You mean a urine test? Ask for a blood test. With all the posts inquiring about false negative urine test I wanted to put this in my journal for reference. When this issue comes up I always have to research the information so it is easier to just add it here in my journal. It is unacceptable that this is happening to anyone who religiously takes their pain medications. When they are tested and then fired because their test are negative for the medications they are prescibed it is unfair.
I just got a letter from my doctor saying that a second consecutive urine test showed no vicodin in my urine, and that his office will no longer prescribe vicodin for me. I'm beside myself because I know I took my vicodin the day before the test. My new Rx was due the week after the test and I obviously didn't get my prescription. The only thing that I can possibly think of that is my fault is that I drink a tremendous amount of water every day, probably more than a gallon.
I go to PM monthly for 5 yrs now. I have had numerous urine drug test as per contract with them. This last one came up positive for Vicodin and lorazepam, these are meds I don't take at all, I am on 60mgs of OxyContin 3x's a day with 10 mgs of oxycodone for breakthrough pain 3x's a day as well. I am also on .5 mgs of alprazolam for severe anxiety 1 every 6 hrs so I can not understand how those other drugs came up positive when I know for a fact that I did not ingest them.
I had to take my routine urine drug screening test for pain management, it came up positive for norhydrocodone but I have not taken anything in the Vicodin family of drugs at all. How could this have happened?
About a month ago I switched OB Dr's and he started screening my urine for vicodin and it has been coming back clean? I take my pain medication on a regular basis and there should be no reason why it isnt showing. My Dr. is now accusing me of selling my pain medication and I have no way to defend myself. Can someone please give me advice.
I have been clean off vicodin and xanax for 2 weeks, but my urine drug test, still comes out positive. How is this so?
She slipped up on Thursday Aug 7 and took 4 5mg Vicodins. My question is - Will she test positive on a urine test on Monday Aug 18nth? Thanks one and all for your response - the anxiety and fear is driving her insane and I would love to put her mind at ease or confirm her fears. Either way, not knowing his driving her stress levels through the roof. Thanks, again.
he asked me if I have ever had my urine checked. Is this a drug test? I'm told 2 vicodin es a day is very low amount. But this guy has me feeling like a drug addict in less than a year! I need a new PM, but if anyone knows what this test is please tell me. Also, if anyone knows of any good PM's in the Pittsburgh area please let me know!
I am embarrassed to admit that I am 42 years old and addicted to Vicodin ES - sometimes up to 10 tablets a day. It started over 5 years ago after a pinched nerve in my back. I have since developed chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia although I am not sure if the addiction has brought on the problem. before that I worked out 6 days a week and taught aerobics.
They switched me to a PA because they were swamped, it had nothing to do with my urine test (which I was scared to death about). The urine tests he takes, he tests only to seem if for instance, you are prescribed Percocet as a breakthrough med and you take a couple of Vicodin if you run out. They test for the levels of what you are supposed to be one vs what you have taken, Was on methadone for years....
I have been on Vicodin for 2 years or longer, for my back pain, I have had back surgery and I am still in pain... I had to take a urine test last month, the nurse said it was fine... I came back this month and the Dr. said my test was negative.. I told him i take my meds everyday... one in the morning and one in the afternoon...
Wouldnt a blood or urine test show a higher consentration of the medication because norcos are 10 mgs, vicodin come in 5 and 7.5 mgs, I believe.
I'm hoping that you can help me out. On Tuesday, I took two Vicodin 500mgs for my back pain. I've had them left over for when I had some dental work done months back. It's my first time taking it in about 7 months. I am a 22 year old male and weigh 145 lbs. I'm very active with a high metabolism and work in hot weather 10 hours a day. My problem is that I've been randomly selected for a urine drugs test on Friday sometime, giving me 3 days to clean out my system.
First off let me say that I've never used Fentanyl ever and haven't had to do a urine test. I do take vicodin for my pain. But what I wanted to say is kind of what you were talking about, I've been reading on the posts lately and it does seem like there are quite a few people that are failing the urine tests with the fentanyl.
said that they don't really use the fda categories anymore, but instead look specifically at the test results and past history of any complications caused by vicodin. Also, any meds that have not had human testing are automatically placed on the category c list, regardless. Vicodin is safe, my o.b. said I need to taper off it during my third trimester (so the baby is not born addicted). Tapering is important to do during preg.
I have had a problem controlling myself when it comes to prescription pain pills for years. I was clean for quite a while, but ironically when I called my neurologist (I have terrible chronic headaches) to tell him I'm pregnant, he told me to stop taking all my meds and that he would call something in that I could take while pregnant. Well, the "something" he called in was 90 vicodin with 4 refills!
I would recommend a re-test and this time a blood rather than urine test. I have pernicious anemia (a weird blood disorder) and have my blood drawn at least once evey 3 months. My tests are done by a Hemotoligist at the hospital lab to ensure there are no mistakes caused by the transfer of my sample from the doc's ofc to the lab....... Even with these precautions, my tests have to be re-done at least once a year due to an error....... it happens.
He recently took a drug test (urine and blood) to prove I'm taking it. My last dose was the night before my test. I tested negative for any drugs!!! He took away my prescription and I'm now left with the back pain that affects my work. What can I do? I don't understand why it didn't show up in the tests????? Thanks for your help......
It is almost impossible for an addict to come clean with everything all at once. A urine test will tell it all as subutex does not show on urine test. But I would be pissed if my wife asked me to ****. I am clean for 14 days.
You can't do that and that is reason enough to stop this madness right now. Are they doing a urine test in 10 days? We can't tell you how to pass it but I think it's safe to tell you that if you stop the pills now, you'll be fine.
I was taking vicodin for a severe tooth ache, after this I became addicted, I enjoyed the high. I took about 4 tablets a day for about 2 months and I was on it on off after that. Now I have stopped, it has a week since I last took my last vicodin. Anxiety and insomnia kicked in right away. It got better about the fifth day but I had an anxiety and nervousness attack on my seventh day. Is this normal, will this go away or will the anxiety always peak in.
I took 5 vics for just 1 day and had to take a urine test 9 days later, will the test show clean?I only took them 1 time, none before or after that.
telling me nothing is wrong with me and probable $700 bill to pay. They ran all sorts of blood and urine testing, and gave me a prescription for Vicodin for pain. My symptoms are as below; mass amounts of White half moon shaped flakes in urine, test for uti-neg. They x-rayed lower; showing nothing, I could not have them do a CT, I can't afford it. I have severe rt.FLANK pains, low grade fever daily, and many attacks which appear to gall bladder, but no pain as you press into that area.
It is my understanding that Suboxone is used to help an addict get off of prescription pills, so why would a doctor say this? He is trying to get Vicodin from someone, saying he needs to have a urine test and it has to come up that he is using in order for him to get the Suboxone. If he comes up clean, they won't give it to him. Does this sound correct? Or is he just trying to pull the wool over her eyes?
I had brain tumor surgery 7 months ago and started with the Vicodin/Tylenol daily and now just take Tylenol and Neurontin daily. How bad is it to take Tylenol daily for 7 months ? Can this cause liver damage?
They dont tell you they drug test.. When your at the hospital they will do a urine sample on you like usual and they will check the baby in the nursery... and no issues will be talked through with you, and its mandatory in all states if your receiving govt assistant..
this is my first post on here and i am pretty ashamed that it has come to this. i have been taking vicodin 10/660's on and off for the past few months. my tolerance has gotten so bad that this past week there were like 3 or 4 days i ended up taking 11 1/2 and one day even 12. i kinda started freaking out and i keep getting paranoid that i might have damaged my liver. there is no nausea or vomiting, but i've had this slight pinching in my right abdomen below my ribcage.
