Please help. thank you and God bless you.
I have CONSTANT pressure to urinate 24/7. My ob/gyn thought it was UTI but urine lab tests showed no infection. She told me to see a urologist. He put me on Vesicare. but i do not have "urgent" intermittant feelings of voiding. I have ALL THE TIME 24/7 pressure and pain to urinate. I DO NOT have leakage. Please help. thank you and God bless you.
old post-menopausal (5+ yrs.) woman having feelings of pressure on my bladder and the need to urinate which never goes away and becomes more acute after urinating. There is no pain or itching. This began suddenly about 10 days ago after week at beach. I was in water, sitting in wet bathing suit and in heat. Have had urinalysis, urine culture, pelvic ultrasound of ovaries and bladder - all normal. No blood, no sugar, no protein, etc.
In the meantime, my urologist gave me vesicare to help with the bladder pressure/urgency, and said to try sitting on a hot water bottle once in a while. I also take uristat or azo standard (both over the counter) for the irritated bladder or whenever I feel like I have a uti. Good luck!
the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...and, said doctor I haven't taken these meds for the past four days and, my blood pressure is back to the range of 113/72 68 pulse....he said.....

Exercising in hot, humid weather causes shortness of breath & weakness. Coffee seems to make it worse. (Is this possible?) Tennis player also takes Vesicare, Doxazosin, Altace, Celebrex, & Prevacid. Blood pressure is normal with this medication and EKG is normal. A minimal amount of running on the court in the Florida sun & humidity brings on symptoms. Problem does not happen when weather cools.
Like 1/2 a plate most of the time. I am taking Vesicare, with a non standard dosing as I cannot tolerate it daily. It helps moderately. When the sensation is beyond able to bare I take Pyridium which is meant as a symptom killer for UTI's. It helps quite a bit, calms down my bladder. But long term use is not something it's intended for. I have about 1.
It lowers my already low blood pressure, though, so I counter it with salt tablets. That has eliminated my lightheadedness. Midrin for migraines I don't prevent, and I also take it for pain behind one eye on advice of the neurologist. Miripax for my one restless leg, but it made me nauseous, and the restless leg is only occasional. I'll take it as needed and see if that works. Meclizine as needed for vertigo. Vitamins B6, B12, and D3 in doses beyond the RDA, on doctors' recommendations.

It just feels like a pressure sensation down there in my lower bladder.. At times I find myself getting up about 4 times before my bladder feels empty to fall asleep..I did have a colonoscopy recently and was told I have a small anal nodule about less than 1 cm...But I assume they would have found any prostate problems...Also, I saw a urologist and he said everything seemed okay and that there isn't much to do, although he gave me some Ditropan if I need it....
Blood pressure is better than that of a 20 year old. I know when I'm hurting..my blood pressure runs a little high..hmm.. anyways..they admit her on chest pains because we all know they're not going to admit you for freakin heartburn. UGH. So after 4 days of being in there she's fine..imagine that!!! All test show normal..no signs of inflammation or problems. I could type ALOT more but I don't have time lol. I have no idea why in the heII they baby her...ugh.
, 110 lbs, and I have fibromyalgia and a clinical diagnosis of Lyme Disease (no positive blood test). I've had a lot of symptoms for over five years, one of which is a problem with frequent urination and feeling the urge to go immediately after voiding (I mean immediately, before I even leave the bathroom). On a good day I will be able to hold it so that I only go once every 1.
Tovias, vesicare (5 and 10 mg), flowmax, ditropan, oxybutin, etc. Nothing helped. I had urodynamics and all the other test done like looking inside my bladder. Nothing. I also found out that I had very large varicoceles with that doctor and wanted to get them removed. I flew up to Stanford to try to get the best care possible. I saw the wonderful stanford urology DR. Michael eisenberg.
Dipstick test showed infection although looking back I guess it could have just been elevated red or white blood cells. 4 weeks of 4 different antibiotics later, I still felt like I had a UTI. I had a D&C at 8 weeks pp and symptoms continued. Symptoms include suprapubic pressure and feeling of having to urinate frequently. Sometimes, there is a numbing/tingling or aching pain in the pelvis as well. I have no history of frequent UTIs or abdominal surgery, also, no history of allergies.
Changes in the venous system can cause changes in blood pressure, too. Causing changes in sweating. Urinary problems. In his experience (40 years treating and studying and researching MS) gastroparesis is very UNcommon except for the severely affected, bedridden patient, but colonoparesis (floppy, weak colon) is very common. Heart effects are seen, though not as often as the peripheral problems, especially in heart rate and rhythm, tachycardias and such.
I have no blood in urine my urine is clear.....Can you please give me advise.....Im a 34 year old female healthy....I know my grandmother years died from ovarian cancer but my mom and sisters are healthy....Im just concern I worry about everything any advise would help me.....
I am on ultraset, hydrocodone, nueronotin, wellbutrin, zanaflex, soma at times, klongopin, vesicare, and blood pressure medicine. Before I got injured I was extremely healthy. Now I am being treated by a pain clinic, I have had 18 epidurals and 6 botox injections. I need help and answers but I dont know where to go. All doctors are at odds with each other treating the symptoms and not the problem. I hope you have some advice for me- I am lost at wits!
Since August 2008 I started getting urination frequency, it started around the time i got a flare up of IBS. I found myself wanting to pee more. Plus i have discomfort/pressure in the gentials and bladder. The only relief i would get is by voiding. That first episode lasted for 10 days. I have had 3 other episodes since then. The only difference is every time i have a flare up, the symptoms last longer. At present i have had frequency on/off for about 6 months.
I was referred to a urologist/gynecologist for followup and she has been wonderful. Because of my low blood pressure, I could not take any of the standard bladder drugs and she put me on Flomax- we stopped that after a month because it just made it worse. I have gone to self-cathing 3-4 times a day and that has really helped cut down of the issues.
On a trip from VT to NY , we had to stop every 20 minutes at every rest stop for me go the bathroom, and sometimes, i urinated very little compared to how i full i felt. I went to my GP 4 weeks ago, and he test me - no infection, no blood. clean urine sample. Some days i feel normal... some days i go the the bathroom 3 times in 1 hour. i have started to try to stretch the time, since i know i am not full. sometimes i am totally full and have a normal void.
yes goto a urologist get tested for a UTI also get him to pull blood work on your PSA level and do a prostate examination. yes you will be scared to have him stick his finger somewhere but really you pick alittle discomfort or your life?
I have a history of sudden and transitory tachycardias (usually because of Anxiety/panick attacks), as well as fainting and drop in blood pressure. Also, recent onset of migraines following minor head trauma (clear MRI and neurological exam). Recently (5 days ago), I developed chest and Back pain. Sometimes sharp and localized, sometimes a dull ache; generally affecting my sternum and left-side of my chest, as well as my back and shoulders. I'd say the pain ranges from a 2 to a 4.
I had every side effect to a blood pressure med I was taking for tremors, and i hadn't even read what they were. I just thought I was getting a lot sicker; this was before I got diagnosed. And Vesicare; it's working wonders for you (thank heavens!) while when I took it, it made my mouth and throat so dry that my tongue stuck to the roof of my mouth, I had sores on my tongue, and my throat hurt and I sounded really raspy. My eyes were more dry than usual, too.

I also read something on-line (I think NMSS) about doctors trying out a blood pressure medication that seems to be helping people with PPMS. When I first read about this I got kind of excited because it was spelled similar to the BP medication I take, but alas it was a different med.
I have no high sugar levels or blood in my urine. I am perfectly fine in that sense. I was given Vesicare and I can't tell if that it working. I have no feelings of urgency, I just have this constant ache in my penis which comes off as having to pee. It's relieved when I pee slightly but comes back. Sometimes it burns to pee but not everytime. I don't wake up in the middle of the night....The only sign of the usual ailments is the feeling in my penis and an urge to pee.
I go to the Urologist and he thinks I may have Cystitis - but I have no infections showing in my urine, my bladder does not hurt, although I have some pelvic pressure.
It's been uneventful so far, but my new 3T MRIs will be on Saturday. Their results will determine whether my neuro finds some treatment to put me on. They have really never changed much since the first ones in 2005, so I'm not expecting anything different. My body betrays me that way, just like the "normal" urodynamic study??!! I am still incontinent and am having my dose of Vesicare raised to higher than the suggested maximum. Man, I'll try ANYTHING at this point.
