Common Questions and Answers about Viagra and related drugs

viagra

Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar m tn That is because Viagra was a mixture of compounds put together in a drug company to give help to angina sufferers, but the very noticeable side effect was seen. However, they re-branded it for the purpose we see today.
16087137 tn?1445209323 I started taking Viagra with a prescription after my prostate cancer surgery about two years ago. It really worked well but wasn't covered under my new insurance at all after I retired and I think a months supply from Walgreens or CVS (my local pharmacies) cost around $3-$400 per month. I'm not making alot of money right now, and when I mentioned that to my Dr. he unofficially assured me about generic versions made in Canada, that can legally ship to the US.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar n tn Definitely check in with your health care provider before using viagra and heart medication. Viagra was accidentally discovered to work for ED when being studied for it's affects on the heart. They always ask you if you are taking this. Men taking ED medications can not take nitrates as a general rule.
Avatar f tn I am 53 year old and type 2 diabetic, I take Insulin twice daily. Other medications are metformin 500mg twice daily, Lisinopril 40mg(morning), Trazodone 50. Recently I take tadalafil 10mg and my blood sugar goes very low. I also tried 2.5mg daily at night, again my blood sugar goes very low. I wear a freestyle libre patch. What medications are interacts with tadalafil? Is Viagra will be safe for me?
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar m tn As far as the erection is concerned, I suspect this is not related to the bupropion. Have you tried one of the PDE5 inhibitors (i.e., Viagra, Levitra, Cialis)?
Avatar f tn Before now I only had to think about something arousing, then it would be a struggle to get him down. I lost my way a bit last year and went a bit wild on drugs. Now I have a steady girlfriend and am back on track but struggling sexually. I'm wondering if I've damaged my penis through drug abuse. It's like I have a blockage there or something. I'm physically fit.
Avatar m tn my friend has diabetes for about 10 years and he wants to get married soon, but he worried about his sex performance, so is there any medical supply or drugs that can help and increase his performance in bed?
Avatar f tn I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.

Avatar n tn Viagra and Levitra are the two FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) approved anti-impotence drugs that are indeed effective in helping men.Viagra needs no introduction! Pfizer's wonder drug, sildenafil, better known as Viagra, is the trusted treatment for male impotence problems.

Avatar n tn t been able to get or hold erections....not often but enough that it bothers me. I have tried all kinds of drugs...viagra, cialis, over the counter stuff....they work but I don't like the side effects or having to use chemicals. Is there anything natural out there that gives you that extra sex drive you need to ensure you always get and hold a good erection...or should I just assume I will have that problem because I am getting older...I don't want to lose it.
Avatar m tn after 4 years i started on a suboxone program and is still taking it.....and through these 6 years i still cant get an erections...there is a little firmness but nothing like it was before..Viagra doesnt help. also once when i was on viagra there was a little firmness but it seems that the tip or below the tip seems to curve when there is a little firmnes.....so now if there is a little erection, it doesnt stick straight out. its more of an arch...also i am a diabetic.....

Avatar f tn The patients taking alpha blockers may use Viagra only after stabilizing of hemodynamic indexes. And lastly, certain drugs for cardiac disease may interact with Viagra, and if you are using them you should avoid it. The drugs are: Calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine (Norvasc). Concomitant use of Amlodipine and Viagra may cause lowering of blood pressure. Alpha blockers like doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), and terazosin (Hytrin®).
Avatar n tn does taking drugs like Viagra help with premature ejaculation and sustained erections following ejaculation? Would like to have sex for a longer period of time, once I ejaculate erection goes away as well, would like to please my partner in sex.
Avatar f tn A while ago my boyfriend and i started trying to have sex, but he couldn't keep a hard on. We are both 17 and he exercises daily, doesn't smoke or take drugs and isn't a massive drinker. He can usually sustain a hard on during oral, but these days even that is a bit hit and miss. There was a few months when it was really bad an he would have to try for up to an hour to get it up. He keep's referring to it as 'broken' and seems to think Viagra will help.
