COULD VITAMINS AND AMINO ACIDS CAUSE INCREDIBLE HUNGER AND WEIGHT GAIN? I HAVE GONE FROM 104 TO 118 SINCE JULY 1. IF I KEEP THIS UP I WON'T BE ABLE TO FIT IN MY CLOTHES ANYMORE AND CAN'T AFFORD A NEW WARDROBE.

My question is this, Has anyone lost weight after getting off Vicodin? I know when I take Vicodin it makes me feel smaller than I am.

Hmm I know two other people with known Vicodin issues one went from 145 pounds to 215 in her two year use. She never had a weight issue then at 34 starts the Vicodin and poof she blows up. The other girl has had a year long addiction went from 122 pounds to 170 and has never weighed over 125 in her 30 years. I've know them both since we were 3. It was amazing to see them go that route. Then when I started gaining I admit it was a big factor amongst the many others.

I've got a combination of BP and Bulemia in remission. Know that meds don't have the same side effects for each person.. I'm on Lithium, Seroquel, and Lamactil, with ativan when I need it. You may or may not gain weight, I think eating a healthy diet can curtail the weight gain anyways. I haven't gained any, but have actually lost a little, because I'm to control my urges to eat! I'm a klutz too! Always have been.

I am on Duragesic pain patch, Ultram, Lortab 10 mg, and Lyrica 200mg. I noticed weight gain and swelling in my legs and feet with Lyrica and wanted to know if Topamax could replace Lyrica.

I *can* tell you, however, that drugs are not the best way to lose weight; because, although you may lose weight on the phentermine, chances are great that you will gain it all back as soon as you stop the drug. I, too, would be hesitant to take a drug like that if I were just coming down from addictions like you are. It sounds like you are eating to keep yourself busy --- where you would normally smoke a cigarette, you are satisfying that "hand to mouth" impulse with food.

Starting this new anti-inflammation med and I read it could cause weight gain and swelling.....anyone have this as a symptom? How well does it work? Have a lot of pain from herniated discs in my neck and back.

now i hear bad things about zyprexa. i can get past the weight gain, but not the sleepiness it can cause. i am afraid to take it. i know it is an antisycotic drug or how ever it is spelled. i am just thinking about throwing out all of my pills and living with this anxiety and depression. i guess the new thing now is take this drug if an antidepressant does not work. i can hear it makes you a zombie. is all this true? has anyone had good luck with this drug?

Also I am terrified of weight gain, I have heard both good and bad on the weight gain and the abilify. I have heard yes it does make you gain a ton of weight and then no it dont. I am getting tons of mixed signals from websites, my doctors, and pharmacist. I just need a little support from others taking this medication, so I can base my experience on others, rather than what I am reading on the internet about it. I really dont like taking medication of any type.

Then comes the isolation and weight gain and eventual weening off until the next bad flare up. It is a drag to have to live this way. I think if I could treat the depression it would be better but have never been able to find one that works well for me. I have tried them all and am waiting for the new NMDA receptor anti depressants to be available. I will research lyrica.

Well I'm 7 months that means I'm 27 weeks and I have only gain 1 pound my midwife said it was OK 4 me to not gain weight bcz I'm over weight so u girls tell me it seems like I won't have to do a lot of weight loss. How far are u nd how much you gain?

I try to eat 3 meals a day however I just get really sick after the first bite of food except for at dinner time. I thought I was going to gain weight after getting off of the vicodin.

You gain the most weight in the last 8 weeks. So you might barely gain now, and then pack it on fast toward the end which is normal.

I know this is probably a stupid question, but I'm 36weeks pregnant and since my last doctors appointment I haven't gained any weight. I didn't gain weight in the 1st trimester due 2 sickness, but in the 3rd I've been pretty steady with my weight gain...at the very least a poun a week. So my dr says my weight gain is fine. He said 1 pound per week along I am.. So I am 32 weeks and I have gained 31 lbs... Does that sound like a lot?!? What has everyone else gained? Or is that a horrible question to ask everyone?

I haven't gain that much weight but I'm pretty sure I was at least 7 to 10 pounds over weight before I got pregnant.... I'm 5'3 so i think i should weight a little less..... maybe 125lb Before I had my beautiful baby girl (now 25 months) I was working out a lot and I was feeling good ...lol I went down to 128lbs and that when my hubby decided that it was time for another baby ..... I don't even know how or when did It happen.... :(.

I believe that prevacid can cause weight gain ..seems so many babies are now diagnosed with reflux we used to call it cholic and wait for it to pass now seems they put them on meds.Still your doctor would know the answer, I think its the meds and whilst you child ius on them he may gain weight.good luck once he is off the meds he may go down to a normal weight.

I needed those words of reassurance thank you :) I was all worried because medhelps tracker showed that I was at a way high weight gain. So do you think I won't gain any more weight for a while then since your 16weeks and have also gained 10lbs?
