TX has really diminished mysex drive and I'm wondering if anyone out there knows if it's ok for men to us Viagra while on TX. How about after TX? Is Viagra ok for those of us with liver disease. Sorry to post on such a trivial manner given that most of us are suffering from a lot worse symptoms than diminished sex drive but hopefully some of you will have some info. This is the best hcv site on the web and I feal fortunate to have found it.Thanks to all of you for making it that way.
The Child-Turcotte-Pugh scoring system (A,B,C) is a way to stage chronic liver disease and is used as a prognostic tool. It tells you how long you can expect to live on average (sans transplant), according to accumulated points which determine your classification of A,B,or C. It is not used to stage cirrhosis, but rather ESLD. You can go from a B to an A based upon elimination of encephalopathy. This is one reason why subjective parameters were left out of the MELD scoring system.

I'm grade one, stage 0, genotype 2b, VL 12 million, positive rheumatoid factor and have cryo symptoms. Probably get the cryocrit tomorrow. Please, give me any thoughts you may have.
April 1, 2010 (Nuthetal, Germany) — The largest observational study so far to examine the association between chocolate consumption and risk of cardiovascular disease has found that those who ate the most chocolate--around 7.5 g per day--had a 39% lower risk of MI and stroke than individuals who ate almost no chocolate (1.7 g per day) [1].
I get a tingle or pressure outside the skull as opposed to a headache, I definetely have anxiety, I went through a strange order where I was overstimulated on viagra and had to go to the ER. They check me out and said I was OK. I then had symptoms of hypoglycimia, which I was told later by my doctor is possible from anxiety from all the adrelin that can be produced during a traumatic event.
On my question about giving tracleer to a human being that has already severe cirohssis of liver, you did not really answer my question.Person was told her liver was fine and it was not,so was given tracleer, and she is at a point of dying.Tracleer was given for pulmonaty hypertension. I think they shouldn't have given her tracleer. You say tracleer can cause liver problems, when severe cirohssis was already present. PLEASE ANSWER WHAT I AM ASKING.
mode of thinking that applies to everyone with the virus) Not all people who have this disease have a really accelerated case of this disease and that should be remembered by the non-responders and relapsers....this latter demographic deserve to get good info as well...I was just talking to my friend (hadn't heard from in a long time) he tried tx twice and relapsed (3 years ago now was his last treatment) then tried the infergen and could only take 4 months of that, never SVRed...
But Lady's do be aware of this disease it is rare and really shocked me because I only thought dysplasia was in the cervix. It is however a strain of HPV. I am married and have been with my husband for 13yrs so I haven't been living a promiscuious life style. I guess its just one of those things that happens.
As to Viagra, it is metabolized in the liver and its probably not wise to use it without your docs permission and instructions. I know that full doses of any of these meds are not recommended. During tx, with all the other weird sides going on, adding something new to the mix may be unwise. Good luck with your results and with your tx decision.

1) How long should it take for symptoms from medication to wear off? 2) How effective is Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra in treating these problems? 3) Can a varicoscele cause ED problems and in what way? 4) How much time do I have to get treated? I'm concerned about being able to recover. The Viagra studies show that the average age is around 57 and the average duration of impotence was about 5 years with a range from 0 to 10 years.
They say my thyroid test is normal but how can that be low body temperature, no hair on legs had a pretty good size goiter in neck, coldness easy, fatigue. Liver enzymes are up they are about 74 to 75 normal under 40. What is wrong with these doctors they do not know anything they say my cholesterol is real high like 270 and they do not give me any cholesterol medications. Mis diagnosed with Lupus test positive 3 months later Lupus test negative. They even started me on cortisteroids for Lupus.

According to the literature on the testosterone cream, he should NOT be using it with liver disease. His doctor also lets him take tylenol for aches and pains associated with the treatment. He pops tylenol probably everyday. I know my husband should be exercising and eating healthier but those are choices he has made (I have tried to tell him that his liver can not handle the extra weight and he nevers goes in for a physical so I have no idea what his cholesterol is).
-Would a semen analysis or biopsy be more of a definitive test and show any problems for me? -Peyronie's disease????????????????!!! I doubt it 100% and >>> Either a high or low level of thyroid hormone may cause problems with sexual desire or erections. Thyroid dysfunction? But my penis is floppy and limp and goes a bit hard pointing down. I rarely notice it kind of bending down with a bump on the top (I think it is a bump). But that is due to bent penis and weak erection.
for determining the progression of liver disease. Your liver disease will progress usually over decades of time through the various stages until you reach Stage 4 (cirrhosis). In order to stop this progression, you must be treated for the underlying cause of the inflammation of your liver. In our case, the HCV virus. So I would recommend finding out the current condition of your liver and then decide if you want/need to treat the HCV virus.
Coming to cialis before starting treatment with this you need to rule out contraindications like liver failure, coronary artery disease, visual disorders etc. But in no way it can be implicated as the cause of infections. Side effects predominantly include dizziness, visual disturbances, nasal congestion, heart-burn, flushing headaches, priapism etc. See what the swab culture tests say, and treatment accordingly. Take care.
I went to the ER and they looked at me like I was crazy or drunk( I don't drink). I finally got home and took some ativan, Darvocet and the Neurontin they gave me, and then layed in the tub crying for 17 hours. I finally fell asleep from exhaustion. I went to my doctor and he said I may of had Lupus, Fibro, Rhuematoid Arthritis, Neuropathy, or 6 other things I can't pronounce.
B vaccine, Viagra, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, Celexa, Serzone, Lexpro, Effexorxir, Wellbutrin S/R and many other prescription drugs. Amoxicillin will raise the viral load millions of points with as few as three pills The anti depressants raise the viral load slowly over time with a steady move upward. The Hepatitis A & B vaccine will raise the viral load millions of points and it will take 9 months to two years before it starts to come back down.

Hi all. New to this. I am a 44 year old woman who is physically fit (gym 5 days a week) and eats pretty well. Approx 5 weeks ago I developed veins showing on both hands. They have not gone away and infact they are bulging most times, and I can "feel them". They have increased and I can see some starting to climb up my forearm now. Before this, my veins barely ever showed.
The doctors just prescribe them with the knowledge that this pill goes for that disease. Some pills (and definitely capsules) have a protective coating on them so they dissolve in the proper part of the digestive system. If they dissolve too early, you may experience unpleasant side effects. Some are made to trickle into the system over a long period and they shouldn't be cut and damaged. My Diltiazem is a pill in a capsule so I should not remove it.
Additive effect of ethanol and HCV subgenomic replicon expression on COX-2 protein levels and activity Abstract Summary. The mechanisms by which alcohol exacerbates liver injury in patients with hepatitis C are unknown. We used the hepatitis C virus (HCV) subgenomic replicon cell system to evaluate the effect of ethanol on HCV replication and viral protein synthesis. Our results demonstrate that alcohol stimulates HCV replicon expression at both HCV-RNA and protein levels.
