Fatigue and dry mouth and dyspepsia are frequent side effects of Vesicare but it is unlikely to cause any sore throat. Your sore throat can be due to some viral infection. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and use over-the-counter throat lozenges. Salt water gargle is also a good way to relieve a sore throat. In addition, you can take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and paracetamol (acetaminophen) after consulting your general physician.
After that medications like anticholinergics and tricyclic antidepressants are often used but they are not without side effects and should be taken after a medical supervision. Occasionally, electrical stimulation and biofeedback therapy may be used with bladder retraining. Reconstructive bladder surgery is the last treatment option. I suggest you to consult a urologist and discuss these treatment options with him.

It does work, but I have just gone off it due to it causing major constipation and I mean major and now my burning has come back so I guess I will have to go back on it and use both Vesicare and something for constipation to make me go.
I wish there was something else I could take, and oh yep some bladder urgency is back too and some spasms, I must admit this has made me a bit down as I thought perhaps after 5mths on the drug that the problem might have gone away.

Down side of Vesicare is an EXTREME dry mouth and I mean extreme but it does get better and now for me EXTREME constipation, I have been on it for about 5mths and I was warned by both the neuro and the uro that it can affect this part of my body, but I also think i have loss of some function there too which wouldn't help.
I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
t thrilled w/ the doctor in general but she said it was just anxiety and stress. I decided for a 2nd opinion at a urologist and she agreed stress was the biggest culprit but thinks I could also have an OAB. Mind you I had a clean UTI at all the doctors, a good exam at my gyn but she sent me for ultrasound which was normal, and I had blood work done for all things including diabetes. Although my glucose came in at 101 and under 99 is the norm it wasn't cause for concern.
which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...

Started me on Levaquin 500mg PO QD x 7 days and Vesicare 10mg PO QD.The cyst went down but the pain around the epdidymis persisted w/ no change. After 4 weeks of Vesicare I still have no change in my nocturia. I had an ultrasound of my bladder, testicles, kidneys all normal.

She suggested that it is a medication that works in the urethra and would not have the same side effects of vesicare and that I would know if it was working in one week. She did not appear however to be able to give an indication as to whether this medication would require to be used in the long term or whether it could lead to a resolution of the difficulties.
I kept with the Vesicare and when we came back I was pretty depressed to be home and had maybe 2-3 days within 2 weeks I had "issuses" of frequency lasting a few hours but then they went away. As of last Mon 11/1, after 3 weeks on the Vesicare and after being home for 2 weeks Iam 100% back to normal and I can't tell if it's from the Vesicare or because the anxiety from the trip has finally faded out of my body as well as the depression from having to come back home.
I know we are all different and our reactions are different, I am just hoping it works without too many side affects. Urgency is not my greatest problem at the moment and it talks about that on the website for it but it's more my burning and spasms but the burning is the worse.

Can I take effexor with Flomax and vesicare as I had anxiety disorder and use to take effexor before but stopped it about 1 year back. Now I am having a lot more anxiety due to my present condition. After stopping the Vesicar I am feeling the urge to urine all the time and i have to use to wash room every hour. Should I start 5mmg Vesicare again?
My symptoms did not improve and I began on Vesicare, which did not help, and now I am on Detrol LA. This does not seem to be helping either. I am continuing to urinate 20-30 times a day. Sitting also makes it worse. Please help. I cannot continue to live like this.

I need to go for a swine flu jab so maybe I will just make an appointment and see my GP tomorrow. It is a side affect of Vesicare and having numbness in those regions doesn't help, I also suffer from a very dry mouth on Vesicare too, but the benefits for me at the moment out weigh the drawbacks, providing we can get my constipation under control. B.T.W. I take 10mg of Vesicare, I tried 5 but it wasn't affective in reducing my bladder spasms etc.
I don't know about Methadone, Susie but I had the same problem. I've been on Hydromorphone (Dilaudidi) and Morphine ER postoperatively for knee surgery. It was so bad that the urine would actually start running down my legs before I could get to the bathroom. It had started out as OAB (overactive bladder) and got progressively worse. It was a real dilemna because with the post op pain I couldn't move fast, but the urgency required me to move fast.
I am 55 yrs old female and went for a physical and was told i had high blood presure, that day it was 144/92. I had a blood test and it showed high cholesteral 257. Doctor put me on 10 MG Lisinopril. I took the tab for 5 days on the fifth day my heart was pounding so hard in my chest and i felt like someone was sitting on my chest. This happened a few more time over the next week and it would go away after a few min.
22 days on sovaldi-olysio-no side effects,not even a headache.And to this life long non responder who has done and failed with everything that has been on the market,this combo is working.Cant believe I am getting better and not suffering like I did with all the previous poison.Its like Dr. Bones McCoy from Star Trek brought this stuff back from the future.
I woke this morning with aches and pains and have been experiencing a headache on and off all day that is when I am not SLEEPING. Honestly I am not complaining especially since I had expected much worse. My question is do the symptoms change or/and get worse as treatment continues. I would assume they do get worse since the meds build up in your body. I have 3 kids ages 16,11,and 7.
