Vicodin and zoloft

Common Questions and Answers about Vicodin and zoloft

vicodin

Avatar m tn I thought you had detoxed off the Vicodin? It's hard to say if it will or not? Zoloft is a brain altering drug for the deppression because it works on the serotonin in your brain. Vicodin also alters the brain but on different receptors,so I don't think it would help mentally with Zoloft withdrawls.
Avatar m tn Today I took 1 Vicodin (Labeled M367, 10/325 norco) I took my last Zoloft 14 days ago. I was on 50 mg Zoloft. I took my first Zoloft pill on December 19, 2014 and I took my last Zoloft pill on January 19, 2015. I'm currently going through Zoloft withdrawals and have many of the typical Zoloft withdrawal symptoms. I was just wondering if taking a Vicodin will interfere with the recovery of my Zoloft withdrawal?
Avatar m tn I ask because I was addicted to Vicodin for a month and a half AFTER quitting Zoloft. I was taking 60-80mg of hydrocodone a day during that month and a half period. Would taking Vicodin weaken my body and prolong the withdrawal process from Zoloft?

Avatar f tn I take 150 mg of Zoloft, and I have taken the Vicodin for about 16 months and anywhere from 1-5 a day (10/325). I only take the Vicodin at night/evening.... Never during the day. This dizzy/shocky feeling starts when I would usually take the Vicodin. Thanks. When you experienced it with the antidepressant how long did it take to go away?
Avatar m tn I'm on zoloft and I sometimes take my moms vicodin/percocet for pain and I'm just wondering is it safe to take these combinations together? Basically: Zoloft+Vicodin= safe? Zoloft+Percocet= safe? Will the Vicodin or Percocet decrease the effects of the Zoloft? OR can it cause permanent brain damage? I took 2 Vicodin's a couple days ago and then took 1 Zoloft pill an hour later and I started to feel weird/loopy. Could I have caused permanent brain damage?

Avatar m tn s going on in your life that you need to come off Zoloft and start on tramodol without the support of a doctor. Not judging mind you but it may dictate to an answer when someone does respond to your question. I ask knowingly you may want some things to remain private and I respect that. At the same time I have to tell you that neither may be a good idea. Your messing with fire scarface. I wish you well...
Avatar f tn I am currently weaning myself off of Vicodin and Fentanyl. I am down to 4 vics a day and I have been off the fentanyl for five days. I just went down to 4 a day today. It is a rough day but I am getting through. I have read many emails and I see that depression is a big factor with coming off of the drugs and while being on them. I am on 50mg of Zoloft to help me deal with the depression I have due to my pain. Should I get off that as well?

Avatar f tn While I myself have not been on anti-depressants for my fibro, I understand that it is commonly done. I was on Vicoden for over three years, and now am getting good results with a 25 mcg Duragesic patch (change every three days) and Lyrica, 150 mcg twice daily. This is the most pain free I have been in recent memory. I hope that your regimen helps. This is a wonderful forum, and I am sure that there are many others who are going to share their thoughts.
Avatar n tn Up until last year I was taking 150mg of zoloft and occasional xanax. Before that I was on a myriad of SSRIs and Paxil was one that made me gain 40lbs in about 3 months. Last fall I asked if I could try wellbutrin instead and get off of the zoloft. I didn't like the fact that my sex drive was decreased and I hadn't lost the weight I had gained from the paxil. That was when I began to develop a chronic pain issue.
Avatar m tn 5 for 7 days, then 2.0 for 7 days etc. I am currently down to 1 a day. I am also taking Zoloft and Clonopin to help with the anxiety and depression. I made a call to Narcotic Anonymous, and was told that the 1st day I take 0 Vicodin, I will have the same withdrawals symptoms as if I had been taking 10 a day, and quit cold turkey. Is that true?
Avatar f tn It is actually harder to detox from tramadol than from a shorter acting opiates like Vicodin. Please beware and read my blog on tramadol and especially the comments on it. But, seriously, you must be completely committed to the goal of quitting. I have written a blog that has rather detailed information about options for detox. If you click on my name and then click on blogs you will see one under that heading. Take a minute to read it. I hope you will find it helpful.
Avatar f tn Took my last to vicodin June 3, 2011, on day 9. Didn't use methadone to get off this time, cold turkey(kinda). I am on perscribed Zoloft 200 mgs and clonazepam 3, 10 mg's a day. Feeling better get a script of 90 vic's June 17th, am afraid it will start all over..............I have a bad disc in my back. Started to feel like I was taking vic's just to feel normal,(up to 6 to 8, 750's a day for about 3 yrs.) When will I ever feel "NORMAL again???
Avatar f tn I have a long road ahead, coming off klonopin (already tapered by her) as well as vicodin, fioricet and now zoloft which has seemed to worsen my depression and maybe increased my drug use as self medication. I look forward to being complety clean so I can address the problems that got me into this horrible mess. Then start on treating myself in a healthy way and become my own success story :-) thanks again. You guys are angels. I'll pass it on by encouraging others.
Avatar n tn I have been reading this forum for about 2 weeks, this is my first post-3 yrs ago I broke my hip/femur, I have been taking vicodin since then. I became very depressed and started taking Zoloft (antidipressant) and Ambien (sleep med)about 11 months after the accident.I now have hip arthritis. I have had a chroinc stomach ache starting 1.5 years ago. I was also drinking about 3-4 glasses of wine every evening. I never took more than 6 Vicodins in a day.Usually about 2 or 4.
Avatar n tn I am taking zoloft and gabapentin.
Avatar f tn I still have the headaches, I can work through them, but by about mid-day I notice a tenseness and ache around the top of my head. I take Vicodin about 2-3 times a week, but I don't like that due to the addiction potential.
Avatar f tn Im not taking anything EXTRA to help with the detox. Just my regular meds which are zoloft and a xanax at bedtime.. I was scared to use the Thomas recipe because I am on zoloft and wasnt sure about the interactions! Oh yeah, I can definitely hear my heartbeat in my head... Im lying around in bed right now and pulse rate is 119 RESTING!!!! This is driving me CRAZY!!!! Enemy, what anti-inflam are you referring to??
Avatar f tn I've been taking 0.25mg of Ativan four times a day for about 6 weeks for anxiety. I haven't taken any for 4 days and feels really anxious and am having trouble sleeping. I also take Vicodin 5/500 1/2 tab 2-4 times a day. I was also taking that for anxiety. I'm still taking the Vicodin hoping that it will help me get off Ativan. I'm really scared by all the stuff I've read about Ativan and wish I'd never started it.I guess my question is: Will I feel better soon?
Avatar f tn Hello all. It is day 12 and boy was it rough. I had a swift and complete breakdown today. I LOST IT! Panic attack from hell then just got really depressed and started crying and apologizing to my poor husband for over an hour for everything I've put him through these last 2 weeks. Bless his precious little heart. He just hugged me sand held me and told me it was alright and don't worry, things will get better.
Avatar m tn I was a no call no show to my pain management doctor last month after taking 60 vicodin and almost having respiratory failure being I was hardly able to breathe for two days and decided it was time to do something about it. I don't want to die but after all this time I feel like I can handle the day to day quanity. I rescheduled today for two weeks from now.
Avatar n tn i am 22 and a college student and I have had a serious problem getting off vicodin after 1 year and 4 months. They have tricked me into thinking they are my bestfriend. I have been trying to get off for a month and i'm yet to cut down, im starting to think this will be a long process. I have been hooked on something since i was 17 it has been a downward spiral, i cant even feel normal anymore without something.
Avatar n tn I know many of you are going to quit cold turkey from vicodin and/or other painkillers. I wanted to share some information. In most states, including California, a hospital CANNOT turn away a patient who seeks care. Although they may try to bill the patient, in the event the patient does not have insurance or funds to pay for treatment, some university hospitals offer a free or sliding scale payment option.
Avatar n tn I think Bupropion is Wellbutrin, an anti-depressant. I'm not really sure about it having the same effect as vicodin, but it could help if you're feeling depressed. I took wellbutrin as a teenager along with zoloft, and it worked well for me back then. I don't know much else about it other than that and I don't know your situation, but I hope it works for you!
Avatar f tn I have been having really bad anxiety on and off. The Dr. gave me Zoloft and it seems to have helped with my anxiety. But as it is I have a very hard time getting restful sleep. When I do sleep I have ongoing dreams and my mind doesn't get any rest. Now with the Zoloft my sleep is much less restful. Any suggestions?
