1128722 tn?1263102664 Hello, I called and am going in tomorrow at 9 a.m. I stopped the Vigamox approx. 27 hours ago and the skin disorder is still getting worse. It's on the insides of my cheeks now. I'm assuming it won't start to improve until all the vigamox is out of my system. The person I talked to on the emergency line asured me that stopping the Vigamox early would not harm my eye. That was my greatest fear. I also noticed tiny little blood blisters all over me about the size of pinheads.
Avatar f tn I am in the middle of having cataract surgery (one eye is done and the other will be done tomorrow). The doctor gave me small samples of Nevanac & Vigamox to use before and after the surgeries. He also gave me a prescription for both. In checking with my health insurance plan, I see that each prescription will cost me $75 to fill. I saw in a previous question that Tobramycin might be substituted for Vigamox (which is MUCH cheaper). Can you suggest a cheaper substitute for Nevanac?
Avatar m tn everything was going good and my vision was start improving but after 4 days when i use vigamox drop i faced immediate reaction casing radness, swelling and blurriness in my eye so i visit my doctor next day and she told me to stop taking vigamox and continue using tobradax and gentreal 3 times a day for one month.
Avatar f tn She told me to take Vigamox every 2h instead of 4. When I read the trial on Vigamox the patient took the drug 3x a day and see efficacy after 4-5days. For me it had been 5 now 6 days. I am kind of scare and I don't know if they know what I have exactly. Anyone on earth had a similar event or know what it could be please answer I will highly appreciate and have a better thanksgiving. Also is it dangerous to take Vigamox at each 2h?
Avatar n tn Follow-up, I looked up the medication (sorry I'm not good on medical terms) and now understand your dog has dry eye, or that may be a symptom. My Westie has been diagnosed with dry eye and was prescribed a dog ointment, in a very small tube. The vet cost was typical, the test was a simple "wick" test and while the medication is expensive, about $35 and I use it only every other day or so, watching to see if my dog show dry eye symptoms.
Avatar m tn I have a bad case of Blepharitis and my optician has prescribed Vigamox to be used for 7 days on my eye lids. I am on the 4th day and I don't see a whole lot of change in my eyelids. Is there something better than this? I also go to an Opthamoligist and he prescribed a salve, which also didn't work. I am putting hot compresses on everynight with a lid scrub (also not working.) I would appreciate any help you could give me. Thanks.
Avatar f tn My rheumatologist confirmed that I am one of them, since I have gotten tremendous and long-lasting shoulder pain while on Cipro--and then a flareup later while using VIgamox, not yet understanding the possible connection. Now I am scheduled for cataract surgery, and in the presurgical packet I received this weekend, there is an rx for Vigamox, even though I requested that a note about the Cipro/Vigamox problem be placed in my file.

Avatar n tn I saw my Doctor he put numbing drops in my eyes and did a slit light test, then prescribed me acular and vigamox, directed me to two different OTC drops ( one which is almost gel like ). Told me that I had a cut with scar tissue and that it would be a long and painful healing process. I was told not be in the wind or under a fan, always have on sun glasses when outside, and keep light dim while inside. He said it would probably take eight to twelve weeks to heal.
Avatar f tn Hello, I'm being treated for "bacterial Keratitis" on the left eye. I've had the infection for about two weeks. I waited a long time to see a doctor because I don't have insurance and I thought it was pinkey and would heal on it's own. I was wrong. I finally went at cost of $140. I was diagnosed and given vigamox (4 x day) and Tobradex. The doctor insisted I come back the next day to check my pupil after dilated. So, I paid another $140 for that exam.
Avatar m tn My ophthalmologist prescribed Vigamox and Nevenac 4 times per day beginning 2 days before the surgery, Being a antibiotic, I hope the Vigamox helps with the bacteria count as well.
1415174 tn?1453243103 Hi, my corneal specialist (opthamologist) said I have a marginal corneal ulcer bacterial in nature and was thought be caused by rosacea. He gave me Vigamox drops every two hours and Bacitracin ointment for night time. I am having a lot of side effects from the Vigamox (irritation, watery eye, itcy, pain etc. and very red eye). But that is not the biggest problem. I tried the Bacitracin for two nights. Last night I up and saw that my eye was very swollen.
Avatar f tn thank-you!
Avatar m tn On the "blue top bottle drops" there is a prescription name. If you post that, you might get a helpful answer. Really, patients should know the name of every prescription they are are taking--and what it's for. You can--and absolutely should--ask the doc or the pharmacist; they will be happy to give you the info. Also, you can simply type the name of the med into a google search box, and tons of info will come up. But first--you have to know the NAME of the drug in question.
Avatar f tn I have heard about the patch and the IUD and wanted to know all about them or any other really effective birth control. I don't want anything that will increase my acne, weight, or flow. I have bad acne and flow as it is.
360318 tn?1340393363 So my question is should I get on birth control? How will this effect the way I act and the way I feel? I have heard bad stories about the pill, and that it makes you really cranky, and I am already cranky once I ovulate, and I am worried my boyfriend will leave me if I am more cranky, because he has threatened to leave a few times when I had ovulated and had been cranky.
Avatar f tn I would never recommend the depo shot. I was on it for a year and ever since ive had bad headaches and problems with my bones aching. It ***** the calcium out of your bones and I was always small (110-115 pounds) before I started it and it made me gain weight I was never able to keep off and stayed around 140 when before I could never even make myself gain weight. It totally messed up my body and periods and I bled for 2-3 weeks everytime I had to get the next shot.
Avatar f tn I've never used birth control because I don't want my hormones messed up, and I've heard it making people bleed heavier and longer so I never wanted to do that. But now I'm about to have my second child, and I don't want anymore. Tubal is out of the question because the Dr won't do it at 23 yrs old. Sooooo I need some birth control options that are safe and lasts a while. Any good ones?
7670156 tn?1401987192 Hi ladies, I know we're all pregnant and all, but yesterday at my check up my doctor said I should start thinking about what kind of birth control I want after my baby girl is here. I've never been on birth control (and still did very well, baby was planned) what do you ladies suggest worked best for you? I don't want to worry about another baby for a long while at least a few years. And that implant that goes in your arm scares me.
Avatar f tn I just stuck with the pill because I could remember to take it at the same time every day reguardless if what works best for you remember, no birth control is %100 effective. I got pregnant with my son on 5 years of religious birth control. And my friends mom got pregnant with an iud. Birth control and protected sex is always your best bet!
Avatar f tn The only birth control ive ever taken was the pill and it made me sick alot. Honestly the right birth control depends on the person. For example if they can go get the show every three months or if they are good with taking a pill every day. Its all aboit what you are comfortable with.
Avatar f tn If your still on the birth control still and you believe it's made this worse talk to your doctor about coming off the birth control and see whether there's any other birth control that will be better suited
Avatar f tn i was on the pill, shot and patch and i ended up pregnant all three times, posible u could be if u dont get ur period or its close to get ur peroid if u are worried i would get a test and check and if so check a couple more times i sure did 5 each time and then went to the doc and took a test there to and then i was.
