Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar m tn This, in turn, affects the blood pressure and can possibly contribute to the development of an abnormal heart rate, a stroke or a heart attack. Hence it should be used only under medical supervision. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Avatar n tn Hi! I am a 56 yr. old, slight build female. In 2007 I had a heart attack during an exercise class, and one of my arteries received 6 drug-eluting stents. I have not felt really well since (middle chest pain, left scapula pain, and angina, especially during emotional stress) despite several tests which showed my heart to be in very good condition and "completely" healed. Pain does not occur with physical exertion.
Avatar m tn d like to add that I am looking for an alternative to Viagra since Viagra has dangerous side effects. I never read the leaflet of a drug as dangerous as Viagra.
Avatar m tn If sex toys cannot help you, it is Viagra to the rescue! It is amazing how Viagra helped me. I expected to see and feel the side-effects of Viagra. I did see blue lights, my sinuses got gloggy, and I had a mild case of heartburn, but nothing too severe to stop taking Viagra. I found that the pill took about 40 to 45 minutes to get me ready. If your doctor recommends Viagra, be sure to buy Viagra from a pharmacy. Hundreds of online ads say get Viagra cheap.
Avatar m tn These medications increase blood flow to the penis by inhibiting the enzyme phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). The most common side effects of Viagra and the other PDE5 inhibitors are flushing and headache. PDE5 drugs can cause dangerously low blood pressure if they are taken with nitroglycerin or other nitrate medications that are used to treat chest pain and heart disease. In patients that cannot tolerate PDE5 inhibitors there are other treatments available.
1608566 tn?1298196868 I think they have enough to put up with having the heart attack with out drugs that make you feel worse. Did it take you long to get used to them.
Avatar f tn When I had a second one in late 2006, I went back to my doctor who ran an EKG and an Echo and found that my heart was fine. That attack seemed to be caused by a strange sensation of my throat closing and difficulty swallowing when it really wasn't. After the doctor ruled out any heart issues, he suggested that it might be stress. I've had a few more since then but they haven't been nearly as bad since I now know what they are.
Avatar m tn It had some very bad side effects, including those you described, depression, panic attack, gum bleeding, constipation, etc. My Neuro gave me Viagra for a couple of months. I changed to Depakote and all those side effects went away. My sex drive becomes better than ever (no Viagra anymore).
Avatar n tn I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs. I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.
Avatar f tn Recently had a EKG (actually two) and it suggested a prior mild heart attack. I am scheduled by my cardiologist for a nuclear stress test. I was questioned about any chest pains and could remember none. However, I do remember that my dentist a number of yrs. ago, injected novocaine and I had a terrible reaction, shakiness , flushed and having a difficult time breathing. The doctor said sometime the injection will go straight into my blood system and cause this .
Avatar f tn As soon as i stopped taking it, the muscle pain went away but then despite daily exercise, diet and supplements like Fish Oil, garlic and Policosanol, my numbers went up again as shown by my latest blood test. My doctor told me it is a matter of priorities. Which is more risky, having a stroke or heart attack due to the very high cholesterol or experiencing severe mucle pain due to the side effect of the Statin. I don't want both of them!
Avatar m tn too well almost with unwanted erections, and i had nasty side effects. 50mg worked better for me, i could have sex a couple of times the night i took it. The only downside is spontaneity!, we always feel we are against the clock, cant eat and let things be natural. So, i spoke to the doc who has given me 20mg cialis. Question is, i want to avoid side effects as much as possible, but to have the product work.. can anyone advise what dosage of cialis is equivalent to 50mg viagra?
Avatar f tn Trimix is a combination of alprostadil, phentolamine and papaverine. Treatment with Trimix comes with some long term side effects. Mild pain, scarring and fibrosis are the common side effects. I would suggest that you visit a urologist to assess the dose requirements in your case. Best.
Avatar n tn If you go to the hospital in the next few hours, they can run a troponin blood test which will inform them if it was a heart attack or not, even if you have no pains now.
581954 tn?1223391496 I can tell you when i worry, i get the runs too. if i continue to worry, i get the full on Panic Attack with heart attack symptoms. It will take a few days to begin to feel some effects. It will take a couple/few weeks to get good effects and results. Hang in there.
Avatar n tn At that dose i really didnt feel like the side effects were worth what little Viagra did. i have also tried Cialis but nothing compares to lodenafil(its also called Helluva or Fhalenza. at 80mg this is not something that i would take every day!! i would not get anything done.
Avatar m tn There can be sexual side effects with SSRIs like Lexapro. I have never taken Viagra, so I would not be able to really share an experience with it. Taking an SSRI, usually does have some side effects and the benefits often have to be weighed with them. You are definitely doing the right thing, in my opinion, by working through this with your doctor.
Avatar m tn Are you able to check your blood pressure at home? One of the potential side effects of the med you're taking is sudden drop in blood pressure, and that correlates with the symptoms you describe.
Avatar n tn During the test, I got cold and white, was unable to function well, semi unconsciousness, tremors particularly on the right arm, speech slurred, headache in the temple and forehead, fatigue. After many attempts to clear me from these side effects, they gave me a the antidote to the medication that they used. Did I have a heart attack?
