The major one was abdominal cramping. I also have long standing urological problems and Vesicare was causing problems in that area as well. Headaches could have been part of it as well. The drug was tried on June 12, 2008 and even has one Rep on it.
I have most of the bottle left. I will never try it again.

I'm using Vesicare and Lyrica and I just got my urinalysis result and they're normal. Can Vesicare and Lyrica affect urinalysis? Are they antibiotics?
I need to go for a swine flu jab so maybe I will just make an appointment and see my GP tomorrow. It is a side affect of Vesicare and having numbness in those regions doesn't help, I also suffer from a very dry mouth on Vesicare too, but the benefits for me at the moment out weigh the drawbacks, providing we can get my constipation under control. B.T.W. I take 10mg of Vesicare, I tried 5 but it wasn't affective in reducing my bladder spasms etc.
t thrilled w/ the doctor in general but she said it was just anxiety and stress. I decided for a 2nd opinion at a urologist and she agreed stress was the biggest culprit but thinks I could also have an OAB. Mind you I had a clean UTI at all the doctors, a good exam at my gyn but she sent me for ultrasound which was normal, and I had blood work done for all things including diabetes. Although my glucose came in at 101 and under 99 is the norm it wasn't cause for concern.
which meant I had to return to my urologist....He gave me elmiron and vesicare to treat the IC....the Elmiron never helped my pain and, the Vesicare took my blood pressure from 113/72 pulse 68 to 153/103 pulse 122...I contacted my urologist and, he stated...that's not true ... neither of these meds would cause your blood pressure to go up...well, I called him back four days later...

Down side of Vesicare is an EXTREME dry mouth and I mean extreme but it does get better and now for me EXTREME constipation, I have been on it for about 5mths and I was warned by both the neuro and the uro that it can affect this part of my body, but I also think i have loss of some function there too which wouldn't help.
I was put on Vesicare 5 mg daily and also was taking fluoxetine for depression and anxiety over this condition. After taking the meds for awhile my symptoms went away and I was symptom free for 3 years. Because of the expense of the vesicare and because I was doing so well. I decided to stop taking both medications. My bladder was fine and normal and then about a year later the symtoms came back. So I am now back on the vesicare and the fluoxetine.
I kept with the Vesicare and when we came back I was pretty depressed to be home and had maybe 2-3 days within 2 weeks I had "issuses" of frequency lasting a few hours but then they went away. As of last Mon 11/1, after 3 weeks on the Vesicare and after being home for 2 weeks Iam 100% back to normal and I can't tell if it's from the Vesicare or because the anxiety from the trip has finally faded out of my body as well as the depression from having to come back home.

Fatigue and dry mouth and dyspepsia are frequent side effects of Vesicare but it is unlikely to cause any sore throat. Your sore throat can be due to some viral infection. Drink plenty of fluids throughout the day and use over-the-counter throat lozenges. Salt water gargle is also a good way to relieve a sore throat. In addition, you can take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen and paracetamol (acetaminophen) after consulting your general physician.
Can I take effexor with Flomax and vesicare as I had anxiety disorder and use to take effexor before but stopped it about 1 year back. Now I am having a lot more anxiety due to my present condition. After stopping the Vesicar I am feeling the urge to urine all the time and i have to use to wash room every hour. Should I start 5mmg Vesicare again?
It does work, but I have just gone off it due to it causing major constipation and I mean major and now my burning has come back so I guess I will have to go back on it and use both Vesicare and something for constipation to make me go.
I wish there was something else I could take, and oh yep some bladder urgency is back too and some spasms, I must admit this has made me a bit down as I thought perhaps after 5mths on the drug that the problem might have gone away.

After 4 weeks of Vesicare I still have no change in my nocturia. I had an ultrasound of my bladder, testicles, kidneys all normal. I then had a cystoscopy done which showed no abnormalities besides a tight sphincter. My urologist told me to continue the Vesicare which I have been doing.

i had a cmg test done today and the nusre told me it was the worst case of bladder spasm that she has ever seen and brought in other medical staff to see this they have put me on vesicare tablets 10 mg and i am wondering if there is anything else can be done i am worried in case it means i need to be catherterised because of this how likely is this ?
organs in the right place. Stretched my urethra...ugh. no better. said I had a stenosis and atrophy of the urethra. Gave me a script for Vesicare but told me to wait a few days to see how procedure goes. also mentioned estrogen Creme. I am miserable....what should I do?
I have having OAB for years now, i am on vesicare medication but it is not really helping. Over the years i also been having ED here and there but recently it is getting worse...esp when i stop taking meds. Been seeing different urologist but they cant seem to find anything wrong with me. I am 34years.
s. Thought it was a UTI because I am sexually active. Went to the urgent care and got prescribed a generic antibiotic for UTI's. That didn't help. Went to a DR. Marinelli in Fullerton, CA. No help at all. I was put on "old men medications": Tovias, vesicare (5 and 10 mg), flowmax, ditropan, oxybutin, etc. Nothing helped. I had urodynamics and all the other test done like looking inside my bladder. Nothing.
as in it feels like there is still a little more that could come out but it does not. I went to a doctor a few months back and he prescribed Vesicare but it does not really seem to be helping me. It's very frustrating because it feels like I cannot entirely empty my bladder even though like 90-95% comes out but that last bit stays in. What could the issue be?

Urologist ran another urinalysis and did another pelvic ultrasound, again all clean and negative. He gave me 5 mg of Vesicare to take once daily and told me to come back in a month. After 2 weeks, no relief from the Vesicare, so he gave me a 10 mg doseage. I return to see him on Monday (Feb. 11).
My problem is, I have had this pain for 4 months now. I don't know what to do about it. I have tried eliminating citrus, acids, caffeine, etc.
I am a 23 year old female who has the constant urge to urinate on and off for two months now. Various doctors have checked for a UTI and there is none. I have been on macrobid, vesicare and now I'm on flavoxate. Each of these medicines have worked for about a week and then I get the constant urge to urinate again. I just started the flavoxate and I have not gotten any relief. I'm not in any pain, but the constant urge to urinate seems painful and is affected my daily life greatly.
Thanks for responding. The hormone pills i take is called estrace @ 2mg, once daily.The bladder pain and pressure began like 2 days after hysterectomy. Doc says theres no infection. There's more frequent urination. Doctor who did hyst. said he had to separate my bladder from old scar tissue from previous c-section in '04, but says my bladder wasn't injured during procedure. Went to urologist yesterday and he's running tests on my bladder and kidneys on 8/19.
