Common Questions and Answers about Vicodin withdrawal nausea

vicodin

Avatar f tn The vicodin can cause headaches and nausea really bad b/c it can conflict with your body's natural hormones. I always had nausea and vomiting when I took vicodin in the past but since I was diagnosed with a chronic pain condition my body ended up getting used to it. Now I dont take it as much and I get severely nauseaous and vomit. I take prescription Phernergan to help with the nausea but I think the Vicodin is too powerful and doesn't let the phenergan work.
Avatar m tn 8 codiene phosphate to about 4 Vicodin per day. I am waking with terrible shahes and nausea as wall as other problems. O am trying the therapy of medicines recommended on this site. This is about my 3rd day of tapering. Should I take a Vicodin first thing to help out. I can't stand this feeling.
Avatar f tn Today is day 8 of vicodin withdrawal. I was using vicodin since November, starting at one and a half and going up to two and a half. Months ago I tried tapering down to one but then went up to two again. A month ago, I went through my third of three abdominal surgeries in the last year. After each surgery, I was given a few days worth of pain medicine but back in November I got the script from a neurologist for my back and I've had access to it ever since.
Avatar f tn I actually feel hungrier after the first few days of withdrawal. Vicodin supresses my appetite. Everyone reacts differently though, if your vomiting through the first week of withdrawal or eating less because of nausea, weight loss is deffinately a possiblity. Good Luck & God Bless!
Avatar m tn In most cases withdrawal symptom feels like a flu. Muscle ache, diarrhea, nausea, sweat and etc.. How sever they will be or how lengthy is really different from one patients to the other. Maybe your will not be so bad. Some patients have minimum side effects. Good Luck.
Avatar f tn I checked out just fine, and am wondering if the sudden withdrawal from vicodin might be the cause. There has been no reduction in symptoms since they began 7 days ago.
Avatar f tn I have been a vicodin addict for many years on and off and have now been taking tramadol 400mg daily for about 4 months with an occasional bought of a week or so of 50-80 mgs of vicodin daily. I would like to know how bad withdrawal will be at this level when compared to withdrawal coming off of 200-300 mg of vicodin which I have done in the past. I have also withdrawn from Cymbalta which was hell and lasted for over 30 days.
Avatar f tn I had surgery a couple weeks ago to have a pelvic mass removed. The gave me instant release oxycontin 15mg every 3 hours. I came home a week ago & they gave me a prescription for the oxys. I decided to stop taking the oxys because I didn't have pain anymore. I started having terrible withdrawal from the oxy pills. Shakes, vomiting, diarrhea, sweating, can't sleep, can't eat. This went on for about 2 days. Well, I gave in and took 1 oxy pill.
Avatar n tn Hello. I have been taking 6-7 Vicodin a day (5/500) for 4 years. It was prescribed to me from an accident I had resulting in a major back injury. My question is.... what am I going to feel like sobber? It's been so long since I've been sober I am scared how I will feel. And yes I'm dreading the withdrawal which will be starting tomorrow night. (my Doctor recently cut me off). I went through withdrawal about 3 years ago but shortly after began taking it again.
Avatar m tn Can you overcome Serious vicodin addiction (10 to 12 pills a day) without checking into rehab and what physical effects should I expect?
Avatar n tn ll like them and then be right back here. According to my doctor vicodin withdrawal only lasts three days, BS. Three days for the big stuff like restless leg and painful cramps and lack of sleep. But I think the psychological last longer.
Avatar f tn If you are having blurred vision and confusion I would encourage you to seek medical care asap - I highly doubt that is still from vicodin withdrawal and you may have other issues going on. Usually the worst of the withdrawals is the first 5 days then you would just feel weak for a couple weeks. What you are experiencing is not normal. Call your doctor or go to ER.
Avatar m tn My pain was so bad that they put me on fentanynil patches for 30 days and I am wondering how they will go trhu with taku=ing my off these patches. I have taken btween 600-700 vicodin and percocets before the patches and want to know the process of ending this.
Avatar f tn 5 vicodin about every 4 hours to get through the Ativan withdrawal. I know it sounds bad but I figured vicodin was the lesser of 2 evils. If I knew ahead of time how bad Ativan was, I never would have taken it in the first place. I was taking 1 mg a day. It wasn't that much compared to some other people, but it was enough to give me really bad withdrawals. I just don't know what to do. I've lost so much weight and I can't keep anything down.
Avatar n tn I was afraid to mix vicodin with the provigil, so I decided that this was my day to quit the vicodin. I must be honest and tell you that on day 2, I took half of a 7.5 vicodin at two in the morning. The restless legs were intolerable. After I took the half, I was able to sleep. On day 4, the nausea, slower breathing, restless legs and the sweats, cold and goosebumps were so bad that I had to take 2 pills.
Avatar m tn Ok what about Vicodin? Would taking Vicodin slow or halt the recovery process from quitting Zoloft? You know since my brain is in a weak state since I'm recovering from stopping Zoloft, I think. I ask because I was addicted to Vicodin for a month and a half AFTER quitting Zoloft. I was taking 60-80mg of hydrocodone a day during that month and a half period. Would taking Vicodin weaken my body and prolong the withdrawal process from Zoloft?
Avatar f tn s instead. From a drippy nose, to diarrhea, to body ache, to mood swings, to feeling nausea, to feeling like there are bugs in my body, to just feeling like I'm going crazy, to wanting to find it on the street and buy some to make these symptoms disappear just for an hour, to feeling anxiety, to feeling I'm helpless. How long is this going to last and why is it getting worse as I go?
Avatar f tn Be very careful with what you eat try one food at a time it took me 6 weeks before the nausea stoped .the doctor if you call will probably give you something for it .Try drinking club soda that can help the rls.take it easy you have gone threw alot ..
Avatar f tn Vicodin will probably suppress your withdrawal symptoms while in your system. Tramadol withdrawal is usually easier and faster than Vicodin. Usually will be 3 days and then starts getting easier. Have you spoken to your doctor about your plans to withdrawal? May be he can help you through your symptoms just for a short few days.
