THE SAME DAY AND FILLED IT I CANT STAND THIS PAIN ANY MORE ........ PLEASE HELP ME .......IS THIS NORMAL TO NOT SLEEP. EAT, AND POP SO MANY PILLS FOR RELIFE??? OR DO I NEED TO RETURN TO MY DENTIST?????HELP ME PLEASE........

Recommendation for missed PI dose is if within 4 hrs of normal dosing time to go ahead and take it and return to normal dosing schedule if more than 4 hrs skip it and return to normal dosing schedule

t think I am blaming YOU for the poor dosing schedule you have been given! We need to learn as we go but the docs are supposed to pay attention or employ others to do it for them. I'm sorry your trust was violated by some combo of doctors who let you down. Sadly, when you call about a new prescription you may also need to request some blood work be ordered to check on your liver function.

While it's ok to talk about it, we can't not allow people to give tapering schedules, dosing info, etc., as only a doctor can do that. It helped me to start by taking a half pill a day so I would still be taking the same dosing schedule but with less overall pill intake, hope that makes sense. The taper does lessen the detox when it does come. For me anxiety was a HUGE issue, and I did get some help from my Dr. to calm my nerves which made the transition smoother. My doctor suggested monitoring for the first 24 hours after my first shot for when the onset of any side effects occured and then adjusting when i gave myself the shot so that the onset or most of the "WORST" of the sx occured while I was sleeping. Will a urine test know what class 2 schedule drugs are being taken whether an oxy or vicodin? I have a script for 10 mg vicodin but ran out and friend let ke take a 5mg oxy for my pain till script coupd be refilled...i then took a urine test..both meds re a class 2 schedule so will the urine test know the difference?

I also noted some commenting that they are dosing two - three times per day. I am not a doctor and cannot recommend dosing, but the halflife with sub is nearly 40 hours and dosing once per 24 hours is more than enough, taking more than once per days is a mute point because it does not help with the drug taking behavior what so ever. Yeah, sorry about any possible miscommunication. The Incivek dosing schedule of three times a day has to to do with the relatively short half-life of Incivek. Taking each dose with 20 grams of fat has to do with increasing absorption & bioavailability. Even though someone's doctor may have said otherwise it would be helpful to provide the Incivek Product Monograph to show the dosing schedule has changed.

Nucynta is very very similar to Ultram only much stronger and it is a controlled substance...more so than the Vicodin (a schedule II vs. schedule III). This is because the FDA realized that the statements the drug maker of Ultram made were false. They stated it was non-narcotic and had no addiction potential when it most certaintly does. But based on pharmacology, the Vicodin is stronger than Ultram which is why you are in significantly more pain.

Honestly, I would just skip it and resume your normal dosing schedule in the am. You are on a every 12 hour schedule, and it would be one thing if it were just off by a little, but you are off by 6, 7 hours.. Not that it would harm you in any way, but you may end up with a few unpleasant side effects, especially since you're dosing twice daily. If you find yourself frequently forgetting to take a dose...then find a way to remind yourself.

Oycodone is in a different class of drugs than Vicodin. Vicodin is a Schedule III drug and Oxycodone is a Schedule II drug. It is stronger than Vicodin and probably the reason your doctor prescribed it rather than the hydrocodone (vicodin) is because oxycodone is available in a pure form without acetominophen in it. Hydrocodone is not.

Recently I went to my dr hoping to get off vicodin and suggested tramadol because I thought it was a narcotic.
