Common Questions and Answers about Viagra and zoloft

viagra

Avatar n tn I'm currently on Zoloft. For only one full day!! And already i'm having the same problem i've had in the past with anti depressants. Lexapro prozak paxil ect...... Are the meds to counter this? Levitra? Viagra? I have no problem with erections. Does this effect wear off? Do i need to switch meds. This has the potential to be very embarrassing for me. Please help.
Avatar n tn I haven't taken any of the meds you're on, but I did have ED problems when I took Zoloft. It was either the Zoloft or the Atenolol for blood pressure. At any rate they gave me Levitra and I haven't been troubled by it since. I noticed the problem almost as soon as they started me on Zoloft. I'm not on Zoloft anymore but it isn't because of the ED. The levitra worked well for me.
Avatar f tn Another big concern I have with taking SSRI's is low libido. My poor husband...I just have NO interest when I am on my medication. Has anyone had any experience with this? What have you done. I've experienced this with Lexapro, and Zoloft. However, when I'm not taking medication, I'm too crazy for him to be interested in me.
Avatar m tn I am 64 yrs old male, have normal testosterone levels and cannot produce a firm erection or erection at all. Its been over a year since my wife and I tried to have sex. I could not sustain an erection even after taking Viagra. For the last 8 yrs I've been on sertralin(Zoloft),piroxicam(feldine)blood pressure med.and in the last 5 months tamsulosin. Could any of these medications be any part of my problem? I have the desire to have sex. What can I do?
Avatar m tn I switched off Welbutrin and back to Zoloft. I've had terrible nightmares on the Welbutrin and cut my zoloft in half for now. I am seeing my doctor in three weeks and I should be okay until then. I want to see if a smaller dose of zoloft will still relieve the depression and not be as much of a block to my creativity and my erections.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar f tn I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
Avatar m tn Ive also been tested for HIV so I know thats not an issue and I protect myself while having sex. But I think there may be a correlation between using viagra and my outbreaks. Any ideas?
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar m tn I do not believe this was caused by Viagra. It usually causes a vascular problem. The new onset of floater should be considered an urgent condition. It is may be associated with retinal tears and subsequent retinal detachment. Dr. O.
Avatar m tn Am I not a perfect candidate for something like Viagra?, and I can say with out doubt that I have erectile dysfunction or testrones deficiency?. What should I do ... very puzzled.
17995067 tn?1462167674 to the best of my knowledge, there is no such thing as generic Viagra. Viagra is a cash cow for Phiser, and ten years ago a SINGLE pill was 10 dollars, NOW a single bill is 30 Dollars. Every time the time period lapses for this drug to qualify for generic, they tie it up with paperwork-refile with a slight change to keep the generic out of it. If you are getting something from outside the us, it is likely not Viagra at all.
Avatar m tn I think the lack of libido is a side effect of the anti-depressant you are taking. I was on Zoloft about 9-10 years ago and it worked great except my physical desire was at minus 100. Mentally, I felt like doing it, but my body said no way not in a million years. It was extremely frustrating, worse than not having any desire at all. I understand why you would be depressed. You had a bunch of bad things thrown at you at the same time. I believe Hep C is treatable.
737515 tn?1252552423 t help with arousal or desire, just orgasm. Unfortunately they said there was no plan to market Viagra for this use. How stupid. I was on Zoloft and it killed my libido! Doctor said 50mg was not enough to do this. I went with Wellbutrin and xanax. Alls good now! Hope things work out!
Avatar m tn I don't have ED but I was curious if my erections could be stronger. I spoke with my doctor and tried Cialis and Viagra. Since they have much different half-lives, I thought I'd try the following: Taking 10-20 mg Cialis every 2-3 days, then taking 20-40 mg Viagra (generic sildenafil) before sexual activity. My questions isn't whether this is effective - it certainly is. But is there any risk to doing this? I moved so I don't have a doctor right now.
Avatar m tn He dilated both my eyes as I was not able to pinpoint the floaters and flashes and informed me that both my retinas looked absolutely fine with no holes, tears or hemorraghesor detachment. He did attribute my symptoms to PVD which he described might have been due to my inital trauma that caused some inflamation and subsequent liqufication of the vitreous gel. He informed me that I could continue my activites as normal.
Avatar f tn I am in my mid 40s, I have ED and peyronie disease and I am taking Viagra to help with my erections because staying hard has been a challenge for the last year. It works well and my wife is happy. Recently I have been curious about using a penis ring in conjunction with Viagra to make my orgasms more intense, however I am slightly worried that this could be dangerous given how Viagra increases blood flow and a ring cuts it off and also... peyronie disease. Is it safe?
Avatar n tn Took Viagra no problem went back on klonopin and luvox and didnt need viagra. Had another case of performance anxiety two years later and my obsessions started again. Used Viagra and then no problem.Met my wife 6 months ago again performance anxiety, took cialis and it worked until I made a decision to try celexa for two weeks and I dont know if it was my anxiety or fear or did it really kill my sex drive. Viagra or Cialis didnt work. Went back on Luvox up to 150mg and Neurontin 300mg 2x a day.
