vicodin

I have been taking vicodin 7.5/750 for several months and all the tylonel is starting to upset my stomach. Does anyone know the different strengths of vicodin so I can try something different?
Hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Tylenol) is the generic name for Vicodin, Vicodin ES, Anexsia, Lorcet, Lorcet Plus, Norco. I hope you'll share some about you and your pain condition. We'll look forward to hearing more from you.
Thank You All, It's wierd how the only meds I would ever take regulary were my DOC's... i never could stay in another habit of taking multi-vitamins regularly... don't know why.. kinda wierd. So i'm afraid that if i make this complicated, & its not my DOC that I WANT, then i won't follow thru. So, trying to keep it simple... I assume if i start out with just taking the L-Tyrosine in the AM with B6.. this should be good for now?
I think I have always known that I have an addiction but when I went through 26 vicodin hp's in 4 days, I think I really realized how bad the problem is. I can't afford a detox program or a treatment center. I have been off them for only two days and the withdrawls are hell. How long do they last and what is the best way to deal with them?
How do I wean myself off a 2 year 4 pill a day vicodin habit without going into treatment? Kicked booze once cold turkey but this one is tough. Don't want my grown kids to know, and my husband is very ill, so this has to be a private battle with the help of this site. Any really good over the counter stuff I can use? I have celexa from several years ago but it gave me the creeps so I quite taking it.

First off I must commend everyone for dealing with this horrible addiction and doing their best to beat it. I've been taking vicodin for almost 2 years now and I must say I'm watching myself go down the drain. It all started with the dentist prescribing me about 20 pills to buying 100 at a time on the street. Just today my girlfriend said to me "I can't even think of the time where you went from buying 10 pills to buying 100 at a time." I can't tell you how much I want off.
I need some help, I have been trying to come off vicodin for about a week now. Every time I stop, the first day or two I cant sleep. So I go out to find vicodin so I can sleep. I take about 10 a day of the 7.5. I called the Doc and he was going to put me on suboxen??. I cant afford it. Does any one know how long it will be before I can sleep. Is there any sleeping pills that help. Would xanax help?
I have been taking Vicodin/Tylenol 3 for a long time and am going to stop today. I am planning to incorporate accupuncture, massage, steam bath, herbal supplements, homeopathy, and nutritional supplements. I have not tapered down. Some of what I have read regarding the withdrawl is really scary. Is it absolute that it is going to be hell? Is it possible to get through it in 4-5 days? Is there a forum here in which you can talk to someone? I would really appreciate some feedback.
When I was younger, I almost died from being given analgesics (not sure which kind), so I have never taken painkillers. Still, at 2 points in my adult life I have taken vicodin without incident. The last time was recently, and it has me thinking that I could take some kinds of painkiller. Vicodin is acetominophen and hydrocodone, and Tylenol is also acetominophen.
ADELPHI, Md. - Government experts say prescription drugs like Vicodin and Percocet that combine a popular painkiller with stronger narcotics should be eliminated because of their role in deadly overdoses. A Food and Drug Administration panel on Tuesday voted 20-17 that prescription drugs that combine acetaminophen with other painkilling ingredients should be pulled off the market.
Lowering my vicodin dosage and wondering if any one knows any good methods to tapper off of vicodin. Been taking 7.5 for a while and no I will not steal or take drugs from my friends.
As I said, I had never taken Vicodin before, and I was not aware of the ingredients. Acetametophen screws me up, and Ive never had hydrocodone, and certainly haven't mixed the two (which is what Vicodin is). Does anybody know anything about this topic? I tried to research what the effects I had meant, but was unable to find anything helpful. My question is, does anybody have any idea what happened? Obviously I had a bad reaction, but perhaps theres more to it.
It is always wise to make sure none of the recipe ingredients or procedures conflict with medications you may be taking. Likewise, if you have any medical condition, disease, allergy or any other health issue, consult your doctor before using the recipe. Thanks, Thomas This recipe is designed for cold turkey opiate detox. It assumes that you can get about 5 to 7 days away from your job or household responsibilities during which you can sleep, veg and act as miserable as you feel.
When taking a urine test, can they detect whether you've taken a Norco hydrocodone or a Vicodin hydrocodone? Aren't those just brand names or generic names? PLEASE HELP!!!!
I wasn't always one. It started off fine. I would get prescribed Vicodin after having dental work done, and would be excited to have the drug "for fun" (it never really helped with pain...I prefer ibuprofen...but it made me feel good). The 20 or so pills in the prescription would last about a week or so, and I'd never look back. I wasn't addicted. However, for the past six months, things have began changing. I met the wrong kind of person. Someone who sells the stuff.
I have chronic migraines, and my doctors think it's related to stress and anxiety. They put me on Vicodin for the pain while waiting for a drug called "Topamax" to kick in, which takes a few months, and when it did it only dulled them and lowered the frequency. Because of that, I was on Vicodin for about 5-6 months before I started recognizing signs of tolerance.
Im a single mom, who happened to get blindsided with vicodin addiction. I have no insurance and despirately need to kick this crappy habbit. Now, I do between 30-40 325/5s, daily. Im down to ten in my kiddy. Im refusing to buy anymore. What can i do to control these detox cravings and pain? How can I make it thru the day? I also have 10 clomazapin, i hear this helps... can you buy SUBOXONE online? or do you need a script? Do you recommend weening off, or stopping cold turkey?
I stopped taking my script of Vicodin 5 days ago. I was taking 2- 2 1/2 a day due to back pain. I used to take them off and on but the last couple of months my back pain has gotten worse. Just typing this I am in severe pain but I am dealing with it. I made the decision to stop since I realized the Vicodin was not working anymore and I did not want to be an individual that ends up taking a huge amount. I thought only individuals that take a huge amount go through withdrawals.....boy was I wrong.
I cant thank you all enough for helping me through it.Without the otc ingredients I am not sure I would have made it. Since it was not as bad as I had thought, I am thinking i can take one or two vicodin just for the discomfort, legitimate pain. Maybe i won't become addicted if I keep the dose at a minimum.
Hello: My daughter just confided in me tonight that she is having a problem with vicodin. She was prescribed this pain killer for a back problem two years ago and is apparently taking seven pills a day. I am ignorant with all of this and am looking for some advice. She is 27,very scared, and said she tried to stop but had many side effects. She has no health insurance at this time so going to a private health center would not be an option. She is petrified and I am heart broken for her.
Hi, I hope someone can help me and give me some advice. I am a closet vicodin dependant and am sick of it. I have Lupus and had started taking vicodin 750mg on occassion for my muscle and joint pains. I realized that not only did the vicodin take away my pain, but it also gave me energy which I NEVER have when I am in a flare or not feeling well. I also have a toddler who runs me ragged....So, for the past 6-7 months (maybe even longer), I started taking the Vicodin everyday just for the energy.
I absolutely cant miss time at work and my job is extremely important for me right now. Recently i found someone with some vicodin 750s and i have some of those. I have been doing 2 or three of those a day for the past few days and not any oxy's at all. Im hoping that going to a couple vicodins a day will make the withdrawals much more manageable. With the vicodins i dont really get 'high" or anything, but I dont feel the need to get the oxys.
This week I am on about 560 mg of Vicodin, and having troubl;e sleeping.,. but doesn't it have to be done sooner or later? I am kinda of confused about how fast I should go??? Except for the sleep, the worst physical symptoms are over. Constipated, diarrea, some anxiety..but the sleep lack is horrible to me. I guess my question is....is it ok to use 1.25mg of Ativan while I get off the Vicodin and the Soma asap???? My first time on this board....
I've been taking about 6 Vicodin a day for over & year & now I'm out. What will the withdrawal be like? Anything I can do as far as over the counter products or easy to obtain herbal or natural remedies? Please answer fast.
i really just need support, people telling me i can do this!!! i will look at the thomas withdrawl ingredients and stock up. if i can't do this, i have promised myself i will tell my family so i can possibly check myself in. you are so right about finding out why i do this. i use to be in counseling and i think i will start that back up again. i need to slay the demons that make me want to stay high!!!
I am a 40 yr old male and I have been taking 2-4 Vicodin a day for the past three years. A medical doctor prescribed it for me after it was discovered I suffered bone degeneration in my lower 2 disk vertebrea. At the time I thought little of taking a prescription painkiller. Now after my first 6 days of no longer taking Vicodin I am realizing how powerful of a substance it actually is. I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect.
