Avatar m tn Hi my name's dave,I'm 31 & I've been having sexual problems/erectile dysfunction for about 1 year/10 months whether it's with a girl or when I'm alone. There's some days I can't get an erection at all the days I can I can't maintain it for more than 10 minutes! It's not pyschological casue I've had ED for about 10 months/ a year ( I admit there was 1 or 2 occasions when I was stressed).
Avatar n tn The best thing to do is control blood sugar and cholesterol and get optimize weight. My brother-in-law is struggling with these problems also, including nerve pain. For ED that goes along with diabetes, tablets like Viagra may work. Urologists that specialist in ED do have other options if the pills don't work. http://www.webmd.
Avatar f tn So it has nothing to do with MS. Viagra increases blood flow and it helps a lot. It will drop your blood pressure and you don't want it to drop to a dangerous level, so you need to monitor it. Start with the minimum effective dose which is 25mg and see if it does something for you. If you wait for a study from the FDA on Viagra for MS, then it will probably happen after you are dead. Please try this now. Viagra has a very good safety profile for a number of years now.
Avatar m tn Please do more web searches and DO NOT use Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. I also have RP and ED. I bought L-arginine/Orinithine but am wary about using until I read that it's ok. Blood flow changes seem to be very bad to already bad retinal cells.
Avatar m tn t have diabetes, then be assured that Viagra would probably restore your erections if you needed them back. In fact, if you keep your blood sugar down, even with diabetes, Viagra might work, but maybe not as well. Sorry about your marriage. If she is on antidepressants, that will kill her sex drive.
Avatar n tn I am scheduled for a thallium stress test, and would like to know how the use of viagra or nitro prior to the test would influance the results.
Avatar f tn t last the whole time. He tried Viagra once and it did not seem to help much. Is there anything else he can do, expecially with the added complications of HP and Diabetes 2?
Avatar f tn ) I should have indicated it is my husband who is taking heart meds that discourage taking viagra. Carvedilol strengthens the heart muscle while viagra dilates the blood vessels to allow more blood to flow. The two drugs would work against one another. I am just trying to find out if occasional use of viagra would be safe or a risk to take.
Avatar m tn Although she is a nurse, she does not know many things about diabetes, and last week he had a very bad low blood sugar episode, and she did not do anything to help him, so now I am more worried for him. I am trying to talk about it with him, but he pushes me away, and he does not let me talk about it right now. I hope that sooner or later it will get better... Thanks again!
Avatar f tn My husband is on the medication Suboxone and I was needing to know if he can take Viagra with this medicine? We don't want him to take it and go into withdraws or anything so, are the two compatible?
Avatar m tn Viagra(Sildenafil) is a vasodilator (that is, a drug that dilates blood vessels), and consequently it lowers the systolic blood pressure (the "top" number in blood pressure measurements) by an average of 8 mmHg. In the majority of patients with heart disease, including most of those being treated with antihypertensive drugs, this is not a problem.
Avatar m tn It has helped but it has not solved the problem. I went to my doctor and he gave me a prescription for Viagra, 50 mg. My question is this: Is it safe to occasionally take Viagra if I also take L-Arginine? Are there are any potential contra indications in that Viagra should not be taken by a person who takes L-Arginine? If so, is the contraindication just for that day? In other words, would I be safe if I did not take L-Arginine on the day I took Viagra?
Avatar n tn ANYWAY, Ive discovered about myself that if I had just recently had perhaps a prolonged High Blood Sugar then getting an erection is difficult. So in order to have consistent, good erections Blood Sugar control is a must. If they do get high then get on it quick! (As in take the right amount of insulin right away) As I understand it as long as it isn't high for too long its much better than a prolonged High. Obviously, Viagra or Cialas is a possibility.
595295 tn?1219239932 I am curious to know if anyone has purchased Viagra online and if so does anybody know of any good sites I should look into. I am a novice in this category and any references would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn Hi, I'm writting to you in hope that you can help me with my situation. I'm 29 years old and since I'm 20 years old i've been having difficulties achieving erections. Basically I really have major trouble achieving an erection even when I'm alone masturbating and when I do, my erection doesnt last and it is pretty soft, not enough for penetration. I noticed that he blood doesn't hold.
Avatar f tn Recently I have been curious about using a penis ring in conjunction with Viagra to make my orgasms more intense, however I am slightly worried that this could be dangerous given how Viagra increases blood flow and a ring cuts it off and also... peyronie disease. Is it safe? Or should I just not even bother?
Avatar m tn Are there any known links between this condition (burst blood vessels) and viagra? i have read about possible links to vision loss, due to reduced pressure, but it seems the opposite for me?
Avatar m tn As far as I know, I don’t think any of these would affect diabetes, don’t think they have any effect on blood sugar. They could affect blood pressure slightly, so if you have any worries about that, you could check w/ your Dr. Hiwever, I’ll caution you that most MD’s don’t react very favorably to use of supplements or natural solutions. Some of the younger ones are prbly a little more favorable, older ones more convinced that only traditional medical treatment is to be trusted...
Avatar f tn Calcium channel blockers like Amlodipine (Norvasc). Concomitant use of Amlodipine and Viagra may cause lowering of blood pressure. Alpha blockers like doxazosin (Cardura®), prazosin (Minipress®), and terazosin (Hytrin®). Viagra when used in combination with alpha blockers may cause drop in blood pressure, light-headedness, dizziness, or fainting. Nitrates (nitrogen oxide donors) should not be taken with Viagra. Concomitant use of Viagra and nitrates may cause severe drop in blood pressure.
Avatar m tn i am 38 and have no problem getting an erection. what would a viagra do for me if i wanted to give my wife a special night? any risks?
Avatar n tn I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs. I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.
Avatar n tn The main thing is keeping your blood sugar under control, because it's the elevated blood sugar levels that are causing the damage to the nerves and blood vessels, which is probably contributing to your problem. So, yes, anything you can do to keep your diabetes in check will probably help. Staying active is really important because it can also help keep the arteries clear and exercise produces new blood capillaries in your system.
Avatar n tn Also, some meds for high BP have a side effect of inhibiting erectile function (EF) - there’s an article on Web MD called ‘ Blood Pressure Medications and Erectile Dysfunction’ that speaks to this. HCTZ is one that can have that effect. But the article mentions some that may actually help w/ EF, so talk to your Dr. I think in your case, it’s a combination of things - you’re a little older (but NOT ‘old’ !!), there’s the BP issue, plus the meds, etc.
Avatar n tn Speaking from experience, good old fashioned exercise on a frequent basis and very limited alcoholic drinks prior to sexual activity will ensure good blood flow to the area needed most. Have fun!
