I was taking 20 M360 vicodin per day for about a year for pain in my wrist and arm. I cannot stand the worry of not having enough and going to different doctors to keep myself with a comfortable amount all the time. I went to a detox for one night and didn't like it so I came home with the help of family I have been weaning myself off them. I went to taking like 6 a day now and still feel sick but not like cold turkey.

So as far as your addiction goes in my opinion that is not a high dosage of pills to come off of, and also Vicodin is one of the easier ones to detox from(only compared to say tramadol, oxycontin, kadian, fentnyl patches, methadone) I was taking as much as 400mg-even as high as 600mg or more of oxycodone in a 24 hour period and then do it day after day until I would run out. Trust me that is the gods honest 100% truth. But enough of me, DETOXING IS DETOXING!

I posted earlier about some unusual experiences with sub but didn't give any details. My doc recommended me take either 4mg or 8 to start. I was in mild WDs, so I said I'll take 8 to make sure it would get me off those. He agreed, and said if i need more two hours later, take another. Anyway, to make a long story short, I ended up extremely sick the next day.

ive been taking vicodin for a surgury which took place two days ago its a minor surgury so im going back to work tomorrow, i was wondering if i took a vicodin tonight {its about nine pm] will i have a hangover tomorrow when i have to be up for work ay 730 am?

After a second knee surgury this year, I am having trouble getting off the 375 miligarms dose 3 x a day. No, with fentanyl on board you will have no withdrawal symptoms from the vicodin. However, it takes two or three days for the fentanyl to reach a steady dosage in your bloodstream, so you may need to overlap with the vicodin a bit as your body gets used to the change. Hi! Congratulations! Yes, it is safe to take Vicodin while pregnant. As with anything else during pregnancy however, the less the better. Take only the minimum dosage that alleviates the pain, and take it only when plain Tylenol and other methods haven't worked. One other thing about the combination of Vicodin and pregnancy is that it is a real set up for constipation! So watch out for that! Good luck!

I have been taking 5-6 Vicodin, 5-6 Phenergan, 5-6 Vistiril and sometimes 1-2 Elavil every day for more than a year for pain and nausea. I guess I am just confused because I don't feel addicted to them because they help me too much. When i dont take them I am in way too much pain to function. My question is that I am supposed to be having surgery so the pain will stop but will i still feel the need to take all these meds?

I was prescribed anti-depressants along with vicodin, but the vicodin became my anti-depressant and I started abusing it, which led to more problems. Just a word of caution.

I have Fibromyalgia and was stable for some time on a low dose of Vicodin. I got an inplant last fall for pain in the occipital region of my brain. A "Occipital Neuromodulation" stimulator. can a pharmacist call a dentist that wrote a prescription for Vicodin and tell him that i am taking suboxone,i thought that addiction problems were confidential. She never came and spoke t me, to find out if I had worked something out with the doctor that prescribes the medication. i have taken vicodin for about 10 years now. I have never increased the dosage or abuse the med. my dr recently put me on tramadol which i'll try anything. i am to take 2 tramadol twice daily or as needed along with 800 mg ibuprofen twice daily. i have not found any resolve with this medication (i have been on it 2 weeks). i also have not had any typical withdrawl symptoms from stopping the vicodin. i have degeneration of my t3 and t4 vertebre and spinal rotation and of course subluxation.

Can someone please discribe as best they can what OPIATE TROTS!!! are. I'm coming off my Vicodin now and am feeling like im buzzing in the brain. Or better yet i feel like i'm having minnie explotions going off in my brain. Has anyone else ever had this feeling? and is this feeling OPIATE TROTS!!

m wondering if anyone has any insight or opinion as to whether taking a low dosage of Vicodin over a long period of time could cause Tinnitus to worsen or if Tinnitus is caused more so by a large intake of Vicodin at once? I have never taken more than one 500mg pill in any one day during that time. Also, is Vicodin induced Tinnitus something that can be reversed if the person stops taking this medication? Would greatly appreciate any feedback. Have a great new year's everyone.

Not so much about an addiction problem I have but more about some concerns. I've been on some pain meds for a back problem for a while now, so I do have some tolerance, but today was a particularly bad day after recovering from surgery. I've been on Vicodin (about 3-6 a day for about a year now) and then a month or so on Oxycodone after spinal surgery.

Hi, Ive been taking vicodin for about 2 to 3 months now almost everyday. I usually try not go go over the 4,000mg of acetaminophen a day. However i sometimes take up to 2,500 mg of acetaminophen at once. Now i always year people say the max apap dosage is 4,000 mg per day. But nobody says what the body can handle at one time. So basically what i'm wondering is.... Does anybody think its possible that i've damaged my liver beyond repair??
