I cant sleep and was watching the VH1 show Celeb Rehab and I have to say I wish I could have detoxed in that center! Its so nice. Hell, I wish I could stay there right now. I like Dr. Drew too. People say that he is a fame--- but I dont know . he seems to really care about his patients. Either way that recovery center is so nice and beautiful.

I am pleased the awareness of epidemic drug abuse is being recognized, however, I am extremely disappointed in the complete lack of reality in the the VH1 Reality Show .... Celebrity Rehab...Season 3.

This is season 2 of the VH1 celebrity rehab. We all watched season 1 last year. It is a really good show and very, very informative...

My doc told me it would be 20 weeks for me in the cast. He took my cast off after 11 weeks and did not give me orders for PT. I have excruciating knee pain, am unable to bend my knee, and am truly afraid to weight bear. I didn't require any surgery. Does any of this sound normal? I am an icu nurse and it just feels too soon to have the cast off, no walking cast or anything. Thanks for your time.

never went to get it checked out after they took the cast off...now i work at Starbucks and the other day it started to hurt. Yesterday it started to hurt even more and it actually caused me some lack of sleep last night. i also realize it hurts allot when i move my fingers... I took excedrin and i put my brace on this morning to prevent me from moving it but its kind of hard not to move my fingers. do you think this warrants a trip to the doctor?

I think it is too early to remove the cast in your case. May be you can ask your doctor about plastic cast walker, which is much lighter and allows you to walk to some extent. Once full fracture healing is confirmed by the doctor, rehabilitation can continue with a physiotherapist. Hydrotherapy exercises are very helpful in regaining ankle range of movement. Best.

She has to wear a boot for 8-12 weeks. If the orthopedician wants to go ahead with a below knee cast for 4-6 weeks then go ahead. She has to avoid weight bearing and follow all instructions of her orthopedician for a speedy recovery. Take care!

I had a cast for 7 weeks (non-walking) and the first week without a cast I was not allowed to walk. Now I am allowed to walk, but only on 20% of my body weight and I have an ankle brace. I watch it depending on what the addiction is....I know it sounds crazy but it just depends. The one I watched was on VH1 the Dr. Drew Rehab one.... it was interesting to see the people who "have it all" how addicted they are... the show did leave some stuff out....but showed some good recovery stuff.

i got out of 30-day treatment for opiates, then fractured my wrist the next day and back on percocets. i am getting my cast off tomorrow and am out of pills except for a couple. i have klonopin. clonidine, lyrica and neurontin. am very scared- can't believe this happened. should i take one-half percocet along with other drugs to help withdrawal? i am mostly scared of extreme depression i get with withdrawal.

Mike struggled with a extreme methodone and heroin/painkiller addiction and was clean for 6 months after leaving the VH1 show celebrity rehab. Hurray! This am I walked into the shop and 1 of the kits eyes were open and clear!! Usually I have to clean both the kit's eyes and help them open them 2x a day. I'm so happy!! They're so happy after I get them cleaned up! Little Boy tries to wash his face but his arms are a little short still and he tips over, just cutest thing ever! Oh-"Turn Around Bright Eyes" just came on VH1 Classic!! haha!

okay...so i was able to sit still long enough last night to watch celebrity rehab...usually it's a great show but in case you didn't catch it.....the patients are 3 days from their graduation, dr.drew decides that a sober night out will be helpful for them...he took them to a comedy club...they're having virgin drinks and water, everything seems great for them until the comic comes on stage...

I guess every time I advance in my range of motion or rub it raw in the air cast it keeps splitting. Sounds like you had or have it rough with your heeling. I'm tryin to be patient but persistent with recovery and definitely don't want to re-injure.

I do not get to see the ortho for my pelvis for another week - but he said no physio or rehab for that or my hamstring until I see him. My question is, is this normal? I mean I only spent a few hours in the hospital and I have not even really been looked at since. My ribs, which hurt me from day one, have gotten really bad the last week - I plan to see the clinic tomorrow. I am mostly worried about the healing of my pelvis and hamstring.
