but in my personal experience, thats all that vicodin does, too. vicodin makes me violently ill and i found that ibuprofen, tylenol and asprin all worked better than the vicodin...but i talked to my doc first, which is what you should do.

was only on the Tylonol 3 for like 10 days and the dentist put me back on the vicodin...i know at first i was on a bit more of vicodin and it made me feel up.maybe its all the stress in my life but i feel kinda down and not much energy.Im also kinda gripey..could be the tooth pain its been going on for years and my dentist cant seem to find the reason. Still i want off the pain pills..do u know what i should expect if i just stop them cold turkey.

Its almost similiar, I did not believe him, he told me take 1000 mg of ibuprofen and 500 mg of motrin together and bigger than all get out it worked just as well if I took a couple of vicodin. It really does work and its so much cheaper, the walmart brand is the best. Good luck with your teeth....

Hi Sparx, Did a little reseach on drugs vicodin and norco, under norco could find nothing in side effects for sex, but under vicodin there just sai altered sex drive, and that was it, so is after taken this that you some good erections, so which one then? Hypoglycsmic, does this mean your a diobetic? Do you mean ejculation or orgasm, as there is a differance?

The only thing that worked for me was alternating Tylenol and Advil (same as Motrin) every 2 - 3 hours per my gynecologist. Try to stay away from the Vicodin... It causes muscle spasms which will make your cramping worse when it wears off. Heating pad and relaxing helps a lot too.

Agreed - I've had work done and so has my hubby and all we needed was Motrin 800 mg and it worked great.

I am concerned that I will not be able to keep my arms over my head for the simulation. I was thinking of taking a motrin and an hr. later, a Vicodin, which I have for the tendonitis when it's really bad. Obviously I'd be getting a ride to and from the simulation. Since the simulation includes a CT scan, would that be ok?

t be scared,though. Take 800mg of Motrin 3x per day. Take a very hot bath and just soak. It really helps. Keep forcing fluids!

My primary care dentist extracted tooth #30 last Tuesday. The dentist gave me stitches and told me to return in a week to remove them, but by Friday I was in excruciating pain. Motrin 800 ml did not work and Vicodin made me sicker, so I'm back on Motrin 800 ml. The dentist treated me for dry socket that Friday and gave me a Rx for Amoxicillen. The pain did not improve over the weekend so on Monday I returned to her office only for her to remove the stitches and restitch me all over again.

I adided them I am a Crack cocain addict and they told me to take it at bed ime and Moltrin during the day. A week later I relapsed and can not explain why or what happened ? I am clean today refused Vicodin. No urges or cravings now...

Hi I had C5-C6 ACDF (bone from bone bank) w/plate and screws on 1/28/08. I was prescribed Robaxin 750 for muscle spasms. Upon my first follow up vist to my neurosurgeon on 2/7/08, he, at that time also prescribed 800mg Motrin 3x per day. I have read EVERYWHERE on the web that NSAID's prevent fusion. Will this happen to me? I am a 43 yr old female and before this accident happened (6/20/07) that caused the injury, I was an extremely healthy individual.

I am currently on Lyrica and take an occassional Vicodin for the pain. What kind of exercise can I do that will not increase any damage or pain in my thigh? I want to lose some weight and would like to know what you would recommend.

And I am eating 3 meals and 3 snacks a day and no the snacks are NOT vicodin LOL another amazing thing is I have my pupils back and my dark circles are slowly disappearing. You may require another type of pain medication along with the Motrin like Percocet or Vicodin. This can help alleviate some of the cramping you will experience. Take care of yourself Sweetheart.

alternate between tyl and an NSAID take 2 tyl's two hours later take an NSAID it will help with the pain and the swelling what bone did you break... I have worked in hand therapy for 6 years as a therapist..

so far its been 30 hours and I tried some of the suggestions on Thomas recipe and I think they work. I am takin over the counter pain killers (as directed) Naparson, and motrin, mixing that with ativan and soma to help sleep. I hope tomorrow is better. Good luck too all my brothers and sister addicts out there, i never thought this would be me.I hope I lose the calling of the pills soon. I am so scared I will use again. One big help is I have a counseler.

well i just got done playing basketball and i feel much better now physically and mentally but my hip is killin me and i tried an extra strength ibuprofen but do you think if i took just 1 of the 5mg hydrocodone that i would have any withdrawal from it i mean im not abusing it im using as directed and itd help me sleep tonight

Bella is just over a week old and the cramping just stopped for me in the last two days. Are you taking motrin? Motrin and a heating pad really seem to help. I even got a script for vicodin from my dr for when it was so bad that I couldn't get out of bed. Hang in there it should be better any day now.

I take Motrin if i need something. My pain got better too after i stopped the pain meds. Hopefully this will be the case with you too.

Can anyone please tell me what Meloxicam is? I was prescribed this after my recent neck surgery and have to pick it up tonight. Are there are addictive qualities to it? I just had my baby on the 3rd and I am currently breastfeeding. The doctor prescribed me vicodin 10/325's and they were supposed to be Norco's. Well I took them assuming they were Norco's and my baby was sleeping a lot more and seemed slightly loopy. Needless to say I am no longer taking them and my baby is better. With that said I am curious as to what pain medicine would be safe to take while breastfeeding?

So I am on day 5 from Vicodin withdrawals and still hurting. I've been taking them daily for maybe 5 years, varying amounts I had a script for both 500mg & 750mg which I would stagger so I'd have at least 2 a day. This is the first time I've been prepared to live my life without them and it's a constant struggle not to snap at the people around me. That and the tiredness has been the worst for me.

What a wonderful thing. I sleep good now and feel great! I have had alot of posts on aftercare and have told people that I have none. I am doing this on my own. My PCP knows not to give me any narcotics and my 2 dealers were told not to sell them to my anymore. I took my own action to end this once and for all. All I can say, it can be done. I have no need for those pills anymore. I am a stronger person now! Peace to all on your journey.

My dentist always says to take Benadryl 25mg and Motrin 800mg along with the pain med. Put a heating pad near your ear and alternate or a warm towel. Call your oral surgeon in the morning so you can be seen. Don't worry!

Tell them that you would prefer medication that is not opiate-based. Ask them for plenty of Motrin 800's and ask them to load your mouth with a numbing agent... I had all of my wisdom teeth pulled a long time ago and was given a hefty prescription of Vicodin... This was back before I had such a love for those little f***ers... And that script sat in my medicine cabinet for MONTHS and then I remember throwing it away one day...

They had me on dilaudid in the hospital and since being home I have achy pains in my wrist and ankles as well as the surgery pains. I told them about my battle with vicodin so they sent me home with Valium. Does that make any sense what so ever? The Valium just makes me feel icky and I'm wondering it the annoying joint pain is from my brain telling me I am having withdrawals. O goodness what a mess!!

s of people will use advil during the withdrawal, but it can cause stomach upset and burning...and when your stomach is already not feeling well from withdrawal, it might be best to stick with tylenol. I don't think it would trigger anything...I've used it during my withdrawls to help with the back pain, and have had no problems.

The Dr says he has patients that take as many as 6 per day. I have taken 8 in a day but I can go days without any if I stay off my feet and have no withdrawal. Am I addicted? I am afraid of them but my feet hurt so bad. I am afraid if I tell the Dr my concerns he will take them away and then I won't be able to do anything that requires being on my feet. Can you advise me?

I was addicted to Vicodin for years and since have been through rehab and doing well. I am supposed to have a surgery to fix my knee replacement and my Dr. wants to prescribe me Vicodin again only having a family member monitor the dosage.
