be on vigamox? These are often complex cases and require attention to the lid margin and the abnormal tear film. Sometimes a brief course of steroid drops and gentle cleaning of the lid margins and aggressive treatment of dry eyes are in order.
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed and given vigamox (4 x day) and Tobradex. The doctor insisted I come back the next day to check my pupil after dilated. So, I paid another $140 for that exam. Now, they (it's a medical center where different doctors step in) insist I come back every 2 days to check on the healing. Unfortunately, I can't take off anymore work or pay another $140. The redness, itching and stinging have all decreased in the last 36 hrs since starting treatment.
Avatar m tn I did this for about eight years and never had any problems until about a year and a half ago. In November 2009, I was diagnosed with pink eye and was given vigamox. About a day later I had to go to the emergency room because I was covered in a rash and having problems breathing. After that, my eye doctor took me off the vigamox and gave me a new prescription eye drop. It seemed to be working at first, but after a few weeks of the new drop it made my eye pressure skyrocket.
Avatar m tn Every so often I get very swollen upper and lower eyelids and my eye goes bright red. It is always the left eye. I have had one opthamologist treat me for Herpes Keratitis while another for chronic blepharitis (I do have seborrhheic dermatitis). What can I do to head off these attacks? I do warm compresses and lid scrubs, but can I use steroids like Tobradex when I fell an attack coming on? Often they seem to be preceded by a stye. I'm suffering through one now and very anxious.
Avatar n tn I saw my Doctor he put numbing drops in my eyes and did a slit light test, then prescribed me acular and vigamox, directed me to two different OTC drops ( one which is almost gel like ). Told me that I had a cut with scar tissue and that it would be a long and painful healing process. I was told not be in the wind or under a fan, always have on sun glasses when outside, and keep light dim while inside. He said it would probably take eight to twelve weeks to heal.
Avatar f tn the doctor gave Vigamox(from every 3 hours, now 3 times a day), amphothericin(from every hour to every 2 hours), nizoral(every hour 24 hours a day). That's really hard taking such eyedrops, As of now, he doing his check up (from every other day, now its everday already). I want to know how long will i take to cure that infection. My dad cant attend anymore with his work & other activities because of this.
Avatar m tn He told me that I had an infection in my eye due to the fact that I was in a public hottub (hotel) with my contacts in. He gave me vigamox. I followed up the next day and they said it looked like everything was getting better and they gave me some anti-swelling and sauve for at night. Everything got better for me and I went off the drops like the doctor told me to. Now one week after stopping the drops the eye is blurring up again.
1428481 tn?1340593131 I have the eye drops (Vigamox) on hand and was wandering if I could use them on my son. I have heard a lot about pink eye but never in infants so I'm not sure how to treat an infant with Pink Eye (Conjunctivitis). He has green mucus basically gluing his right eye together. I have had to wipe it clean multiple times with a wet cloth. The white of his eye is not red but I have heard of people having pink eye without it actually being red.
Avatar f tn thank-you!
