Ive tried viagra and cialis. Viagra did nothing, cialis maybe 50% of the time. We love each other very much and are both very commited and faithful. We have tried EVERYTHING. Viagra is intended to assist men in getting and maintaining an erection. I have this problem of going soft right in the middle of the performance. I used to be great earlier, may be age is catching up. I understand that Viagra is good option but I have this fear of side effects (may be unfounded but still a fear), and I have history of drug reactions.

Since then I have taken it when I hooked up with a girl in anticipation of sex( i was put on viagra around 2 months ago) and for whatever reason, to be fair not my own doing, I have not got to a situation to have sex (eg she had work early, no place to go, etc). Try to help him with that. His penis retraction has nothing to do with his drinking problem. Does he get morning erections or at other times? You don't mention his age. He should avoid Viagra at this time and consider other options. If he is overweight, that can give the appearance of penis retraction.

I can't second guess your physician; however, I'd be very careful with Viagra and high blood pressure. There are no herbal supplements that are effective. None have been certified as such by the FDA.
As to why you're sometimes having erections and sometimes not: blood pressure highly affects blood flow to your penis, and that's what creates an erection. So if there's any medical condition that inhibits blood flow, this will affect your erection.

I'd go to an AA meeting and see if someone who can relate will give you advice. The meetings are only an hour, its worth it if you're questioning your decisions.
From what I know about antibiotics, it is not ok to drink beer or any alcohol with Doxycycline. It diminishes the effectiveness of the drug and makes it harder to treat the infection. Viagra will prolong your erection but I’ll suggest you to consult your physician before starting on Viagra and rule out certain important diseases like hypertension, coronary artery disease before starting on Viagra. Viagra can cause hypotension (low BP) and can tend to worsen hypertension and coronary artery disease.

Ive been taking it usually a couple times a week. Last couple times I took it it dindnt work very well. Is there a tolerance build up to viagra?
